Chapter 18

(Ziva)

I can´t believe that all the people that he had killed, that all their bodies was gone, vanished of off the face of earth. Pore girls they will never have closure. They had now been crying for 30 minutes and were finally starting to calm down. Sam is saying over and over again that now their father couldn´t rest in peace beside their mother like he had always wanted to.

(No one´s POV)

They were both crushed about that fact, But as more time rolled by the twin started to fall asleep Sam on Ziva and Emily on Tony. When the time reached 11:55 pm they woke up both girls so they had a chance to say goodbye to the blue lady and her three children. They had all said their goodbyes with hugs lots of them. So when the time hit 12:00am all four ghosts disappeared up into a very shiny bright light of white. Right after they were gone the doors opened and they all took one look around and then they headed for the door and the freedom they soon would have.

When they all had gotten out of the house and reached the cars, they all agreed to meet back at the NCIS building. Ziva and the twins drove back to base in Abby´s car with her. While Tony, McGee and Gibbs drove back in the car they came in. Ducky and Palmer took their own car back to base.

BACK AT NCIS.

"I can´t believe that this actually happened" Said Abby as she looked around the room at her friends. They all looked tired and worn out. Ziva had a few cuts here and there and the same with Tony. Palmer looked like he had seen a ghost. Which he had so there wasn´t anything she could do about that. She could do something about Tony and Ziva´s cuts so she went to the nearest bathroom to find a first-aid-kit. When she came back she could hear the others talking about what had happened and what they were going to do with Sam and Emily.

"Why don´t you take them with you home Ziva until we can come in contact with the social services tomorrow morning?" Gibbs said to Ziva and the others agreed that, that would be the best idea. Abby cleaned Ziva´s cuts while Ducky cleaned Tony´s and when they were both done then they all agreed they should go home.

ZIVA`S APARTMENT

Up in Ziva´s apartment was Tony, Ziva and the twins. Tony had asked her if she wanted help getting the twins home and she had said yes. So here they were both girls in bed and sleeping quietly, while Tony and Ziva were in the kitchen.

"It really has been hard on those two huh?" Tony said as the opened the refrigerator and reached into it and pulled out two beers.

"Yea I can´t imagine losing my father like that. I think the worst part is that he was their last family member." Ziva answered with sadness in her voice. She took the beer that Tony had now opened for her and then took a big sip of it before she headed for the couch.

Tony sad down beside her and then he took a sip from his own beer while Ziva looked at him with intense in her eyes. They both leaned forward and placed their beers on the coffee table and then as they were leaning back into the couch Tony reached over and kissed Ziva. It started out slow and soft but it soon turned into a hard and rough kiss.

Before they could take it any further they heard small footstep so they stopped and then a small head came into view from behind the wall.

"Hey sweetie what are you doing up?" Ziva said to the small child.

"I couldn´t sleep I miss daddy and I had a nightmare." Said Sam. Ziva opened her arms for Sam. Sam ran into Ziva´s arms and hugged her.

After about an hour Ziva had finally gotten Sam to sleep again and had put her to bed beside her sister.

"What was the nightmare about?" Tony asked her with a small smile as she sat down beside him again.

"She didn´t wanted to tell me." Ziva answered back.

"Maybe it was something about her father or the ghosts?"

"Maybe, but she didn´t say." They were quite after that. None of them wanted to break the silence. It was nice to have a little peace after the days they had had. None of them noticed that the other was falling asleep.

The next morning Ziva woke up with her head on Tony shoulder and her hand on his stomach. Tony was still asleep when she looked up but when she turned her head around to see where she was she got a shock. There in front of her stood both Sam and Emily and just looked at them.

"Good morning girls." Ziva said.

A "morning" came from both the girls.

"Are you girl's hungry?" Ziva asked. Both girls nodded and then they started to run towards the kitchen. Ziva got up making sure she didn´t wake up Tony and then she made her way into the kitchen too.

When breakfast was finished and Tony was up. They all had showered and dressed, they headed into work. Tony and Ziva with a child each, in their right hand.

I know that it has been a long time since I updated, but here it was the finally chapter of shadows. I have been thinking about making a sequel, but i don´t know so please tell me if you think I should.
