On another, another note, anybody else think it's scary that Tom is learning some advanced spells at such at young age...it gives me the shivers.

Told in Drabbles of at Least 100 words, Max 1000 words.

Tom was getting better and better with his magic. He was even beating the tutor at some of the spells and he was very pleased with his improvement. He was sitting outside eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich while reading.

"Tom," the woman called out. "Mr. Abraham is here."

Tom closed his book and went inside. He wiped his shoes on the outside rug and shut the back door. Hermione gave him a wet cloth to wipe his hands off and he did so thoroughly.

Tom set his book on the counter as he saw the tutor come forward.

"Ah Tom m' boy. How are you this afternoon?"

"Very well Mr. Abraham."

"Excellent. Shall we go upstairs to begin?"

Tom eagerly nodded his head. "Yes."

Hermione wished him luck and they trudged upstairs to the library.

"Alright Tom let's see some of the new spells I introduced you last time shall we? And begin."

Tom pulled out his wand started with simple spells. The tutor was praising him and giving him some helpful tips with the techniques. They did this for about an hour before Hermione came up, gave them tea, and went back downstairs to prepare dinner.

"All right Tom, since you have been doing so well, I'll let you try any advanced spell. Do you have one in mind you would like to try?"

Tom paused and thought for moment. Any advanced spell he could try. He had to think for there were several he would love to try out. Which one was the true question? He finally had one in mind and he smiled at the thought of finally using such a spell. He grabbed his wand tightly, pointed it without hesitating at the tutor, and spoke the spell.

Hermione was just untying her apron and about to take it off when she heard harsh rapid footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Ah oh uh Mr. Abraham, is something wrong, did something happen," she said in a rush at seeing his face. His pale skin was all blotchy and veins were showing from his neck. He was sweating and breathing harshly. His clothes were rumpled and there was blood coming from his lips as if he had been biting them.

Hermione went over to give him a towel but he pushed her away.

"Mrs. Weasley...I shall not be coming back I'm afraid. His lessons are ending today."

Hermione was shocked and voiced it. "What! Mr. Abraham, we still have at least a few more weeks with you. I paid..."

The tutor waved her off. "No need Mrs. Weasley. I'll pay you back. I...I...I," he stumbled over his words, "I just have to get out of here."

"But I don't understand. Is Tom alright?' She was about to rush upstairs but he gripped her arm tightly.

"Mrs. Weasley, I would suggest some advice." The tutor spoke in but a whisper as if afraid someone would hear him. "Do not go up there with that...that...child," he spat the word. "That thing needs medication."

Hermione was absolutely stunned at the words coming from the tutor's mouth. He then scurried out the door and apparated out.

Hermione rushed up stairs and swung the library door open. Tom was staring out the window and turned when she came in.

Tom actually smiled at her, as if his lesson was a complete success.

"Tom," she hesitated, "How was the lesson? Is everything okay?"

"Oh yes," he simply said. "It went perfect. Would you like to see?"

Being cautious of his behavior, Hermione sat down on the couch and gestured for him to show her what he learned. She was still confused on why the tutor had left so sudden. She was indeed impressed as he did a few transfigures and levitations. She even clapped when he slowly levitated her up from the couch and set her back down gently.

"Marvelous," she said laughing. She then stopped and bit her lip. She needed to know what had happened. "Um Tom."

"Hmm," he said as he placed his wand back in its case.

"The tutor...did something happen with him? He was in quite a rush to leave."

Tom looked at her and smiled brightly. "Yes. We were just finishing the lesson when he affirmed I could do any advanced spell that I wished to perform." He walked up to the woman and leaned against the cushions looking into her eyes.

Hermione inquired, "Oh and what spell did you choose?" Tom paused for but a moment and then walked back to her with a book in his hand. He opened it up as he set the textbook onto her lap. His small finger trailed down the list, then stopped, and leaned over to show which one it was.

"It went quite well," Tom said happily. "I did really well."

Hermione smiled at him, glad that he was excited at the prospect of performing such an advanced spell with success. However as she saw the spell her smile slowly turned to a frown and her eyes widening.

Tom, seeing her expression frowned as well. Feeling like he needed to explain himself he said, "The tutor said any spell. You said I could read whatever I wanted in the library."

Hermione nodded. "Yes read but not practice. Tom, are you sure this is the one you performed on the tutor?"

Tom nodded.

'But why,' she pondered, 'why didn't I hear him screaming.'

Tom answered aloud, "Because I placed a silencing charm on the room."

Hermione gasped quietly at what he said. 'Did he just...just read my mind?' Hermione furrowed her brows as she looked down at the book, looked down at the spell Tom said he had performed on the tutor.

Cruciatus Curse.
