Author's Note: I am going to finish this story … I have had it going for five years now … it needs to end.

As they lay on the bed entangled together Rose thought about how incredible the day had been.

"Can we make an agreement?" she said turning over to face Dimitri.

"What sort of agreement?" he replied, not surprised that she had broken the silence. She always breaks the silence first after sex. He found it rather endearing.

"I want to make this a thing … a regular thing" she said confidently.

"I thought we already were a regular thing … actually I believe last time we had sex you asked me if I was your boyfriend" he replied sounding a bit stunned.
Rose had assaulted him with that out of the blue and they had a strange fight where she got dressed quickly and stormed out of his room. He was determined to be with her so if it made her happy he would let her call him her boyfriend, even though no one else was allowed to know.

"No I mean you weren't happy having sex in our safe places, so maybe we make this our sex cabin." She replied very cavalier about it. She loved having sex with Dimitri, it made her feel like she was important to him. And yes, yes she knew that in their last sex encounter she had bombed him with the boyfriend question but she wanted to make sure this was real.

"But we have been meeting up in your room, my room or the gym every night … what more do you want from me?" he said as placidly as he could. He really didn't want to fight about this but he thought she had been satisfied with his acceptance of the boyfriend thing.

"That's not what I mean … but if you don't get it then what's the point in talking about it." Rose said as swung her legs out of the bed. She turned away from him so he couldn't see how hurt she was feeling. All she wanted to do was spend more time with him, all she wanted was for him to feel more comfortable.

As she quickly got dressed Rose made sure to keep her back turned Dimitri. She didn't want him to stop her. She wanted him to think about what she had said and if he really did want to keep up with what they were doing then they needed a better arrangement.

Dimitri wasn't sure where Rose was going but he often found that if he left her to go off in her mood the argument later wouldn't be as bad. He was sensitive to her feelings but he just didn't like having big fights, smaller ones that were resolved easier were what he could deal with.

Rose said nothing and she most certainly didn't look back at Dimitri. She knew her face would betray her and instead of listening to her he would only want to pander to her desires.

Rose hadn't seen Dimitri in a few days. Luckily after months of sneaking around she knew his schedule back to front. She made sure that she wasn't anywhere near him, or that the possibility of crossing paths wasn't an option.

Dimitri didn't even both reporting that Rose hadn't turned up to training. He didn't want to push the subject of becoming 'a regular thing' with Rose in case she wasn't happy with his response.

He decided that he was going to give her a few more days, then he would make her talk to him.

Rose had spent the whole week without sleep. With him by her side she couldn't sleep. Without him her sleep deprivation was worse than before.

On their second night away from each other Dimitri noticed he wasn't getting any sleep until they sorted it out. He went to the gym and trained until he almost fainted due to exhaustion.

Rose got out of bed and got dressed. She couldn't decide between her guardian gear or something sexier. She knew that Dimitri would be in the gym if he couldn't sleep. She was going to get an answer out of him. She was going to be fearless, strong and she was going to demand that he take her more seriously.

All she wanted was for him to feel safe and secure so that he could give himself to her more wholly.

"Sexier will distract him … and hopefully he will still want to continue us" she thought as she dressed and left her room.

The gym was closest to her dorm, the teachers dorms were on the other side of campus.

As she slipped into the gym she noticed someone was over in the far side of the gym with the dummies. Whoever it was definitely was giving that dummy a beat down.

Dimitri didn't hear her come in but he certainly felt her watching. He felt her sneak up behind her. He whipped around, tripped Rose up and pinned her down on the floor.

"DAMN IT!" Rose thought as her body slammed against the floor.

"Roza, took your time" Dimitri murmured, very aware of how close they were. He could never trust himself to be this close to her. His instincts took over his body at this proximity.

Rose saw the hesitation in his eyes and moved her hips. The wiggle was enough to get him to focus back on her.

"Are we ok, Roza?" He whispered into her ear. He started to nuzzle her neck, his instincts took over.

"Are we ready to make this a regular thing?" Rose asked. She hated breaking his sexual mood but she really wanted to sort this out before they made love.

Dimitri jumped off her, and stood up. Helping Rose up at the same time. They walked over to the bench in the corner of the room. Sitting down Rose prepared herself for this confrontation. She was sick of having these situations arise. The sooner they agreed on a routine that they were both comfortable to sooner they could have fun.

"I want this to be easy … effortless" Dimitri said "I love you so much but I just feel like the sneaking around is causing us too much grief."

"I sense it when you are like this. That is why I was thinking about have regular places where we only do certain things" Rose confided.

"Aaaahhhhh that's what you meant …" he said as a smile broke over his face. A huge weight lifted off his shoulders. He was so relieved.

Roses' talk about boyfriends and their looming future as Lissa's guardians had made Dimitri worried about Rose's state of mind. He was concerned that she would want them to stop what they were doing because they didn't have much time before she graduated.

His life was a moment of bliss. He was caught up in her perfection and how much he loved her.

He always did his best to avoid thinking about the future.

Rose looked stunned. She expected that he would understand this. She looked at the floor. She knew that this was stupid but she wanted him to feel safe, so that he could be as open with her as she was with him.

"I was thinking that we could make like a schedule so that we know where we are going without passing any unnecessary notes, you will know guardian schedules and if they are going to change it up you can choose what you want to do." Rose said in a quiet voice not looking up at him.

Her plan/schedule meant that he had to make most of the decisions and do most of the work but he was the one needed the peace of mind not her. "You would be taking on most of the work to keep the routine running smoothly but I want you to be comfortable …" She whispered quietly.

Dimitri cupped her head in his hands. He tilted her head so that he could look into his eyes. He made sure his guards were down and that she was able to see what he was feeling.

"I'll do whatever it takes for us to be together … I'll jump over the highest mountain … I'll swim through the roughest sea for you Roza." He said as he pressed his forehead to hers.

Her breathing became shallow as she closed her eyes.

"If this plan keeps us together I'll do it!" he said as he draped his arms around her, pulling her closer. "Let's do this, let's make a plan and determine a few ground rules."

"Let's make them later, I have a better idea" Rose whispered as she made a move for his shirt buttons. Dimitri's heart wanted to explore. He loved knowing that she wanted the same things that he did.

With this they started to slowly remove each other's clothing. Dimitri let her push him to the floor and take charge. Normally it was a power struggle but tonight he let her control.

Once they had agreed upon creating a routine Dimitri was able to give himself not just physically to Rose. He let her see his emotions. He let her know how much he cared for her.

They both were complete. And their lives settled into a pattern where they could separate their love from their daily schedule and responsibilities.

Authors Summation: I didn't want to end their relationship, but I wasn't sure how to end the story. I was sure what I started with this story all those years ago. I wanted to leave something up to the imagination … I wanted them to be on good terms but still as a secret ;)
