Pacing back and forth in her bedroom, it was fair to say Loren was freaking out. Tonight was it, and by it I mean the contest. Tonight Loren would not only meet Eddie but have to sing, that thought alone made her go a little bit crazy. Having had stage fright since she was young, Loren knew that this was her big chance, but she knew how easily she could blow it and embarrass herself in front of loads of people.

Hearing Loren pacing in her room from the kitchen Nora popped her head into Loren's room to see what all the fuss was about. "Hey Lo, you ready for tonight, there's not going to be any fainting is there?

"Mom, don't make me blush, I don't want to mess this up" Loren replied biting her nails and leaning off the edge of her bed.

Nora made her way towards Loren, sitting down next to her and giving her a reassuring tap on the shoulder. "You know everything's going to be fine tonight Lo, you're going to smash it"

Loren looked at her mom uncertain, every time she would tell herself it was going to be fine, she felt more and more nervous about screwing it up.

"Have you spoken to Mel?" Nora asked.

"Yeah" Loren sighed. "She said the same thing as you".

"Exactly" Nora exclaimed. "We all know how amazing you are going to be tonight, except for you".

"I just, I've never really had much self confidence mom, maybe I just shouldn't go tonight" Loren said, ducking her head down and staring at the floor.

Nora sighed. "Loren, you know if you don't go tonight then you'll regret it for the rest of your life"

"I just don't want to go up there and make a fool out of myself" Loren whispered.

"But what if you're great, and they love you and want you to win Lo" Nora argued.

Loren laughed to herself. "Why are you always right Mom".

"That's what Mom's are for sweetie" Nora said, wrapping her arms around Loren for a reassuring hug.

Eddie flicked on the record currently on Max's record player and sat on the sofa next to his father. "Are you excited for tonight, son?" Max questioned.

"Yeah" Eddie replied. "I'm excited to see the young new talent we have to sure"

Max snickered besides Eddie. "Yeah" he laughed. "I'm sure" he muttered under his breath.

Eddie raised his eyebrow at his father questionably. "What that supposed to mean pop?" He asked.

"Girls, Amazing talent, shall I go on" Max laughed at Eddie's obliviousness.

Eddie sighed. "You know I just got out of a messy relationship"

"Yeah, the perfect distraction" Max laughed.

"You know I'm not like that" Eddie replied.

The fact of helping someone to reach their dreams was an exciting prospect to Eddie, it was a perfect thing to distract himself after the whole drama with Chloe. Sucking it up and keeping on going was in the Duran nature and I wasn't going to let anything stop me, not even Chloe from doing this.

Swarming around MK were some of the most important people, from Paparazzi to Label Execs. Everyone was trying to get a sight of the next big thing. Taking to the stage was Max to welcome everyone, even if he didn't like the kinds of people in his bar tonight, looking for a story

"I'd like to thank everyone for coming out tonight to support our contestants" Max introduced, Eddie took a stand next to him addressing the audience. "I would also like to thank everyone for coming down tonight, and am very excited to hear everyone sing, thanks and have a good night."

Watching every contestant on stage, Eddie thought they were okay, just nothing special. A lot of people were nervous and messing up lines and some people it was painfully obvious that they had gone into a recording booth and changed their voices in their entries because some of them were terrible. Finally Max introduced the final contestant and Eddie couldn't help but be mesmerized by her. She looked nervous with a guitar in hand and a cautious step but she was different to everyone else.

Eddie like everyone else in the room, became completely silent as soon as she began singing. The girl was clearly nervous but her raw ability and good lyrics made up for it. She sang the song we had been tweeting about for months and Eddie couldn't help but be captured by her like everyone else in the room. Once she'd stopped singing she went over to her family for congratulations and the sheer smile on her face and her happiness showed me she wanted it like nobody else had all night. I knew just looking at her in that moment, she was the winner.

Loren couldn't believe she had won, she couldn't believe she had got on stage and sung never mind won the whole competition. She was currently backstage very nervously waiting to meet Eddie for real and not a five second look or conversation.

Entering the room, Eddie walked up to Loren with a big smile and congratulations giving her a hug, as soon as he got towards her and was hugging her he froze, feeling it rush back to him.

Loren wasn't just anyone and that's why Eddie had thought she was familiar.

Eddie quickly realized that Loren was the girl in his dream from the plane, and that scared him into shock.
