Andy was back in the hospital, a place she swore that she would never end up again. But this time, it was okay. She was okay.

Andy had waited with a blanket wrapped around her shoulder outside the catering building for the ambulance to arrive. Sam insisted on coming with her and considering she would let him go, the paramedics didn't argue.

She was hooked up to a bunch of machines to monitor her vitals, but she was strong and hanging in there. She was proud that she hadn't lost consciousness the entire time.

The ride to the hospital was short and very soon she was situated in a room, awaiting a doctor. They had already set and casted her arm and stitched up the cut above her eyebrow. It was going to scar. She was covered in gauze because she had a bunch of cuts.

Andy had to have a lot of blood tests done because her blood had been in contact with Simon's. It was entirely possible that she could have contracted AIDS or some other unmentionable diseases.

Sam was waiting with her, rubbing small circles on the back of her hand with the pad of his thumb. They were both anxiously awaiting the results.

Andy turned to Sam. Words once again failed her, but she pushed on. "Sam, I love you. Thank you for saving my life again." It sounded kind of lame, even to her ears, but she meant it, from the bottom of her heart. "I don't know what I would do without you."

Sam got up and allowed her to rest her head against his chest. She listened to his heartbeat and felt her body relax. He stroked the top of her head, pressing his lips to her forehead.

"I love you, Andy. Just…try not to get in any more trouble for a while okay?" He gave her one of his dimpled grins and she felt so happy she thought she might cry. They were going to be okay.

Just when she was starting to feel better, Dr. Hart entered the room, a serious look on his face.

"I didn't expect to see you back here so soon, Mrs. Swarek," he admonished lightly. "But I am glad that you are safe once again. You are one lucky woman."

He looked at the stricken faces of both Sam and Andy and realized that he held their future in his hands.

"Right, I'm sure you want the results," Dr. Hart said. He watched as bunch of emotions played across Andy's pale face. He opened the file, looking it over. His eyebrows furrowed together.

Sam's breath caught in his throat and Andy buried her head in his chest once again.

"Well, alright," Dr. Hart exhaled. "You have a mild concussion, which is much better than I would have expected. Your brain needs some rest though. I'm not sure how much more abuse it can take." He peered over his glasses at her; a warning. "As for the rest…you do not have AIDS or any other disease. Still, we want to keep you on medication, just in case."

Andy gasped in relief and let the tears flow. When she looked up at Sam, she was shocked to see tears shining in his eyes as well. He tilted her face up and placed a soft kiss on her lips, their tears mingling together.

Dr. Hart gave them a moment, but he wasn't finished. He was sure that this news was about as life changing as it gets.

Realizing that Dr. Hart was still staring at them expectantly, Andy turned to him. "There's something else, isn't there?" Andy sighed. She wasn't sure she could take much more.

"There was something that we found out when we tested your blood." At their alarmed looks, he continued. "Congratulations."

In turn, their alarmed looks turned to identical masks of confusion. "Mrs. Swarek, you are pregnant, only about a week along."

"Pregnant?" Andy's hands dropped to cover her stomach. It explained the throwing up in the morning and what she thought was her bloated stomach. It also explained why she was so late in getting her period.

Sam was frozen, still staring at Dr. Hart like he had all the answers. "Mrs. Swarek, you are all set to be dismissed. I'll write you some prescriptions and I suggest that you pick up some vitamins." He exited the room, off to check on his other patients. Sam and Andy would be fine, he was sure of it.

Andy looked up at Sam's blank face. "Say something," she said in a strangled voice. "Sam, please."

Instead, he simply scooted onto the bed, pulling Andy into his arms and placing one hand over her stomach. "A baby. Wow…"

"Sam, I don't know the first thing about being a mom. I didn't have much of a role model." She was already feeling overwhelmed and her breathing became shallow.

"That's okay. I didn't have much of a father either." Seeing that she was still visibly upset, he pressed a kiss to her soft cheek. "Hey," he said in a soothing voice. "It's okay." He wiped a stray tear that slid down her cheek.

"I wanted kids, but down the line," Andy admitted. "But…I'm excited. Nervous, but excited." She paused. "Are you sure you are okay with this? We can get a divorce if you want-", she began to ramble.

"Are you crazy?" Sam interrupted her. "What are you thinking?" He leaned so close that his nose brushed against hers. "I can't wait to have a family with you Andy. I'm not going anywhere. I love you."

Andy's heart was full to burst. "Oh, Sam. I love you, too."

Their future was unknown; there had been an unexpected change of plans. But one thing was for sure; they were going to go through it together and nothing would ever change that.

Sorry if it was a shorter chapter but I felt like it had a lot important information…do you guys like where I took this? It just felt like something I had to add. They had been through so much, I thought a baby would bring some joy. Let me know what you think!

Sadly, the next chapter is the epilogue. I'll get it up soon. Enjoy!
