Roland woke the next day got dressed. Roland wore blue jeans, a black shirt, a blue jacket with dragon designs on it and his shoes were grey and black. He grabbed his pokemons pokeballs and headed for someplace to train while saphira was still sleeping. Roland brought out Drake and then Clair. "Okay guys training time Drake you will be on my side while-" Roland was enterupted by Saphira walking up.
"morning sleepy head." Roland said. "morning what are you doing?" she asked. "I'm about to train Drake."
"well here let me help you and don't worry I'll take it easy." Roland nodded and Saphira sent out her grotle. "Drake use tackle!" Drake ran and tackled the grotle but like for Clair it didn't budge. "grotle use iron tail!"
"Drake dodge it!" Drake jumped back as the grotle spun around. Drake howled into the sky. "That's the move howl!" Saphira said excitedly.
"So that boost his attack, Drake use tackle again!" Drake did so with new strength and Saphira's grotle stumbled to the right a little. "grotle use vine whip!" Drake tried to dodge the vines but to no avail. Drake was hit by three of the vines and was knocked down.
Drake slowly got up and stood his ground. He growled "Drake use howl and then tackle again." Drake howled again and tackled grotle from the front making grotle stand on his hind legs. When grotle land back on all fours he had swirled eyes and slid down on to his belly. "nice job Drake take a good rest."
Roland petted Drakes as he went over to lay in the shade. Clair walked over to Drake and layed next to him licking some of his wounds. Drake nuzzeled her. "Awww look at that, that's so cute." Saphira said watching them before sending out mothim.
Roland brought out he's pokedex. "Mothim, the moth Pokemon, it loves the honey of flowers and steals honey collected by combee." Roland sent out phoenix. "you get first attack Saphira." she nodded "mothim use gust!"
Mothim started to flap its wings and a strong gust of wing blew at phoenix and nocked him on her side. "phoenix you ok?" phoenix got up and stomped his hoof. "okay phoenix use tackle." only for it to be dodged. "Mothim use psy beam!"
"phoenix dodge!" phoenix tried to dodge but to no avail the beam hit phoenix on her left side. Phoenix landed on his side again fainted. "phoenix return take a good deserved rest." Clair looked up and perked her ears.
She nuzzles drake and drake nuzzled back. clair ran up to Roland. "eevee!" Clair pawed at Roland's leg. "haha okay Clair its your turn."
she wagged her tail and ran infront of him. "Clair use tail whip and tackle!" Clair did so and lowered the mothim's defense and tackled it out of the sky. Mothim got back into the air "use bug bite mothim!" mothim flew up to Clair but Clair anticipated this and jumped to the side and used tackle again.
Saphira's mothim got up again. "mothim use poison powder!" Roland got worried if Clair got poisoned how could he get her to a Pokemon center when she fainted. Saphira must have saw the worry on his face. "Don't worry Roland I have antidotes we are covered."
Roland let out a sigh of relief "Clair use tackle one more time!" Clair took a daring move and jumped through the poison powder to tackle her training partner and it worked the mothim didn't see it coming. When Clair landed she could barely stand because of the poison the last thing she saw was Roland running up to her.
-the next day-
When Clair had finally woken drake was the first to see her. He nuzzles her and licked the top of her head. "are you okay Clair you had me and everyone else worried that wasn't a smart thing to do." Clair rolled her eyes. She could tell if he was her mate in the future he would be very protective towards her and their pups, if they had them.
"I'm fine Drake." she nuzzles him and he nuzzles back. "what about your wounds?" "there healed Clair thanks to saphira." Clair smiled "where's phoenix we haven't really gotten to know him since yesterday."
Drake nodded "yeah he's outside." "then lets go talk to him then." Clair got up and started to walk she wobbled a little bit only because of her legs being asleep. Drake stepped next to her "here lean on me till you can walk better." Clair gave him a look that said really.
"Drake ill be fine my legs are just asleep." Clair could tell that it hit Drake right in the heart. She leaned against him she didn't mean to hurt his feelings. "I'm sorry I know your just trying to care for me just there are something's I can do myself okay." she licked his cheek and that seemed to bring his spirits up.
"okay." is all he said waging his tail and that made Clair happy. As they headed out side the tent they saw phoenix munching on some grass. "hey phoenix how are you?" Clair asked.
Phoenix looked up "I'm fine Clair what about you?" "I'm fine as well phoenix like Drake said I did a stupid thing." phoenix laughed a little. "Clair I would have done the same thing." then all three of them started to laugh.
"Clair your awake!" Clair tail wagged and so did Drake. They both knew their trainers voice and ran to him jumping and knocking him over and licking his face. "hahahaha Clair Drake stop that tickles hahahaha." Clair stopped and nuzzles Drake.
When Roland got up as phoenix joined him and his fellow team mates. "good news guys we are almost to solaceon town the way to celestic town was blocked off by some people in red cloaks and wouldn't let us pass so we had to deviate from our planed route." Clair nodded and jumped onto her trainers shoulder while he returned phoenix and Drake and waited for Saphira to get ready and when she was they where off. A few hours later the Group arrived at solaceon town to find a commotion going on. The towns people were crowding infront of a line of red cloaked people.
"leave the ruins alone there a historic site!" There was a bigger man or women in a red cloak behind the line of others spoke "There is a item deep inside the ruins we need for the chosen one." "Who cares stop ruining the ruins!" Roland looked at saphira "We should help them." Saphira nodded at this the trio walked up to the line of strangers.
Clair jumped down from Roland's shoulder and growled. "How about a battle if I defeat you you leave the ruins alone." the man laughed Roland could tell it was a man by his laughter. "And what would I get if I win." Roland thought for a minute he didn't have anything to give this man "Then you continue with what your doing."
The man laughed even more "fine I accept your challenge." the cloaked people infront of the man parted to let him through. The towns folk moved back to give the two trainers space. Saphira ran up to Roland "are you sure this is wise we don't know how strong he is." Roland nodded "it was the only thing I could think of."
"Are you two done talking or what." Roland turned to the man "come on Clair your first." Clair nodded and ran to her spot. "go skarmory!" when skarmory came out of its pokeball it immediately took flight.
Roland quickly got his pokedex out to get its entry. "skarmory, the armor bird Pokemon, despite being clad entirely in iron-hard armor, it flies at speeds over 180 mph."
