I can't believe you guys like this... now I feel like a troll :P

Jason spit out water. "Piper?" He tilted his head, reaching out towards Annabeth. Her form flickered, as though she were on a television.

Percy shook his head, reaching out his hand, only for it to go right through Annabeth's image. "What?" He questioned, right as a crack of lightning roared across the sky.

He instinctively reached towards his legs to pull out Riptide, but he didn't have any pockets. Riptide would reappear eventually, it always did, but he felt threatened for some reason as a storm began, covering the sky in rain clouds and lightning.

"Jason, cut it out." He snapped, only to receive an innocent shrug from his companion.

"Crap." Jason pulled out Juno's Gladius in an instant, as soon as upbeat gameshow music appeared to be replacing the thunder in the sky.

The clouds parted to reveal a please god riding down on winged sandals.

Hermes.

Random applause boomed out of nowhere, then quieted when he began to speak in a suave voice.

"Hello gods and goddesses, and welcome back to The Hero Games! I'm your host, Hermes, and to kick of the premiere we have our first contestants live!"

More crazy applause.

"Please welcome, Olympus's heroes, Perseus Jackson and Jason Grace!"

Thunderous applause, cheering- was that Aphrodite's fangirl scream?

A pen materialized in Percy's hand, and he quickly unsheathed Riptide. "What's going on, Hermes?" He asked, trying to stay calm.

Hermes tossed him the microphone, still smiling a toothy grin. "Let's introduce our contestants. Up first, Percy! What do you have to say to all the gods and goddesses cheering for you back home at Olympus?"

"Get me the heck out of here." He looked around to realize all the mortals had disappeared. And gates had circled them in the water.

Hermes just chuckled. "How about it, folks? Up next is Ja-"

Jason flew up to Hermes, grabbing the collar of his shirt. "Tell us what's going on, Hermes." He looked serious and intense, with his sword pointed at Hermes' neck.

Hermes used one arm to slightly push the sword away, and the other one to push Jason off him, though it took effort. "Calm...down." He panted.

Percy rode over on a current of water, waiting for a reply.

Hermes caught his breath, then returned his smile. "We'll be right back after this commercial break!"

Yep. An entire year and that's what you get. Teehee! *runs away*
