Before either of the trainers could call a move a voice stopped them. "don't battle him, not to be offensive man but he's just to strong for you right now, how about me." every one looked behind Roland and when Roland turned around he couldn't believe who he saw "Wes!" there infront of Roland was his cousin Wes.

He wore black sneakers, black skinny jeans a black shirt. He wore a blue jacket that split near the end of it on it had this weird design. On his left arm was a machine that covered all of his arm and shoulder. He had blue eyes blonde hair and was the same height as Roland. He wore goggles as well.

Wes had his two prized Pokemon by his side an espeon and umbreon. Clair thought she was in Pokemon heaven. Even tho she had feeling for Drake she would prefer to have pups with one of Wes's eons but that would come up to who ever won in a battle or she could take them both as a mate she wasn't sure yet. The big man in the cloak took a step back and returned his skarmory. Wes saw this "what's the problem you don't think I'm to strong do you."

the man keep taking steps back till a smaller person in a red cloak ran up and had a women's voice. "we have the item sir we need to go." the man nodded "well Wes I must be on my way." There was a flash of light and all of the strange people had vanished instantly. "coward."

is all the Roland's cousin said before turning back around to his motorcycle or what seems like one. "Wes wait when did you arrive in sinnoh?" Wes turned around "your on your journey right?" Roland nodded his head. "ill tell you if you let me travel with you."

Roland's eyes shone bright and apparently Clair wanted Wes to come along as well because when roland looked down at her she was pawing at his leg and had a look that said please. "yeah sure you can come along." Clair ran in circles with joy and ran up to Wes and jumped into his arms. Wes laughed and petted Clair who purred affectionately. "hello there little eevee what's its name Roland?"

Roland walked up and petted Wes's umbreon and espeon. These two didn't usually let anyone pet them but their trainers family was a exception since they did play with Roland when he was younger. "Her name is Clair." Clair purred more as she was petted. "that's a nice name for her."

Clair jumped down from Wes's arms and sniffed the two eons. "hello there little one." the umbreon said looking down at Clair. Clair blushed a little "hello my names Clair." "Nice to meet you Clair I'm well uh umbreon my trainer didn't really give me a name so you can call me Rick and this is my brother espeon hey bro meet Clair."
Espeon flicked his split tail at his brother and turned to Clair "Hi Clair." he turned back to what he was looking at. Rick gave him a glare and returned to talking to Clair. "He will warm up to you Clair." She nodded and wagged her tail.

"So how long have you been with your trainer?" Rick asked and Clair could only blush and giggle. Drake came out of his pokeball to see what was going on and saw the umbreon talking to Clair. Drake could most definitely tell Clair was blushing and wasn't to happy knowing it wasn't him making her blush instead of that umbreon. Drake walked over and sat next to Clair and spoke "Hello Clair" he looked at the umbreon "and you must be."
Clair looked at Drake "Drake this is Rick and his brother." Rick looked at the poochyena. "well this is the first time I've seen a shiny Pokemon, I'm Rick nice to meet you Drake." Drake nodded "like wise." while the Pokemon got to know each other Roland and Wes caught up on the years passed when saphira interrupted them.

"look I know you guys want to catch up but we need to get some supplys and go while we still have some sun left." The trio agreed and headed for the pokemart. By the time they got done shopping it was about dark. "we should lodge at the Pokemon center for the night." Wes suggested.

Saphira and Roland agreed and headed for the Pokemon center. When they entered the trio was greeted by nurse joy "Hello and well come to the Pokemon center." "Hi nurse joy we need three roo-" Roland was interrupted by Wes "he means two." nurse joy smiled "sure just swipe your trainer cards and the rooms are to your left." Roland and saphira did so.

When Roland and Wes got to their room Wes immediately closed and locked the door. "Roland there's something I need to talk to you about." Roland looked at his cousin confused "what is it Wes ?" "Look that guy with the skarmory he is apart of a group called team snagem and they used to use shadow pokemon and I think they still do but it looks like they don't work alone anymore the work for a guy who calls himself the choose one and I came to stop them."

Roland took his time comprehending what his cousin told him "So what are shadow pokemon?" Roland asked.
"Shadow pokemon are pokemon that had their hearts closed they have no emotion except anger and want to battle anything." roland gasped "That's cruel! Wes nodded. "I agree for now lets get some rest well train tomarrow." roland agreed and they went to sleep

The next morning

Roland woke up the next morning got dressed and gathered his stuff. He noticed that Wes was already gone. When Roland walked into the cafeteria he saw his cousin and saphira eating breakfast along with their pokemon. Roland acquired his and his pokemons breakfast and sat across from Wes. They ate in silence for awhile till Wes spoke.

"so you started your journey with a eevee." Roland nodded "yep I had a choice of the starters and a extra which was Clair." Clair had finish eating and heard her name called. She jumped onto Roland's lap and curled up as her trainer petted her. Wes nodded "That was a good choice."

The trio finished their breakfast and returned their Pokemon and Clair jumped into Roland's arms purring. "So where are we heading now." Wes asked in curiosity. Roland looked at the map on the wall "Well we heading to oreburgh city for my first gym battle but right now its to harthome city." "Alright then lets get going no time to waist is there."

Wes headed out the door with Roland and saphira behind him. "Wes hold on what about training?" Wes turned around "We will train on our way there so come on." Wes's eons where waging their tails waiting. About around noon the trio stopped by the sound of Roland's stomach growling. Saphira laughed "Looks like some ones hungry-" She was interrupted by her own stomach growling "Ok your not the only one Roland.

"Wes smiled "I'll get started on lunch." As Wes made lunch and Roland and saphira played with the Pokemon they where not aware of the little female riolu watching them.
