Naruto was giggleing with a carefree smile on his face like he hadn't interrupted something. "Well I was just wondering if you wanted to go get some lunch with the guys!"
Temari slowly walked over with eyes narrowed and fists clenched.
Temari's point of view
He was going to get it.. my fist swiftly traveled up while Shikamaru and naruto were distracted and.
My eyes wide with confusion as I was grabbed by the arm in a running motion hoping tree to tree I looked up to see who it was. Two buns greeted my vision.
"hey temari!" she looked back with a smile.
The shock was slowly demolished and turned into a smile. "hey te-"
Playful anger played in her voice and expression. "why didn't you tell me you were coming!?"
I laughed, yes laughed. I couldn't help it Tenten was my best friend after our forces allied and she could always make me smile. " uh well to be honest I didn't even know I was coming ethier." I looked at my footing as we came to a stop in the field.
The field took my breath away it was so lush and happy peaceful even. The fragrance filled my mind with ease. I heard tenten giggle at my reaction. I realized thata I looke like a child in awe and quickly composed myself.
"it's gorgeous… " I said still trying to get a handle on if this was real or not.
" oh the tough temari in awe?" she felt my head. " are you feeling ok?" she giggled again.
I mocked laughed with her then smiled. I glanced at a tree at the end of the field, she saw my quick glance and a smirk appeared on mine while hers was settled in all seriousness. My words calm and cocky. "wanna race? I pulled my body back in a stance getting ready to jet it. " only if your sure you can handle it" I added. She nodded we both took a breath in and exhaled on our exhale we both ran in swift and steady paces. I had the lead and laughed to provoke her, there was no way she could catch up to me. I have this in the bag.
We were almost at the tree I yelled behind me "better luck next time Tenten!" but after that I felt my knees buckle as chains brought them to the ground a few seconds later I saw tenten pass my vision. "hey that's not fair!" I yelled.
"nothings fair if you're a ninja!" she yelled back happy.
"Fine have it your way" I whispered under my breath. I closed my eyes concentrating on the wind patterns. Creating an image combining my chakra with the surrounding wind swept tenten of her feet and I opened my eyes with a squeak from tenten jolted up and went into a sprint to the tree.
With a giggle I smirked at tenten as she struggled to get off the ground while pouting she walked to where I was.
She sighed "why do you always have to win."
"because im just that great." I said sticking my tongue out.
I lowered myself to the bottom of the tree as tenten threw herself down beside me. I inhailed the sweet aroma and laid my head and back up against the tree. "so what have you been up to lately?" I asked closing my eyes to relax under that shade of the leaves. A high pitched and abrupt "nothing" came from her lips.
My eyes turned to her in shock and giggles erupted from my lips "what the hell was that!? Tenten you are such a horrible liar! You could've even lied about the lie!" I said clutching my sides at her blushing face. "w-wait let me guess…" I said wiping a tear from my eye and calming down. "hm…your teammates saw you changing… you leaked… you hit yourself with your own weapon…" tenten yelled embarrassed "temari!" I kept naming off things intill I gasped "you have a crush!" her face grew fire red. "shut up shut up shut up!" "its not like anyone is going to hear us out here! so come on who is it?" I said nudging her side.
She looked down at the ground and whispered something playing with her hands nervously. "huh, what was that?" I said leaning closer. "come on Tenten ive never seen you act this girly ever!" she narrowed her eyes and shouted " it's Neji alright!"
Hm the hyuuga kid… I looked confused at her. "really?"
"yes really!? Whats the matter with him!?" she spoke defensively.
Ive never seen her act this way, before I knew it I found the whole situation funny giggles erupted from my lips as tenten became more and more flustered. Suddenly a smirk was set in place on her face.
"What are you laughing at. What about shikamaru?" I stopped laughing and looked at her disgusted, but for some reason I felt my cheeks becoming hot.
"what are you talking about." I said sternly.
"please Temari you cant fool me! You like him." She said happily.
"on the contrary I hate him." I said crossing my arms finding this subject no longer funny.
"I've seen the way you too are around each other!"
"your insane." I glanced in her direction the heat growing in my face.
"I'm sure that's why your blushing… come to think of it ive never really seen you blush maybe only 2 times before. This must be special." She said smiling poking my cheek. I pushed her hand away.
"don't be ridiculous, He's Lazy, sexist and frustrating to be around. He is only my guide and this is only for business on his part and some screwy idea my brother sent me here with." I snapped.
"okay just keep telling that to yourself." She said triumphantly. Oh yeah, she totally likes him even if she doesn't know it yet…
I humphed and a gurgle came from tenten's stomach changing the subject. "im getting hungry,, in a bit wanna hit someplace to eat?"
Im getting a bit hungry myself lets do it. I replyed.
