Shikamaru could feel an intense glare on him while Naruto started babbling. Oh yeah Temari… he thought. He yelled at Naruto to shut up when they heard a rustling in the leaves and a flash. Temari was no longer there, Shikamaru could tell it was Tenten, so she'd be fine plus he really did not want to chase after her… *sigh*

"So what did you want Naruto?" I looked back at the blonde wondering what all this ruckus was about.

"Oh yeah! Me and the guys were going to get lunch! Want to come!"

I pondered this for a moment and then nodded to him. "Sure."

He lifted himself from the ground and waiting for me, I yawned and then slowly picked myself up, putting my hands in my pockets.

"Where are we going again?" I asked.

"You know that barbeque place!" he said still enthusiastic.

"Let me guess, Choji picked it out."

Naruto's eyes widened "yeah! How'd you know!?"

"He is my best friend you know…." "Anyways… who is all going again?"

"You'll see!"

"What a drag… is it really that hard just to tell me?" I said in a sigh as we began to enter into the restaurant, the aroma was very satisfying. I took a minute to breathe it in letting it make my hunger reach its peak.

Naruto was panning the area when he saw everyone waving at us from their seats. We walked towards them; it had been a while since we all have gone out like this. Unfortunately we came in on a rather…well troublesome topic.

Temari's POV

We were sitting in the back of the barbeque place when I saw a certain pineapple head walk in with a spiky haired idiot. I ignored him since he obviously hadn't noticed me yet, not like I wanted him too. To be perfectly honest I was waiting for him to though, I had to be alert because I knew the games were about to begin.

I glanced back before Tenten noticed me staring and picked up the plastic menu. I looked over it carefully, well this is a barbeque place so I suppose I should just get that, but then again maybe salad would just be a better choice I mean I should look after my health better...

"Hello, I am Kana your server today! Can I get you any drinks?" She was tall, blonde with green eyes and almost as thin as a twig. She looked at me first.

"Can I have a raspberry sweetened tea please?" She smiled and replied with a mhm, then looked at Tenten, "same for me please." And the waitress responded with the same sound. I watched as she walked away.

"What are you getting Tenten?" I asked with my eyes still glued to my menu.

"Well um I was thinking that we could just get the mini grill it yourself buffet." She said hesitantly.

"Sounds good to me." I put my menu down, just in time to see kana coming with our drinks and a young male who seemed to work here too.

"So two teas." She set them down on the coasters in front of us. "I have been requested at another table, but Akio would be glad to take your orders for you." She gestured to the man and walked away. I noticed that the boy had been staring at places that were 'top secret'. So I uncomfortably coughed with an annoyed look on my face as I began to sip at my drink.

That caught his attention as he looked at Tenten while a slight blush appeared on his face. "What would you like miss?"

Tenten as cheery as ever was oblivious to this perv she responded "we will be sharing the mini grill it yourself buffet, please." He took out his pen and began to write down the order. "Ill is right back with that." He walked back only turning back to wink and lick his lips. I glared at him, he looked shocked to be intimidated with a look, and this would probably prove for him to push harder.

I looked at Tenten "please tell me you saw that one…" I said doubtful.

"Hm, saw what?" she said absolutely clueless.

"Sigh…just watch for when he comes back okay?" I said pinching my eyebrows in a hopeless expression.

"Is it another guy crushing on you? Really? Why does this happen EVERYWHERE we go? I mean come on, I'm the cute one." She giggled and winked, I laughed with her.

"You sound like it's a good thing! It's kinda creepy actually! Besides you can be the cute one as long as I'm the hot one." I smirked and the sipped at my drink seductively as a joke.

"The worst thing about this one is that he's going to push it, and probably regret it." I said smirking "I mean I usually go for the self control thing, but why not have a little fun with this one, eh?"

"Hah tema are you feeling alright?" she looked at me questioningly playing with her straw.

"Yeah why wouldn't I be?" I said.

"Well you wouldn't even want to "have fun with it" you either don't deal with this shit or just be the bigger person and ignore it." She looked at me suspiciously. I made the mistake to make a quick glance towards Shikamaru who was looking at me rather ancy, unfortunately she saw it.

"Aha!" she exclaimed pointing a finger at me nearly jumping out of her seat.

"Damn it!" I shouted right after her noticing.

"You want him to see you cause a scene! Hoping that he will care and whisk you away into the night!"

"Do you even know how completely and utterly out of character that is for either of us….like I said earlier you are insane." I frowned at her in disappointment.

"Whatever, but I ship you too shikatema forever!" she yelled.

I covered her mouth "what are you doing?! Are you drunk or something! He's going to hear you!" I said blushing.

"So you do care!" she triumph ally smiled.

"Would you just shut up for once!" she giggled at my frustration.

"All I'm saying is that you didn't deny any of it this time." She said waving her straw in my face.

I pushed it away and said "consider all of it denied."

The waiter came back with our food shortly after. "Here is your raw meat and seasonings ladies." He reached across me to turn the grill on. "If this meat doesn't satisfy you, I can have a special meal prepared in the back." He said putting his hand on my thigh and trying to break past my cold eyes. It was safe to say I was less than amused.

A/N: okay it's beyond apology that I haven't updated! I'm so sorry! Seriously any ideas though? And I love it when you review! To be honest I had a hard time writing this chapter as short as it may be… oh and did shika see this? Will Temari have some fun? Lol happy Fourth of July everyone!
