I wouldn't have made it this far if it wasn't for every single one of you.

But this isn't goodbye. Because I'll be back, and I hope you will be too. Maybe it's for another fanfiction or maybe...it's for this one's sequel.

Oh yes. There will be a sequel. I won't be out for a couple of weeks, but I'll post an author's note in a chapter on this fanfiction for when it's out.

So thank you.

This is Silver, signing off.

March 1st, 1712

"Jack you're being so slow!" Emma complained.

"I can't find my skates, give me a second," Jack said, looking under his bed.

Emma sighed, marched over to the closet, flung the door open and found his skates in seconds.

"Oh." Jack said. "Thanks." He grinned, and took them from her hands.

"Here," Emma threw a short cropped deer skin vest to Jack, which he put on over his loose white shirt. He wore a pair of very familiar brown pants.

They ran downstairs to the back door, Emma opened it eagerly, her skates in her hand.

"Are you sure it's not too cold out?" Mary asked, emerging from the kitchen.

"We're fine," Emma said, trying not to whine.

"I know you're fine, Emma, you're wearing a layered dress," Mary grabbed something off the back of a chair and draped it around Jack's shoulders. It was a dark deer skin cloak that tied loosely around his neck.

Jack swung his skates over his shoulder as Emma eagerly pulled him out the door.

"Be careful," Mary said sweetly.

Jack looked back and laughed as Emma tugged on his arm again. "We will." Emma giggled as she finally got Jack to walk outside and towards the pond they could see from the door.

"I can't watch this," Jack said, looking away.

"What do you mean?" Bunny asked, turning back to Jack.

Jack put on his skates, then helped Emma pull on hers. He led her out onto the lake, holding her hands at he skated backwards. Emma was wobbling, but laughing regardless.

"Whoa, whoa," Jack smiled. "Slow down." He said as she started getting bolder and tried to skate faster.

Jack skated backwards, pulling Emma along with him as they laughed. "Ready?" Jack asked. Emma nodded, and Jack let go of her.

She staked back herself, grinning at the accomplishment.

"Woo!" Jack cheered. He skated quickly forwards and jumped, spinning once in the air, then glided backwards.

Emma's eyes widened in delight. "Teach me that!"

Jack gave her a hesitant smile. "How about just the jump?"

She nodded eagerly.

Jack skated to the far side of the lake and spun around to face Emma who was on the other side.

"Start building up speed," Jack said.

Emma started skating forwards, slowly building speed.

"When you get close to the middle, jump with one foot forwards!" Jack said, eyes bright.

Emma grinned and leapt forwards, landing gracefully on two feet. "Yes!" She cheered.

Jack start to skate towards her, a grin on his face. "Great, okay now-" He froze at the sound of cracking ice. They both looked down as Emma's feet to see cracks in the ice, spiderwebing out from her feet.

Tooth gasped, hands over her mouth. "Oh no!" She turned to Jack.

"Jack, does-"

"I think I figured out why didn't retain my memories," Jack said sadly.

North raise an eyebrow. "Jack…?"

Jack immediately squat down, and undid his skates. Emma's breathing started to pick up as she started to panic. Jack set his skates to the side, trying to stay calm for Emma's sake. He reached out to her, but didn't move any closer in fear of cracking the ice more.

"It's okay, it's okay," He said soothingly. "Don't look down," His eyes flickered to the cracks before back to Emma. "Just look at me." He motioned to himself, trying to keep eye contact with his sister.

"Jack," Emma gasped out. "I'm scared." She glanced down, just in time to see more cracks branch out.

"I - I know, I know," Jack said, mentally cursing himself for stuttering. He slowly stood up, and the ice beneath himself started to crack. He glanced down, panic rising in his stomach. "But you're gonna be alright," What do I say! "You're not gonna fall in," He said playfully, glancing down at the slowly cracking ice again.

"Uh," He mumbled, before an idea popped in his head and his eye slightly brightened. "We're gonna have a little fun instead," He said as cheerfully as he could.

"No we're not!" Emma whined.

"Would I trick you?" Jack said slyly.

"Yes!" Emma cried out. "You always play tricks!"

While she was distracted Jack took a step closer to her. He laughed, "Alright, well not this time." He took a breath. "I promise. I promise, you're gonna be… you're gonna be fine."

Emma looked doubtful.

"You have to believe in me," Jack nodded to her.

The four's hearts broke.

Emma's doubt faded and she let out a breath she didn't know she had been holding in.

"You wanna play a game?" Jack said hopefully. "We're gonna play hopscotch," He glanced at the ice a couple of times. "Like we play everyday."

Emma smiled a bit.

Jack lifted a foot. "It's as easy as one…" he stepped down to the right; the ice cracked a bit under his foot and he flinched, quickly looking up at Emma, deciding to try and distract her again.

He balanced on that one foot and flailed his arms a bit, pretending to lose his balance. "Whoa!"

Emma laughed, momentarily forgetting about her fear.

He put down his next foot. "Two…"

Emma was smiling.

"Three!" He jumped, landing on safer ice. "Alright," he said, keeping his eyes on Emma as he crouched down and grabbed for a the hooked stick that was sitting on the ice.

Sandy guestered, 'Isn't that your staff?'

Jack ignored him and said. "I think the reason I forgot everything…"

Jack picked up the stick, holding it out to Emma. "Now it's your turn."

Emma looked down, her face full of worry.

"One…" Jack said as she moved forward a bit, but the ice cracked more under her step.

"That's it, that's it." Jack said reassuringly. "Two…"

Emma's next step caused a huge crack and she gasped, looking up at Jack, her fear returning.

"Three!" Jack said, thrusting the stick forward so it wrapped around Emma's waist.

He pulled her towards himself and then flung her onto safer ice, accidently sliding himself towards the weaker ice.

The Guardians watched intently, listening to their Jack as well.

"...is because…"

Jack landed on his rear, but he quickly looked up to check on Emma. She pulled herself up, and smiled widely at Jack who was standing up. Jack gasped and laughed gratefully, his eyes wide. It worked!

He went to take a step towards Emma, still grinning.

"...I died."

The ice broke, Jack gasped.

"Jack!" Emma screamed, reaching out.

And he fell through.

The End
