~Rydel's POV~
A light breeze of wind blowing pass my face. The sound of laughter, enjoyment, fun. It all filled outside.
Family, friend's and lovers having a good time.
Carnivals are one of my favorite hide out places. Since I was younger, it bought me nothing but pure happiness.
The bright lights coming from the game stands, that were part of the carnival, stood on either side. Stuffed animals hung from them.
Bells rung, that notified people of the game that was starting.
The orange-ish sky starting to appear as the sun began to set.
My eyes widen in awe and excited. I haven't been to the carnival in almost a year, so I was really happy
...
Mike and I start walking, looking around as we go.
"What should be do first?"Mike asks, stuffing his hands into his jacket's pockets.
I ponder on that question. Not really sure what I actually wanted to do first, but knowing I wanted to try all of the games in one night.
I chuckle, tucking a piece of loose hair behind my ear. "I actually don't know."
"I think I know one we could do."He smirks.
I raise a eyebrow at him, wondering what he had in mind.
"Come on."He says, walking in a diffrent direction, with me following behind.
...
Mike lead us to a stand with Basketball hoops.
"I'm so not gonna be able to do this."I tell him, referring to the game we were about to play.
"At least try."
"Two dollars for four trys."The man behind the booth says.
Mike nods taking out money from his back pocket.
"Mike I can pay for mine."I tell him, about to look for my money.
"No, it's okay. I bought you out, I should pay."He pays the man. "Plus, I want to."He adds.
I hesitantly let him pay.
"Here you go."He hands us each two balls.
It was fairly hard for me since I wasn't really a sport person. But i'm guessing Mike was since he got almost everyone in.
"Your last ball."The man, reminds me handing me one last ball.
"Just relax."Mike tells me.
I take a deep breath, concentrating on the hoop in front of me.
I hitch a breath, as the ball flew of my hands nearing towards the court.
And...
I miss it once again.
I curse under my breath.
"Ahh! You almost had it!"Mike throws his hands in the air dramatically.
"Let's try something different."I offer, and Mike nods agreeing.
"How about another one of these games, then the Ferris Wheel."I looking around for another one that'd be easy for me.
"Sounds good. And I heard there's supposed to be this band performing at 7, so we sound check them out at the main stage."Mike informs.
The Carnival only does it every two years, but they let some up-incoming bands from many different places, or even famous singers/bands, perform here. That was probably another reason why I loved this Carnival.
This is actually how I got, I guess you can say, more interested in being in a band. The first ever band I saw in concert, was Paramore, and it was actually here. They way they performed just ethused me more.
"I'm so excited for that."I tell him.
He smiles down at me. "Yeah, me too."
...
We played a ring toss game, that I actually won, which is surpising really since I sucked at the last two.
After that, Mike and I got onto the Ferris Wheel. And once we got to the top, I could tell that he had a fear of heights, but her made up a lame excuse of it being because of his 'Near-groundness." which I don't even think is a real thing, but he ensures it is.
So now, we were in the middle of a crowded area waiting for the band to come on.
The stage was empty, except for the drum set that sat up there, with a few microphone stands.
When Mike mentioned the bands name, I instantly remembered them. I've heared a few of their songs before, and they're pretty good.
Next thing you know, the four guys walk onto stage.
"Hello!"One of the guys says into the mic, before sitting behind the drums.
"We're 5 Seconds Of Summer and this is 'Out of My Limit'."The guitarist, Luke, announces.
They crowed cheers, along with Mike and I, as they start.
Back in highschool we used to take it slow
Red lipstick on and high heel stilettos
Had a job downtown working the servo
Had me waiting in line couldn't even let go
'Cause I never wanna be that guy
Who doesn't even get a taste
No more having to chase
To win that prize
You're just a little bit out of my limit
It's been two years now you haven't even seen the best of me
And in my mind now i've been over this a thousand times
And it's almost over
Let's start over
Back in highschool we used to make up plans
Called you up one day to make split ends
Cause I never wanna be that guy
Who doesn't even get a taste
No more having to chase
To win that prize
You're just a little bit out of my limit
It's been two years now you haven't even see the best of me
And in my mind now i've been over this a thousand times
And it's almost over
Let's start over
Mike and I jam out to the band, as they perform. The show is amazing, and the guitar solo right now was wicked.
"Ok, guys clap!"The bassist yells into the mic over the crowds' screams and we obey to his instructions, as they finish the rest of the song.
You're just a little bit out of my limit
It's been two year now you haven't even seen the best of me
And in my mind now i've been over this a thousand times
And it's almost over

...
I lie back into my bed, a growing smile on my face. Tonight was great. I had lots of fun. The band was great. The games were great. Everything was great.
After watching the band perform the last 3 of their songs, Mike and I decide to get a quick bite to eat.
It was about 11 when I got back, and surprisingly none of the boys question me.
That weird since they're usually so protective.
I walk over to my dresser and pull out some sweatpants for me to wear to bed.
I look over at my phone as a text comes in.
'Me, you, ice cream tomorrow. Don't forget it !'Ratliff texts me.
I softly laugh before texting him back.
'I won't! Now go to sleep, Sid !' I use my nickname for him
