Note: The mission detailed in this chapter is a Sonic Free Riders-based twin mission; eleven of the twelve players can affect the game pot, and all twelve earn fifty personal Coins per collected Ring (at the end, but in one case that applies to the entire race, due to character choice).

Episode 1, Part 4: Bonus on Mobius

Day two of The Mole started rather uneventful. Basically the players were just milling around. None of them knew that a unique mission was being planned, though Kionna had switched her shoes from the blue non-platform seven inch stilettos she had started in for a pair of ballet flats in anticipation of a mission that would involve a lot of jumping and movement. Though maybe pain from wearing the extreme heels caught up to her and she switched out to relieve herself of it. Didn't cause any issues during the previous day's missions, especially with the tricks she pulled off in the first one.

Anywho, the twelve players were just sitting down when Jet suddenly appeared out of thin air. Scared Azalea out of her wits.

"Don't scare me like that!" Azalea yelled at Jet.

"Well, you better get used to it, 'cause i'll be randomly popping in a lot over the course of the game. I've got 192 waiting where the next mission takes place. Everyone, on me, and i don't mean by way of pileup. I've had that happen to me too many times to count, and my Chaos Control issues didn't help at all with that." Sure enough, everyone but Peach immediately assumed positions around Jet. They mainly had their hands on his shoulders, but Iggy and Lubba were touching Jet's knees, Gary was on Jet's shoulder as he didn't have arms, and Toadette was on Boshi's back. That was when Peach decided to be a doof and jumped on top of the group resulting in a pileup. Iggy was lucky to end up on the very top; Jet, not so much as he was stuck on the very bottom.

"Peach, i said no pileups!" Jet yelled at the blonde who was on his back.

"Sorry, couldn't help myself." Once everyone was off and back in position, Peach decided to mess with Jet some more. Two seconds before Jet activated Instant Transmission Peach yelled out a Pokemon name, and Jet fell for it completely.

"SQUIRTLE!"

"WHERE?" While looking all over the place Instant Transmission activated, and they missed the intended mark by a couple dimensions thanks to Peach's prank move. Instead of the aforementioned 192, the Instant Transmission warped the group to 296's location. Scared 322, who superkicked Peach for causing the miss. This time it was Jet's turn to mess with Peach; she had lost her hold upon taking the superkick, and Jet jumped on the chance to warp away without her, unaware that Rochelle had warped herself in just as the group vanished. Peach would end up at the intended location, as 487 warped her out of the XQ Side Dimension she had caused Jet to accidentally warp to with the Squirtle bit while Rochelle told off 322 in the confusion for the superkick.

"Okay, now that we've FINALLY made it to the intended location thanks to Peach being a goofball, we can finally get this special twin mission underway."

"Twin mission?" Helen asked.

"And who stepped on a duck?" Wario added, waving his hand in front of his face. Azalea ended up tearing off for a bathroom, as 487 and Peach spawning out of thin air literally scared the poop out of her. Especially as she almost took 322's superkick in the XQ Side Dimension. This ended up delaying the twin mission another two hours, and they ended up losing a third due to lunch. By the time they FINALLY got the chance to get the twin mission off without any more interruptions they had lost Jet for a couple MORE hours as an auto race was on.

'Peach is DEFINITELY gonna get it now. Thanks to her being a goofball this first episode's bound to go three days instead of the usual two.' Kionna thought, glaring at the blonde princess. Once Jet finally returned it was already eight P.M.; the race had been red-flagged for a stretch due to rain, and it took three green-white-checker attempts to finish.

"DANG, eight o'clock ALREADY?! Good thing the producers decided to delay the first quiz until tomorrow. Okay, everyone, now that we FINALLY have a chance to get this twin mission out of the way," only Kionna caught the glare Jet gave Peach for causing the major delay, "let me tell you what we're doing. This is a virtual reality EX World Grand Prix race, and Kionna took the liberty to assign herself and ten others their racers."

"CPU racer?" Azalea asked.

"Nope. Since Peach started all this delay Kionna's decided to let me use my Mobian form as the twelfth entrant in the blonde's place. Main mission is to see who can reach the line before me. Two thousand Coins will be added to the pot for each racer who beats me to the line, with another eight thousand if i end up dead last, and each racer also gets fifty personal Coins for each Ring they have on them at the finish in all but Kionna's case; with her racer choice that applies for every Ring she collects over the course of the race."

"Thirty says she's using Super Sonic." Sherry whispered into Helen's ear. Nobody saw the subsequent blush appear on the pink-haired girl's face. Wario did see the pair of sunglasses Kionna donned afterwards, and Jet added a tinted visor over his eyes, the left one already partially protected by the scouter. And with that the race was on. Entering the virtual Mobius the twelve racers assumed their racers' forms. The only anomaly between them and the actual variants was Jet's racer, a cyan-colored Knuckles lookalike that they were informed was named Zelinoss. Quickly into the race Sherry's racer, Blaze, was following Kionna (as, at the moment, normal Sonic) and when Kionna's current Ring count hit thirty 'Sonic' jumped into the air, fur turning gold and eyes turning red, with a simple "Here we go."

'Called it, Helen!' Sherry thought. But it was on the final lap when disaster struck; Peach had somehow gotten herself into the virtual world and, with Zelinoss looking behind himself at empty track, it happened.

"SOLAR FLARE!" Peach yelled, unleashing a blinding flash of light that resulted in everyone but an unaffected Zelinoss crashing, even though Kionna was even further ahead and also missed the blinding light Peach had fired, and the blonde followed with a massive myriad of energy blasts, causing the fallen racers to lose their held Rings. By the time Kionna, once more in the Super Sonic form, reached the line first Peach was already gone. None of the racers involved in the crash could even gain another Ring as Jet, as Zelinoss, was the next one to the line.

By the time everyone made it back out to the Mushroom World Kionna had already confronted Peach. Or maybe it was the other way around, as Peach suspected Kionna of something concerning the first mission.

"Why did you cause that crash with a Solar Flare? Are you SERIOUSLY trying to limit the Coins earned? AND follow up with a large enough myriad of energy blasts to make sure nobody involved in the crash would earn any personal Coins? You better be careful, 'cause if you're the Mole that might've put someone else on your tail." Kionna said to the blonde.

"Yeah, well, what about when you had Jet stop right in front of me while he was still in his Super Saiyan 3 form?" Peach retorted. "Though the chance i'm the Mole is quite slim, were you seriously attempting to make sure no sabotaging took place in the first mission? 'Cause i've got something for ya." Then, all of a sudden, Peach began to execute a superkick that ended up missing by a good three feet; 296 and 322 had intercepted her with a back-to-back double superkick.

"Sheesh, this is getting a bit too chaotic. Peach, one more move like what you've been doing today and you're gonna be outta here. Even in the odd chance you are the Mole." Jet told the blonde, his power level flaring. Peach immediately paled, not wanting to get on Jet's bad side especially with how high his power level was reported to be. Backing away hastily, Peach ducked behind a tree a good couple hundred feet away.

"Okay, due to Peach's interference the only racer to beat me to the line was Kionna as she missed the Solar Flare, so that results in two thousand Coins. And since she picked up a grand total of 350 Rings during the race, she gains a personal total of seventeen and a half thousand Coins for use outside the game."

In a flash of light everyone warped back to the hotel from the previous night. Room assignments were the same. Like before, nothing major happened. But things were just getting started.
