Classes were unusually boring these days. One month has already passed since Asuma's wedding. Time was flying fast, not for Sakura though. After Itachi and her parted ways– which was thanks to Naruto and Ino waiting for Sakura at her very own front door, piss drunk – in the early morning sun, the female prayed he'd stay away from her, which he actually did.
It irked the pinkette. In the back of her mind, she had the vague hope the night meant a little to the popular womanizer. It was stupid to even think that, the Uchiha prodigy was known to be a player with a heart made of stone, so why would he choose to change his behavior just for some little, med-scholl student.
Then again, why had Itachi acted so possessively towards her, that time when she was getting intimate with Kiba? She truly did not get him.
The bored female let out a sigh and changed her posture. She had her head propped up on her right palm, elbow securing her. With a light huff Sakura plopped onto her desk, outstretched her arms and wanted to bathe more in self-pity. Who was she kidding anyway, it was a one time occurrence. Actually, she should be glad. Uchiha Itachi was trouble meaning the very opposite of what Sakura wants to have in a partner. So she should stop this self pitying and instead send him a thank-you card for staying the hell away from her life.
Suddenly a book hit her head.
Hard.
With one eye closed, her fingers massaging the soon to - be bump , a medical book sure had some weight, she peeked up and gulped immediately.
"Sakura, if you want to sleep; go the hell to Kakashi's class!" The blond woman glared at her twenty-six students, eyes turning into a furious shade of amber "I have a tight schedule and teaching you good for nothing's here takes some of my precious time ergo; if someone wants to do something, anything other than listening or taking notes like a mad man – " The woman looked back straight at Sakura, lifted her pointer finger and spoke " GET THE HELL OUT, OR I'LL BEAT YOU WITH EVERY MEDICAL BOOK I OWN!"
She had more than two hundred. The very fat ones to that.
"I'm sorry Tsunade-sama." Sakura looked apologetically at her lecturer, the class fell silent for nobody dared to stand up against Tsunade, they haven't nicknamed her 'The devil's mother' for nothing. She walked away with an irritated huff.

The wind blew lightly against Sakura's face, her hair spread gallantly around her vision. The blue, overfilled with books, bag was starting to leave a red mark on her pale shoulder, even though she wore a blood red cardigan. She made it her mission to get home as soon as possible.
The campus was crowded with students. Only logical since it was mid- day , she tried to maneuver through the bunch of people. A few bumps and 'sorry's' here and there resulted in finally reaching the front gates of Tokyo no daigaku.
Sakura allowed herself to drift back to her thoughts; on which way should she head home? The Cherry Blossom road sounded appealing, however, the Metropolitan Avenue was much faster.
"Hey, hey who's this yummy piece of cake?" The red head's eyes glimmered with mischief.
"Who d'ya mean, Karin?" Another red head responded, though this one seemed far more boyish – with her orange cap and army slacks.
"Tayuya, are you blind or what!? I mean that exact replica of Sasuke-kun there!" A fine manicured finger pointed at the gate, Sakura still deep stuck in her inner monologue.
"Dear gods, you and your chicken butt obsession." The female rolled her eyes and stuck her hands into her side pockets. " I bet – holy shit! " Her mouth fell agape. "Isn't that Uchiha Itachi ?" The last part sounded more like frantic shrieks than actual words.
The other red head, Karin, slid her glasses further up her nose "You.. You're right! He's even more handsome than on these magazine covers!"
Sakura immediately changed into stone.
Itachi was here? Why? Did she do something? What does he want? Should she go and greet him?
Sakura looked towards the direction the two red heads had disappeared seconds ago and dismissed her idea at once. He was in the middle of a college- women crowd, there were at least twenty of them. Sakura barely managed to take a peek at his car, let alone himself. She sighed quietly, all the same deciding on taking the Metropolitan avenue. Somehow, she wanted to disappear into the confines of her own four walls as soon as possible.
Just as she was about to cross the road someone called out to her.
"Sakura!"
Her body had no intention of stopping, she knew that voice. His voice. Sakura's eyes hardened, she started crossing the road, stopping various cars in the process. Throughout the whole tumult of sounds, shouts and curses she could still hear his velvety voice.
"Sakura!"
No, she would not turn around. Her steps quickened.
"Sakura, wait!"
Hell no! Her feet started jogging.
..
"Sakura!"
..
..not. turn. around!
The female ran, her lungs were burning but she did not dare to stop, for he could be as well as standing inches from her the second her legs would slow down; so she rushed. Inside her stomach she felt the nervousness building up, her fairy palms were getting colder by second. It was only five minutes later Sakura decided to make a halt. Her body felt wobbly even nauseous, she entered unconsciously a coffee shop. The rosette sat down, her breath was still hitching, lungs slightly hurting.
Soon a waiter appeared in front of her with the intention of taking her order.
"Water, please."
After a very long stare from the long haired male, who had striking white eyes and was obviously going to serve her their goods, Sakura added nervous " Muffins! " Her cheeks flushed. " Yes. Water and muffins."
Another long stare.
"Alright, I take a tea as well! "
The air around her returned to its pleasant way, tension disappearing from both individuals. The young man emitted a calm aura and turned around, leaving Sakura to her own devices.
Waiters sure were scary these days.

Good gods, Itachi was frustrated beyond belief!
First, his father made him fly to a one-month business meeting in China, which of course prevented him from seeking Sakura out . Then after figuring out her college, arriving in front of it, waiting for two hours in the same spot; all the while surrounded by these pushy women, he saw a flash of pink. Sakura instead of acknowledging him actually ran away from his very inpatient self. His tries to stop her turned into ashes the moment she crossed her first street.
Those foolish college harpies. They incapacitated him, making a pursuit impossible. That is, until now.
Already in his black Maybach Exelero, he calmly searched the area for a pink head. It was not possible for Sakura to have gotten very far away in this short amount of time.
After checking every possible road, alley even nearly shops he still saw no pink. The car came slowly to a halt, waiting for the green lights to appear. Then, his pursuit was rewarded. There, not even eight foot away from where his car stood was Sakura, happily munching on some muffin. She was obviously on her way home; he cursed for not checking any cafes.
Itachi's brilliant mind came to two conclusions. He could either slide the window down, afterwards getting Sakura's attention by calling to her – which would end with the object of his fascination escaping - , or he would wait at her very own doorsteps.
Mind made up. Option two.
Traffic lights turning green, purpose ready he navigated throughout the streets towards the pinkette's apartment. A smirk graced his face, he could not wait to see Sakura's reaction regarding the sudden turn of events.

Enjoying the last bites of her chocolate muffin Sakura walked calmly to the front gates of her apartment complex. Now, what to do with the remaining day. A long hot bath would be a welcome change, study perhaps; she still had a few chapters to cover, or she could always meet up with friends for clubbing. Lost in her planning she left the walking part completely to her instincts, the stairs and corridors were unconsciously memorized by heart since years.
Perhaps she should decide for clubbing, after all she did buy a new cocktail dress just last weekend. The red material was made of pure silk, shimmered in the night and felt luscious under her fingers each time she would touch it. Instead of sleeves it had slightly protruded frills which would grace anyone's shoulders. The frills continued just to the mid-section, the interval between each silk wave was always decreasing. It was deep cut; a guarantee that every male, occasionally females as well, would droll at the sight of the exposed flesh. Every belly was to be turned skinny thanks to the sewed-in material serving as a belt. The lower part was made in a bauble style and because of that it allowed the pair of pockets to blend in. The dress ended halfway through the lengths of thighs. At it's the end was a likewise material belt, making sure no breeze would show what is hidden beneath it.
Sakura was humming the recent party song even before she was aware of doing so. Her hands wandered to the bag that hung over her shoulder lazily and she hoped to quickly fetch her house key. It all happened while she was still walking, in fact Sakura was very confident when it came to her steps so she closed her eyes for better concentration and a higher find the casually-thrown key rate.
She did just when she passed her neighbors doors, Sakura cringed inwardly at the loud shouts emitting from Temari's place. She pitied the woman, living with two brothers was definitely nerve-racking.
The med school student finally found her short-lost house key. She glided happily towards apartment number 12; her home.
"It's getting down, na nana na na. You better move, you better dance, nanana na lalala la la~" Screw studying! Sakura was in a dangerously adventurous mood, clubbing called for her tonight. Alright, Ino probably as well.
Sakura was halfway through unlocking her front door when she suddenly realized something.
This something being an empty fridge.
"Damn it all! Stupid. This bloody, empty, dumb electrical piece of dung! Bloody idiot! Stupid, stupid, stupid!"
Her hands swiped angrily the lock, not caring for double checking. She turned around fully intent on going to McDonald's just to let her fridge know the damn thing didn't command her life.
" Not even in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine you could change so drastically from happy go-lucky to mad. Quite a discovery."
Sakura's heart jumped, legs stopping in their tracks.
Immediately, she froze. Her grip loosened making the female drop the key. Shivers explored through her back, her senses went on highest alert. This velvety voice, she knew it. It was impossible for Sakura to forget the sound of his voice. UchihafreakinItachi's.
Oh damn it all to hell! She turned around, hoping her face wouldn't betray the inner turmoil she was currently going through. She would not give him the satisfaction of getting under her skin, again.
" Fancy meeting you here Uchiha-san." Of course, she addressed him with his surname on purpose. Sakura did want to get under his skin after all.
She saw Itachi raise a curious eyebrow at her choice of words. Good, he was slowly losing his face made- of- stone façade.
"To what do I owe the pleasure of your visit? " She commented, sarcasm dripping from every word like some kind of ugly poison.
Sakura actually saw Itachi sigh. It shocked her slightly, she did want to get under his skin but never would she have expected to actually witness real humanly reactions. It always appeared as if they were not worth his person. Funny.
The female barely noticed him taking a few steps towards her as if she was a shy animal, ready to escape any second. " Look, I probably can guess why you are so defensive about me approaching you – " His eyes were filled with guilt and regret, Sakura could not bring herself to break their eye contact. " – this late." He clearly did not mean the time of day.
Sakura finally broke their moment, looking at her feet not willing to spare him another glance. She herself was surprised, she was not supposed to let him win this easily. She meant to bombard him with her wrath, crush his skull for not contacting her an entire month. Wait, what? ..Traitorous inner thoughts! She was not supposed to feel this kind of hope for whatever there was between them. She was no softie who gets overly attached after just one tiny night of wonderful physical exertion. More like he was not supposed to bother her anymore at all, it was all a one time thing. She would have gotten over it, and now? He created a boulder of heavy rocks, crushing her escape route. She would have none of it.
"I am defensive because we were not supposed to meet up again after our one night stand." Sakura felt guilty when she heard his breath hitch slightly, she could imagine how his charcoal eyes widened. She shook her head mentally, stick to the ball girl !
" I had a couple glasses of alcohol, enjoyed myself and we created a new bed story, but that's all; a bed story."
Her emerald orbs crossed roads with obsidian ones. Sakura had made her mind up. For the whole month she was wondering about them, what they had that night back at the wedding. Problem was; there was no them nor they, to be honest Sakura would like to leave it at that. Still, these thoughts bothered her this much already. But for what? It is not like Itachi is a perfect partner to choose for maintaing a healthy relationship. Curse that. He is not even a partner to choose at all, not that he would be willing in the first place.
Hypothetically speaking if they were to have a relationship, it would not last for long and would definitely end with a huge carton of strawberry ice cream, a pile of Hollywood flicks and an even bigger pile of pieces from a broken heart. Not very inviting, now is it?
Flight or fight.
Choice made.
Sakura would send him back to where the hell he came from and hope to be left alone. No drama needed in her life nor would it ever be.
"Please, do not interpret anything more into a casual night of sex, Uchiha-san." After looking into a very much agonizing charcoal set of eyes Sakura turned around and made her way towards the furthest convenience store.
"Now if you would excuse me, I need to do some grocery shopping." She did not dare to turn behind, there was some crazy aura going on there. Sakura hoped for it to be only one of Temari's 'Gaara-I'm-So-Gonna-Kill-You-For-Your-Foul-Mouth' moods.
A very fine, masculine hand stopped the pinkette in her tracks, throwing away her hope of getting away altogether. Stupid males, they never let you have the last word.
Noise of an opening door spread through Sakura's hearing, it was however completely eradicated by the very bone chilling atmosphere she was in right now. Anything not related to the quite strong grip on her right shoulder went on deaf ears.
"I do see things a little different though, Sakura. It was anything but 'casual sex' that we had, the fact that you were not able to make it on your own legs into our hotel room was proof enough."
A sudden rush of fear and panic gushed over the whole thing that was Sakura's body. This man was just too much, just another reason for Sakura to avoid Itachi. Her train of thoughts was interrupted when there were suddenly three voices joining in.
A loud curse, a gasp and just a barely detectable hitch in breathing. Sakura turned her eyes to the root of these noises, immediately her orbs widened and she wanted to be anywhere but in her well- known corridor.
There, straight in front of their – still open – house door stood three individuals. In fact, they were very well known to Sakura, even friends she would say. On the left with her hand on the door handle stood Temari – apparently the one who cursed, in the middle her more reliable brother Kankurou – the one who gasped Sakura gathered and in the right corner of their threshold stood Gaara. Sakura knew for a fact that the read-head hardly showed any emotions, that is why his very surpised facial expression told Sakura that she was indeed in a very painfully awkward situation.
Damn it all to hell. Twice!

Sorry for any mistakes, it's like , what, 23:22 pm and my mind's not so fresh anymore.
The party song that Sakura was humming comes from Pitbull feat Ke$ha - "Timber"
You don't know it? Impossible. It's, like, everywhere; on TV, radio, internet, clubs, phones, malls. Everyfuckingwere. Not that I complain, I love it! :D
