Sitting there staring down at his phone, Eddie had to blink a whole lot of times to check they weren't going anywhere.

They say there are firsts for eveything and Eddie Duran is definitely someone who believes that and this was a definite first of his, he had never once been sent lyrics by a fan. He felt inspiration for the first time in forever staring down and these brilliantly crafted sentences. I knew the first thing I would have to do to thank this person for this source of inspiration and a retweet of beautiful song lyrics wouldn't go amiss.

The idea of a fan posting lyrics posted a brilliant idea inside of Eddie's brain, the light bulb definitely went off inside his head. He felt a connection with these lyrics and it was the first connection with anything he had made in months. Eddie looked over at Jake with the perfect smile on his face, almost a little smug. Jake raised his eyebrows at him whilst Chloe climbed over him heading for the toilets.

Jake looked at him questionably, urging him to speak. "Eduardo, what's turning in that mastermind brain of yours?"

Eddie gulped wondering whether this was a good idea. "I have an idea, and before you shoot it down and call me an idiot just hear me out okay?"

Jake nodded urging Eddie to continue knowing exactly what he got like when one of his ideas came along. "I think we should hold a competition, a songwriting competition".

Jake look confused, obviously not knowing what had brought this on. Eddie could see the wheels working in Jakes head willing to come to a decision. "Look man, it's a long story where this has come from. Think about this logically here we could give the person who wins a song on my new album leaving one less song to write and uncovering a new musical genius to be my new protégé"

Jake sighed defeated knowing once Eddie set his heart on something it was very unlikely he was getting out of it.

Loren opened her closet scanning through hurriedly glancing at her clock to calculate how long she had to endure before school would begin. Hearing the front door slam Loren glanced around confused wondering who would be coming over so early. Before she had any time to think about it Mel comes bouncing into the room grinning from ear to ear. Just looking at her made Loren smile, when Mel was happy, Loren was happy.

Loren glanced at her best friends seeing what amazing style Mel was going to carry off today. "Mel, what are you doing here, it's a school day remember?"

Mel laughed and then studied her best friend, obviously she hadn't seen or she wouldn't of acted this way towards Mel's impromptu visit. "I take it you haven't been on twitter this morning then"

Loren racks her brain and tries to remind herself of any events she might of missed out on that could of got Mel so wound up over. Instead she feels Mel grip a hold of her wrist and drag her over to my computer and quickly booting it up. Quickly logging onto Loren's Twitter account Mel giddily sat grinning smugly. Clicking on my account Mel pointed to my followers list and the number on it baffled Loren.

"1,00,000 followers"

Loren sat there resembling a goldfish with it's mouth wide open. Trying to form sentences at Mel seemed to be not available right now so Loren kind of just stared at her screen until Mel huffed to awaken Loren from her shock. "How is that even possible, did you put up an embarrassing video of me naked or something from when I was six".

Mel scoffed, feigning horror that her best friend would even suggest such a thing. "Like a naked toddler video would get you one million twitter followers" Mel laughed, taking the mouse from Loren's grasp and searching for the main reason of Loren's shocked state. Scrolling down to a bunch of tweets Loren's eyes nearly left their sockets when she saw the source for herself.

Loren stared at the screen before returning her eyes to the screen and then pinching herself to reassure that she wasn't dreaming. "Eddie Duran tweeted me" Loren screamed, obviously not caring about the neighbours next door going into a full scale breakdown in her bedroom.

Eddie Duran has tweeted my name, Loren thought to herself. The amount of times she said it in her head it still refused to sink in, Why would he do that?

Sitting up in his regular spot of grass and mud up in Mulholland, Eddie wondered to himself how these few words had got to him so bad and what he was going to do about it. Opening up twitter for around the millionth time today he decided to compose something.

RealEddieDuran: I have decided to hold a song writing contest, you have to write your own song and sing it and then send us the demo, then there will be a selection of a top 25 with an overall prize of your song being on my new album, good luck.

Mel made her way back to Loren who was still hyperventilating over the sheer amount of people asking her about Eddie, laughing to herself at how crazy things have gotten she made her way over to Loren. "Loren you might want to see this" throwing Loren's phone towards her.

Loren sat there and re-read and re-read Eddie's latest tweet about the song writing contest, and couldn't believe it, she let the thought rest in the back of her mind that maybe, just maybe she had inspired Eddie Duran to hold a songwriting contest, and maybe she was going to enter
