REVISED A/N: CHAPTER 3! YAY! Well, the first part of it. I'm been looking ahead on what I had been writing, and I realized something. SO MUCH TO CHANGE! Changing that one little detail has me rewriting much of the later chapters already written, and by much, I mean ALL. Feel free to throw a comment at that review box over there, tell me how your liking the changes. Sorry if I miss anything that needed to be changed in the chapters (shouldn't have). 'Tis a lot to change.

Disclaimer: I don't own My Little Pony or anything from Halo. If I did, do you think I would be sitting here typing this?

…Don't answer that…

"What was THAT?!" Twilight was exclaiming from the cover of a table she was hiding under when something had hit the side of the tower above the library, causing some stone to fall away to the ground below. Not minutes before hand, she had been reading the book Spike had found on the Elements of Harmony before getting interrupted just after reading about the supposed location of them.

Soon after the last stones fell noisily onto the ground, all fell silent.

And amazingly, not a single pony had been woken up by the commotion going on outside.

By the time Twilight had reached the window to see what it was, there was no sign as to anything had happened or to what had caused the sounds or where it went save for the pieces of stone on the ground.

"What was that Twilight?" Spike inquired, apparently not noticing Twilight was just as in the dark about what just happened as him.

"I don't know Spike, but I think we should tell the Princess about it," Twilight said, coming to a definant course of action. "We should also write to her about the elements and the Mare in the Moon. Quick, grab a quill. Dear Princess Celestia….."

Oooowwww

That was the only thought coming to mind as I steadily crept back into consciousness. I had planned on the landing being rough, but that was ridiculous. My head felt like the Faith had just set down on top of it, and it wasn't getting better.

As I shuffled around getting my bearings and clear my head, I did a check for injuries. Mostly bruises and cuts which would heal no problem. The slight cut on my forehead that reminding me that I did hit my head during the crash and was probably home to not only the slight bit of blood coming out, but also a big nasty bruise and possible concussion.

Well, better get that cleaned up, I thought as I checked the wreck of the pelican for the equipment I had packed before departing and for any salvageable valuables, hopefully some sort of medical kit. I pulled out the bags I had put in one of the storage compartments and tossed them outside the pelican. After a bit more searching, I found a first aid kit stashed away and proceeded to patch myself up. After securing a bandage to the very sore cut on my head, I began sifting through the items to check if anything wasn't broken, laying them out as I checked. One redesigned MA5C Assault Rifle and 30 magazines of accompanying ammunition looking fine with minor scratches. One BR55 Battle Rifle with ACOG scope instead of the regular HUD integrated scope, and selective fire between single shot and burst, giving it the ability of becoming a short range DMR, along with 15 mags of ammo green and ready to go. Along with the two well-equipped guns were two boxes filled with 12 frag grenades each, a combat knife, a standard issue magnum with 2 mags, an unfortunately broken IR/NV (Infrared/Night-vision) Binoculars, and my personal favorite, thankfully undamaged, the SR04 Magnetic Accelerator Sniper Rifle, lovingly nicknamed by me the 'No Fucks Given' problem deterrent. Equipped with an IR/NV Variable zoom scope, bi-pod, and capable of firing a .50 caliber, tungsten encased depleted uranium round at speeds that would make armor-plating seem like wet tissue paper, it was by far one of the most destructive infantry carried weapons in the UUA. As I looked around for its ammo, I felt my heart sink when I was only able to find 3 mags with 6 rounds apiece for it.

Well shit, I thought I packed more. Hopefully I won't need it, and if worse comes to worst, I'll just have to use it sparingly…

I was forced away from that thought as the radio in the cockpit stirred to life.

"Adm….*static*…. Mi…*static*…. d….. copy….. Admira….do…..*static*…..copy?" I made my way over to the radio, answering back, "Yeah, I copy. How long have I been out?

"Hold….. on…..*static*….. Adjus… frequen…, "Fi answered back, using the crippled comm systems of the Faith, "boosti…. power … an.. that.. should do it. I don't know exactly how long you have been unconscious, but I can make an estimation. The Faith short-range IFF readers lost your pelican about half an hour ago. I've been trying to contact you since then, but haven't had the range. I had to bring the Faith into a high orbit. Engines 1,3,4 and 6 are all at minimum power and holding orbit for now, but will have to move away before I lose the stability of the orbit."

Half an hour, huh… "If any locales saw me, they probably would have been here by now," I reasoned.

"Affirmative," Fi agreed," Also, while I was scanning for you, I picked up many signs of civilization. Though some of the readings read otherwise, it seems that the native intelligent species of this planet tech is high Tier 7, beginnings of Tier 6; though in some portions, it reads more along a limited low Teir 5."

"That's interesting," I remarked. "Could there be two developing species here? I do remember hitting a castle on my way down, but that's about it."

"Unknown. Scanners also picked up large groups of what seemed like small equines in the populated areas."

"So, what are you telling me? Planet populated by sentient horses?"

"It would seem, though I cannot say for sure, not until the scanners are completely repaired and the main generators are back to sufficient levels to run a higher density scan. The population may just own many horses, but with these numbers that seems unlikely. I suggest as a current course of action that you go and scout out the locals, seeing as we are going to be here for a while. The pelican is, I'm assuming, not in flying condition and even if it is, and you managed to get back up to the Faith, we wouldn't be able to leave the system, let alone this universe,'' stated Fi.

"Agreed. Plus, I like recon missions" I said. "Something about making everyone look like a fool when they don't notice you just tickles my fancy. And you know, mingling with the locales."

"I would recommend against putting yourself in a First-Contact scenario and stick to protocol. We know nothing on the inhabitants, and would be best if our presence go unnoticed, at least for now. Got to be quick, I can't keep the Faith in orbit much longer."

"Fine," I said, "get her out of the gravity well, but in a week, I'll be expecting you to check in. Don't want to be stranded here with just the locales as company."

"Yes sir," I could hear the smirk on Fi's countenance," Column of Faith, out. Talk to you in a week."

"Copy that, out."

After cutting off the radio and gathering up the supplies back on the pelican, save for the combat knife, which I had slid into the knife sheath on my left thigh, the now holstered magnum with a spare clip of ammo, and the detached scope of the SR04, I turned towards the direction in which I had seen the village and started walking, getting chills from the forest around me as I proceeded into the darkness.

"…. and to make FRIENDS?!"

Twilight couldn't believe what she was reading. The Princess had basically just ignored her. Sure, the chances of her believing something had hit the tower was slim since she was probably asleep coupled with the fact that there wasn't a lot of damage, and even the story of the Mare in the Moon, but she always listened to her, her personal protégé, but she just, albeit nicely, brushed her off.

She didn't know how to feel.

"Don't worry Twilight, I'm sure she is going to look into it. She might just have other things on her mind," Spike said, trying to comfort Twilight.

"That has to be it," Twilight tried to convince herself, though failing miserably.

"Well, let's get to bed, maybe you'll feel better after some sleep before we head out"

"Yeah…."

Unbeknownst to most below, something was stirring in the night sky, and it wasn't the damaged frigate.

REVISED A/N: Part 1 UP! I added a bit (a lot) of detail that this chapter was sorely lacking, bumping up the word count by a lot. Also some grammatical and structural changes. Other than the more obvious changes, that is about it. Keep your eyes out for the next chapter! Arwingmaster1, out.
