I do not own Aliens.

I've had a crush on Michael Biehn just about forever. And Sigourney Weaver is a badass goddess.

The Survivors of LV-426

Stir-Crazy

Everything she had said had been true.

He hadn't doubted it from the get-go.

Hadn't needed to study the information Gorman provided them, review the report.

He had done it because it was protocol.

But he hadn't need to.

One look in her eyes told you she wasn't crazy.

That something bad happened, she had encountered something that should have killed her like it had killed all the others.

But she had beat its ass just like she had said she had.

Even if there was no evidence to prove it.

Would do it again if she had to.

He just figured she wouldn't have to.

Colonial Marines. A whole squad of them.

They had this.

Shit.

They had not.

"Ease down."

They're not back in that armoured tank on that godforsaken planet . . .

"Hey, ease down."

. . . being hunted by monstrous Xenomorphs.

"Come on."

But she hears Hick's voice in her head all the same.

"Ease down."

And vows to remain calm . . .

"Please. Please let me see my friends."

. . . this time.

It's a good thing they keep him drugged for the pain.

Because he is about to crawl out of his skin with waiting.

They are safe.

He. Has. Been. Told. So.

But he needs to see them.

Ripley.

Newt.

And he needs to get out of this room.

And he needs to get this bandage off his goddamn face.

But if he goes rogue, goes south, tears the whole thing down, they'll tranq him in the ass, tie him down, and cart him off to lockup, detention.

Which is beginning to feel really similar to here.

And then he really won't get to see them.

And he really would go . . .

"Would you like something for the pain?"

"Yes. Thanks."

. . . absolutely crazy.

She has to wait another day, feels her skin crawl and itch with waiting.

She has been told they are fine, she has been told they are safe.

Hicks.

Newt.

But they can say anything they like.

That's their job.

But she won't know until she sees it for herself.

She won't know until she sees.

I love, love, love the way Hicks interacted with her, with most of them, in the movie.

He'd talk rather than shout, gently restrain rather than strong-arm.

He's so awesome. :)
