The Death Star recovers from the recent Rebel attack, and the Master Chief fights his way through the Flood-infested High Charity, when High Charity performs an emergency Slipspace jump. Where they end up is not what anyone expected.

The UNSC Dauntless Dagger fled Reach upon its fall. In its escape, the Daggers slip space drive was damaged. This sends the Dagger and her crew right into the lap of a governmental body from another galaxy. Now, they have to do whatever they can to preserve the UNSC, and hopefully return to the Milky Way

A newly found planet named Zeridian has been found at the edge of the outer rim. Not much is known about the planet or it's people and the only contact with them is with their trade routes between certain planets. While the Republic and separatist are at war Zeridian gets pulled into the conflict causing the Terran Republic to get involved. Exactly what is this planet hiding.
