Where Am I?

Chapter 2:

Confusion

"So... What are you going to do NOW Misaki...? You're far away from home... You don't know where you are... You don't know who to trust... And you're FAR too tired to concentrate on the things that matter to you...

What are you even DOING here Misaki...? Wouldn't you like to know...? Just look in the mirror... And soon you'll know..."

The next morning, I woke up slowly and stretched my arms, legs, back and stomach muscles until I yawned loudly and pushed myself out of bed. Well, to be honest, my LEGS decided it was time to get up. (I SWEAR they have a mind of their own!) Then, there was a knock at my door. When I finally managed to drag myself over to the door and open it, the Headmaster's smiling face was all I saw.

This guy's creepy... I thought as I stared at him awkwardly. The Headmaster was wearing; a brown, loose jumper, dark brown trousers, black shoes and the most RIDICULOUS pink apron with a light brown kitten thinking of a fish...

"Good morning Misaki! I was wondering if you'd like to do some gardening with me." The Headmaster suggested. I smiled slightly and slowly nodded, then pushed him out the room so I could change.

After I'd gotten changed into; a short, black skirt, knee-high black socks, a black jacket, a white, button-up shirt, a deep red ribbon and knee-high brown boots. I slowly opened the light-brown, wooden door when I was ready and the Headmaster guided me outside to his small flower garden. There were poppies, sunflowers and all sorts of roses, red, yellow, white and pink.

"Can you please help me plant these yellow daises Misaki?" The Headmaster asked me. I nodded and grabbed a trowel out of a nearby green bucket that was full of gardening tools.

"Why are you getting Misaki to do your gardening for you? I don't think she even KNOWS hows to garden..." Zero murmured as I looked around and noticed him leaning against a tall, slender, white marble pillar.

I'll show HIM! I thought angrily.

"Oh... I never really THOUGHT of that..." The Headmaster vaguely thought aloud. Suddenly Zero gasped. "W-What is it Zero?"

"...Look behind you..."

The Headmaster slowly turned his head with fear, expecting something horrible... But as he saw... I had made everything beautiful. All the daises were perfectly in line and I had pruned the roses.

"Oh, woooow..." The Headmaster murmured as he kneeled down to look at the beautiful, yellow daises I had planted. "I didn't know you could garden." He said in surprise as he slowly got up and looked at me with astonishment. I nodded and began to water the new daises and roses. Zero gasped slightly, but walked away. I felt a little sad that Zero had left, but I didn't want to say anything.

"Um... Headmaster..." Yuki murmured as she slowly walked towards the Headmaster and I. "Oh, wow..." Yuki murmured as she stared at my work. "Did YOU do this Misaki...?" Yuki slowly asked as she stared at me with surprise. I nodded and finished watering the daises and roses.

"Yes, she did! She's done a MAGNIFICENT job, don't you THINK Yuki?" The Headmaster said with pride.

"Yes, she did..." Yuki murmured as she continued to look at my work.

A little while later, after Yuki had stopped GAWKING at the garden, I decided to go see Zero. Although I didn't know which class room he was in, I wasn't going to let that stop me.

I knocked on the first door and waited for the teacher.

"Come in." Called a voice from behind the door. I slowly opened the door and nervously walked in. "Can I HELP you?" The teacher asked me. I didn't look at him at all. All I wanted, was Zero. My light-blue eyes searched the room for white hair, but to no success. "Are you looking for someone?" The teacher asked me. I ignored him, opened the door and walked out the room.

Let's try the NEXT door. I thought as I knocked on the next door.

"Come in." The teacher called. This time the door was open, so I slowly walked in. "What can I help you with?" The teacher asked me. Again, I ignored the teacher and looked for Zero.

Not here either... I confirmed as I walked out the room.

"Strange..." I heard the teacher say aloud as I walked towards the next door.

Third time lucky. I thought as I knocked on the door.

"Come in." The teacher called. I ignored the teacher as I looked around the room.

Found ya! I thought with happiness as I ran over to Zero and sat next to him. He glared at me as I smiled at him... I guess he wasn't too happy to see me...

"What are you doing here...?" He asked me as he glared at me. His glare was a little intimidating, but it didn't really scare me. I continued to stare at him for a few seconds, then looked down at the desk and folded my hands together.

"Why did you turn up to class...?" Zero asked me when class had finished. I looked at him and then walked off down the pavement. I walked and walked until I ended up in front of a large, white building with a strange-looking moon symbol on the top of the wall. I slowly pushed the heavy wooden gate door open and gradually walked in. I slowly walked toward large, wooden double-doors and steadily pushed them open.

"Hmm?" I heard a voice mutter. The voice was faint, but sounded like a boy's voice. As I nervously pushed the door open I peeked in and saw a tall, blonde-haired boy with kind, blue eyes. He was wearing; a creamy-white and brown stripped sweater, light-brown trousers and black shoes.

Where AM I...? I thought as I looked at the boy.

"Well, hello there, my name is Hanabusa Aido... But you can call me Aido." The boy said with a sexy smile as he stood up. I blinked as I stared at Aido. "I'm the only one up at the moment, the rest of the class is in bed." Aido added as I looked at him and then decided to walk up the large, long staircase. "Uh, no! Don't go up there! Lord Kanam'e is asleep!" Aido exclaimed as he followed me up the staircase. I ignored him and turned to the right when I reached the top. As I walked down to the end of the hall way, I heard the some people waking up. One of the doors opened.

"God, what's that irresistible smell?" A boy said as he yawned and stretched. He had short black hair, a pale face, deep, blue eyes and black, silk pyjamas. "It smells good..." He added as he looked at me and licked his lips.

"Shonen, she isn't food." Aido replied as he looked at Shonen angrily.

"Not even just a bite? Not ONE...?" Shonen whined sadly.

"No." Aido replied strongly. I slowly walked down to the end of the hall and slowly opened the door.

"Hmm?" I heard a voice murmur. I looked inside and the boy from before with the brown hair and the white suit. "Oh..." The boy said as he pulled his black covers up to cover his chest. "It's you Misaki..." He added. I stood in the door way when suddenly Aido came flying through and I landed face first on the floor!

"Lord Kanam'e, I tried to stop her but she wouldn't listen! Please forgive me!" Aido exclaimed as he bowed to Kanam'e. I looked back at Aido with anger. I slowly got up and looked at Kanam'e.

"Please Aido, it's quite alright." Kanam'e replied calmly. "Now please leave." He added.

"Y-Yes Lord Kanam'e." Aido replied as he left and closed the door behind him.

"So, Misaki..." Kanam'e began. I turned to him. "How are things?" He asked me. I walked over to Kanam'e and sat on the side of his bed. Kanam'e looked at me for a few seconds. "Do you remember how to talk?" He asked me. I looked at him with a gentle stare. I shook my head. "Ok." Kanam'e said. "I'll teach you." He decided kindly.

Half an hour later, I was sitting in kanam'e's room with him and flash cards in front of me.

"Ok. This word is "A". Can you say "A"?" Kanam'e asked me. I stared at Kanam'e with an empty mind. "No?" He said as he looked down at the cards. "How about "Cat"? Can you say "Cat"?" He asked me. I continued to stare at him and deep, beautiful, brown eyes. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. "Come in." Kanam'e said as he looked at the door. The door creaked open and in came Yuki.

"Um, Kanam'e? A-Are you busy?" Yuki asked.

"No Yuki. I'm not busy. What is it you want?" Kanam'e asked Yuki.

"Um... Well I just... Wanted to see how you were... Um..." Yuki murmured as she noticed me. "Oh, how's Misaki?" She asked him.

"She's doing ok. I'm teaching her to speak." Kanam'e replied.

"Oh, that's nice." Yuki replied with a smile.

"Misaki, you can leave now." Kanam'e suggested. I took his suggestion and left. I closed the door behind me and left the building. The gates were shut and the rest of the moon dorm students were outside.

"Why is a human here?" A boy asked.

"Mmmm... So tasty looking..." Shonen said as he put his hands on my shoulders. I felt really uncomfortable...

"Hands off..." Some one said behind me. I turned my head to look at the person, and it was Kanam'e!

"Yes Lord Kanam'e." Shonen replied as he bowed and stepped out of Kanam'e's way. I looked at Kanam'e with a grateful smile and Kanam'e looked back with a gentle, kind stare. The gates suddenly swung open and there was cheering and screaming.

Oh GREAT... I thought as I groaned in my mind. Screaming fan girls... Where's a pair of ear plugs when you need them...? I thought with sorrow as I walked through the gates with Kanam'e and his class.

"Oh my god, it's AIDO!" One of the day-class girls screamed.

"Over HERE Aido!" Another girl screamed.

"Well, my lovely ladies..." Aido said softly as he laid his hands on their shoulders. "I'd love to skip class and spend time with you two BEAUTIFUL girls, but I'm afraid I must go on..." He said over-dramatically as the two girls looked at Aido dreamily.

Oh please... He's not THAT good... I thought as I looked at the girls with a "Are you SERIOUS?" face. I walked through the crowd and to the side, standing with the day-class.

"Hey, how did YOU get in there with the night-class students?!" A girl screeched at me.

"Wow, you're so lucky!" Another cried. "How'd you get in there?!" She cried again. I stood there, silent and watched the night-class walk by.

After dinner, I decided to take a walk to see the headmaster.

"Oh, Misaki!" He cried happily as I opened the door and entered his room. "I'd like to ask you a question." He said as he sat behind his desk. I walked over to him and sat in the chair in front of his desk. "I'd like you to become part of our school!" He announced. I was shocked! He wanted me to be a student here at his academy! "And don't worry about school fees! I... I'd like to become your adopted FATHER!" He cheered loudly. I gasped.

He... H-He wants me to be his DAUGHTER?! I-I-I barely even KNOW him! I thought as my mind raced. "Well? What do you say?" The headmaster asked as he smiled at me. I looked at him and turned and ran out the door. "Hey! Misaki! Please!" The headmaster yelled behind me. I kept running and running, dodging people down the hall.

"Hey, watch it!" A girl yelled at me as I bumped into her. I ignored her and ran into my bedroom. I slammed the door behind me and jumped onto my bed. I cried and cried with confusion and sadness clouding my mind as my head span and my thoughts over-whelmed me.

"Oh, POOR Misaki... If ONLY she knew why she was here and who the HELL was talking to her in her mind..." The voice in my head said mysteriously. I sniffled and sobbed as I lifted my head from my wet pillow and dried my eyes. I slowly sat up as I sniffled again and blew my nose on some tissues. I threw the tissues away and cautiously walked over to sliding mirror. I took a deep breath and peered towards the mirror. I was shocked at what I saw. A man with short black and white hair, black bird-like wings, dark brown eyes, a long, black coat and black gloves.

"Hello." The man said as he smiled and sat on a set of tall, brown, wooden drawers. "I am your guardian..." He said mysteriously.

Where am I? V.K
