She quickly replaced the floor boards and rushed to answer the pounding at the door.
"YuYan. Open up!"
She calmed herself and opened the door, almost being knocked over by the jackbooted soldiers.
"Search the house."
The captain stood staring at her as she tried not to figet. Oh please, oh please…
"There's nothing, sir"
"Very well, search the next house. I'll be along presently."
The door closed behind him. He removed his gloves and smiled at her. He looks like a wolf.
"I know what you're doing, that you're hiding one of them. Probably. Right. Under. My. Feet." His voice was so soft, like a purr.
She couldn't stop her lips from parting. No.
"I won't do anything though, if you give me what I want." His eyes roamed over her flesh.
She stepped forward and took his outstretched hand.
