It wasn't until their eyes met over the fire that she finally believed him. Golden eyes so full of rage, but deeper still she saw pain, love, and sorrow. Gran Gran once told her that the eye is a reflection of your soul. She took comfort in the fact that of all the things she'd seen in his, she hadn't seen evil.
