Chapter 6
Music was blaring loudly from the large mansion, and lights were flickering from every direction as Sting and Lucy walked through the guarded gates. Lucy's hand was slipped through Sting's, though he had both his hands in the pockets of his jeans.
It was, after all, a casual/pool party. Lucy was dressed in a black mini skirt, and a black bandeau, the skin of her stomach exposed, as well as plenty of cleavage. To match her outfit, she wore knee high, black leather boots and just in case brought a simple midnight blue two-piece bikini should she decide to swim. Her boyfriend, on the other hand, had lazily threw on a dark grey t-shirt and jeans.
There were enough people, but not too much. A few photographers, sponsors, business partners and family friends were present. Juvia was in the pool, holding onto Lyon Bastia, while Gray was frowning, already half naked as he entered through the gate. His date for the night was Sherry, another model, but poses for the Lamia Scale Magazine.
Natsu and Erza were the last to enter, holding hands the whole trip to Juvia's home. Lucy could not help but smile at how the two actually looked great together no matter how contradicting their personalities were. They made quite the couple.
"Lucy!" The blonde female turned and ran up to embrace Loke, who, in return gave her a soft kiss on the cheek, smirked at Sting's way, and made his way back to his date. "See you around babe."
A small laugh escaped Lucy's lips as Loke gave her one last wink before disappearing into the spacious mansion. She turned back to the group behind her, Gray already missing, probably to where Juvia was, each with their own expression and reaction to the scene that just occurred before them.
"Sting, let's go get some food? I'm hungry," Lucy took hold of Sting's hand, and pulled him towards the table of snacks and refreshments. Her hips were swaying to the music as she looked over the plates, trying to decide what exactly it was she wanted.
"Don't do that," a low voice growled in her ear, two strong hands holding her by the waist and one making its way up what skin was exposed.
Lucy frowned, but inwardly smirked, "Why not? I'm just having fun. You're lame."
She turned to face him and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him close. "You know, just because we're together now doesn't mean you can just touch me whenever you feel up to it. I meant what I said. You're going to go through torture before you can have me."
Sting frowned, "You know you have so many rules. And you just go around kissing me whenever you want, huh?"
Lucy looked past him, a small smirk tugging at the corner of her lips. She quickly placed his hands on her cheeks, and she leaned in towards him, their lips meeting halfway. Just as Sting was beginning to respond, he was abruptly pulled away from her, Minerva glaring daggers at Lucy.
"What the hell are you doing, Sting?" She growled, her canines almost showing, a clear look of disgust on her face. The people around them were turning their direction, just as Lucy expected for every gossip loving, rich bastard to do when a fight was about to break out. "Who the hell is this slut?"
Lucy feigned a hurt expression, "What? I'm his girlfriend. Who are you?" More people were beginning to gather around as Minerva narrowed her eyes and asked Sting for confirmation of Lucy's statement.
Sting pulled himself away from Minerva's grip, and held Lucy by the waist, "She is my girlfriend. What are you doing here Minerva?" Whispers were heard among the gathering bystanders of how Minerva and Sting are siblings, and why was she so affected by his relationship with Lucy.
"What do you mean girlfriend? There's nothing special about her! What could she possibly have that I don't! You know how I feel about you Sting! I've loved you ever since—" she stopped, as gasps and murmurs erupted from the crowd. Her face turned a crimson red with embarrassment, realizing she just confessed her affections to her half brother in public. Flashing lights blinded her as photographers snapped photos of the scene, Lucy looking helpless and afraid in Sting's arms.
"What the hell do you think you're doing! Shut off those cameras! And you!" She pointed a finger at Lucy, and grabbed handfuls of her hair and began to yank it forcefully. "This is all your fault you bitch!"
Lucy snapped just as Sting was about to pull the two away from each other. The female blonde slapped Minerva's hands away from her, and pushed her onto the ground. She stood over Jiemma's daughter, her eyes hard, and cold, full of anger, hatred, and menace, "You're sick, you know that? Thinking about having a relationship with your blood related brother. And then saying it's my fault, when clearly, you're at fault for even fantasizing about him! And to think you would confess in front of so many people just because you're jealous of his girlfriend! It's scandalous." Her voice lowered to a whisper, so only Minerva could hear her, "In fact, this might just haunt you for life. And I sincerely hope it does."
Minerva remained on the concrete ground, her eyes wide, as she took in her current situation. She knew her father would disapprove of the scandal she created and she was sure to face consequences. People were shaking their heads her way, giving her disgusted looks, while others continued to take photos of her. There were whispers coming from every direction she noticed, as Orga, her date for the night pulled her up and led her out to make their way home.
Lucy hid herself onto Sting's chest, taking a peek at the disappearing form of Minerva and whoever her date was. She smirked at her victory. It was not as big as her other plan to take down Jiemma, but it was enough to satisfy her for the time being. Although a part of her felt guilty for what happened, she knew better. Minerva deserved everything coming her way, especially because she was the one who usually agreed to and enacted what crimes her father suggested her way.
"Luce! You okay?" Natsu and Erza pushed through the still murmuring crowd, worry plastered on their faces.
"Are you hurt? Your hair's a mess," Erza pulled Lucy free from Sting's hold and embraced her. Anger prominent on her features. "You know, Sting, I never did like your sister."
"I'm alright. Though, that's the first time I've ever been attacked like that. You're sister is crazy," Lucy assured them that she was okay, and capable of standing on her own.
All attention was diverted the direction of the pool as Lyon and Gray began a competition of their own. Somewhat thankful for the distraction, Lucy took a seat on a nearby chair, followed by Sting. He was frowning, but his jaw was rigid, his teeth clenched tightly together.
"You have some guts, you know that?" A small laughter escaped him, as Lucy gave him a questioning look. "I can't believe you actually said that to Minerva. I've never seen anyone but Erza stand up to her before." The way he laughed had Lucy unconsciously smiling. He looked quite adorable so carefree with his expressions, and for some reason, it helped lighten the mood after what happened. "You should smile more often, too."
Flushed, Lucy turned away from him, "S-shut up."
Sting took a deep breath and stretched his arms out, yawning, "Sorry about Minerva by the way. We never really see each other, so I didn't think she would react so violently."
Lucy stood up and took a seat on his lap, once again, surprising him with her actions, she began to play with his hair, mixing up his train of thought, "S'okay. As long as we got it through to her that you're not available, especially, for her. Really, it's not right."
The male blonde raised an eyebrow, amused, "Really? And it's absolutely right that when you say you're my girlfriend, you are my girlfriend? Even without my say in the matter?"
Once again, Lucy blushed, not wanting to face him, "Of course. You should even consider yourself lucky, unless you don't want to be with me, but that's alright either way. I'm not losing anything. "
"I never said I didn't want to. Though, I was hoping that I'd get to know you a little better before all that, but I suppose we can reverse the order."
Lucy was mentally slapping herself for allowing him make her blush so many times. Why did he seem so understanding all of a sudden? There was a warm feeling beginning to surface inside her, but she chose to ignore it. He was just a pawn she would use to take down Jiemma, nothing more. After her plan for revenge, she would break all ties with him and move on with her life.
"So how exactly do you know Juvia? Don't tell me it's Bacchus again?" Sting frowned.
Lucy shook her head, and decided to tell the truth, "We grew up together. Our parents were close friends. When Juvia decided she wanted to become a model, I helped her look for a manager and everything. On her first year, I was the one who did her makeup. We're just really great friends from childhood."
"And Loke?"
"The same. Except back then I really didn't like him, but when my mother died..." Her voice trailed off, but she managed to smile and continue, "when my mom died...he was the one who comforted me. All of my firsts were with him."
Sting clenched his teeth together. She was so fond of Loke. "All of them?" Something inside him was burning with rage, but another was slowly breaking for a reason he couldn't fathom.
Lucy smiled genuinely, "Yeah. He took me skydiving, surfing, cliff diving, everything that was on my bucket list." She laughed, a small tint of pink at her cheeks, "but then again, you are my first boyfriend. I suppose it didn't happen as romantically as I thought my first boyfriend would be, but it doesn't really matter."
Sting's frown deepened. It was so easy for her to say their relationship wasn't much of a big deal, especially considering he was her first boyfriend. He knew, deep down, there was a reason she chose him, and now, he was even more determined to find out exactly what she was hiding. He took a good look at her and noticed the sadness and rage swirling in her eyes. Something she spoke of was making her upset, and oblivious him wasn't quite sure what it was. "You want to head home now?"
Lucy leaned against him, and closed her eyes, "Actually, Juvia asked me to stay for the night." She giggled as Sting traced patterns on her skin with his calloused fingers. "Don't do that!"
"Lu-chan!" at the sound of her name, Lucy stood up from Sting's lap, searching for the familiar blue hair and green eyes of her best friend, Levy McGarden. She was holding onto her boyfriend, who, as usual, had a scowl on his face at the sight of so many people gathered.
"Levy-chan!" Lucy waved to her, while the blonde male behind her had his eyes furrowed. He was certain that Levy did not know Lucy after the phone call they made. She had been very straightforward that she did not know anyone by the name of Lucy Heartfilia when Natsu spoke to her. So what the heck was going on?
Then the realization hit him as Levy approached Lucy and gave her hug. The blue-haired heiress knew nothing about his involvement with the phone calls. After all, it was Natsu who spoke to her, and judging by the way her green eyes flickered his way, she has yet to tell Lucy about their little devious act. Sting watched as Levy whispered something to his girlfriend that caused her to frown. There was something definitely going on, but the thought was pushed to the back of his mind as a rather large build of a man with red eyes and jet black hair was eyeing him with a glare.
"Lu-chan, when we opened the case, every file inside was written in some code. I tried to decipher them, but I haven't had much success. The only one I know who can actually work with those codes is Freed and we all know he's working with Laxus. You two don't have a very pretty history if I recall." Lucy frowned at her best friend's news. It was true. When she moved to a different country after middle school, Laxus was one of the few friends she made, until he had confessed to her and was turned down. He wasn't quite happy with her decision which broke what ties Lucy had with him as well as anyone else associated with him. "I heard they are actually in town for the summer but, I don't know how we can ask them for help. I also heard, he's not quite fond of Sting either"
Lucy bit her lip, trying to think of a way she might just be able to convince Laxus and his crew to help. Well, at least Freed. It has been almost four years since then, and a part of her hoped that Laxus might be able to stop looking back and be the good friend he was before.
"It's alright Levy-chan. Thanks a lot though!" She gave her friend a smile and Gajeel a quick peck on the cheek, which surprised him. "You guys have been a lot of help and I'm thankful for that. Don't worry too much about Freed. I got this."
With one last wink, she turned to Sting, who was still unsure of what was happening. "Come on. Let's forget about all that drama and just have fun."
Sting had his jaw dropping as he watched Lucy, drunk, dancing on the island center of the pool, on a pole so conveniently placed there. He was not the only one with that same expression, seeing as Natsu and Gray we just as surprised if not, horrified that their sweet, innocent Lucy was dancing so...inappropriately. And not to mention she was quite good at it too.
The only relief to Sting was that everyone else had gone home for the night and the grand party became somewhat more private between his friends and Lucy's friends. Juvia and Lucy were currently fighting over the pole, Gray trying to determine who to look at between the two. Gajeel was being jumped by his girlfriend, while Erza just began to attack Natsu and boss him around. Loke seemed to be the only one enjoying the presence of the Aguria heiress, as well as the Strauss sisters. It seemed that the men were the only ones coherent enough to know what was going on.
On any normal night, Sting would be with a girl under his arms in a hotel bed, but this night, he felt obligated—yes, obligated— to watch over his housemaid/girlfriend. Then again, it wasn't as if he was actually going to cheat on Lucy. After all, she is his girlfriend. And like any normal boyfriend, excluding the nonexistent feelings, it was only right that he walk up to Lucy and keep her from grinding against that pole.
"This is mine!" Sting swallowed as Lucy whined at the blue-haired female arguing with her for that stupid pole. Why the heck would she even want that, Sting was more than willing to offer himself to her. "Juvia, I was here first!"
"But Juvia wants to entertain Gray-sama!" The raven haired male stood gawking, as Juvia seductively winked at him.
Sting, having had enough of Lucy's dirty dancing, mainly because his pants were beginning to tighten around him, walked over to the her and grabbed her hand, "Lucy, enough of this. Let's go home."
Small fingers trailed over his chest, "Fine. Let's go to bed then?" Her free hand held onto his tie, dragging him inside the large modern designed home. Before they could make it through another door, Sting was pushed against the wall, his lips occupied by Lucy's own, her hands already pulling at what clothes he had on.
Sting was unsure what to do. Drunk Lucy was the perfect chance to get her to spill what secret she had, but it was already so difficult to push her away from him, what with her breasts brushing against his chest, her fingers unbuttoning his shirt, and the soft moans escaping her lips in between kisses. Her golden hair was unsurprisingly soft between his fingers as he responded to the urgency in her actions.
A few moments after his shirt was removed and her skirt rode up to reveal her white, lacy underwear, Sting regrettably pulled away from her. He noticed the way her chocolate orbs narrowed, and the way she childishly turned her head away from him, lips forming a pout. He knew the mood was already ruined, and he probably would not get a chance like that again, but he could not ignore what Rogue told him earlier.
"Lucy, who taught you how to dance like that?"
Her eyes met his blue orbs, face flushed from the large quantity of alcohol consumed. "My mommy always snuck me out of the house to teach me new things. She let me take ballet and belly dance!" She lifted her skirt a little more, a leather belt strapped a pistol on her leg, "See? She always took me out for target practice too!"
A little freaked out, Sting pulled the gun off the belt and placed it at a high, undetectable place in the room. "What the hell, Lucy?! Why do you carry a gun with you?!" His eyes were wide from both worry and fear that Lucy might just be in danger. "Just who are you?!"
There was a pregnant silence in the room, only the sounds of her breathing the vibrations from the music outside disturbed the ongoing stillness. She opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. Again, her lips parted, "I…"
"Lucy!" Someone opened the door to the room, light illuminating the dark room. Loke stood at the doorway, eyes narrowed at Sting, his teeth clenched together in anger. He walked up to the two, noticing their intimate position, and pulled Lucy away from Sting. "What the hell do you think you're doing to her? Taking advantage of her while she's intoxicated, are you that desperate?!"
Pissed Sting grabbed Lucy's hand, "She's my girlfriend. If she wants me to fuck her, then I fuck her I will." He smirked in satisfaction at Loke's expression.
Letting go of the female blonde, who could only watch in fear, Loke punched Sting at his jaw, causing him to step back a few feet away from them. Loke growled at him, "Don't think she's actually your girlfriend because she likes you. She could never fall for someone she despises so much. I'm warning you Eucliffe, touch her, and you're going to wish you were dead."
Sting watched as Loke walked Lucy out of the room, but did not notice when she turned her head to look back at him, her eyebrows creased together with worry. Wiping the blood from his mouth, Sting's eyes narrowed, He knows what Lucy is up to. He knows exactly what she's hiding.
He stood up, walking back to the dresser and reached at the top for the pistol that belonged to Lucy, turning it from one side to the other and back. "Lucky L. Company…" Pulling out his phone, he dialed Rogue's number, "Rogue, I need you to search up what you can about the Lucky L. Company."
Well, Looks like I finally found a little bit of inspiration to write another chapter for this story:)
I thought this one turned out much better than the last chapter, especially because I was able to write all this in such a short time period compared to the last. Anyways, I also felt that I was neglecting this story too much and decided to update again:)
Please let me know what you think. It really helps to continue to write more and update faster:)
Thank you!
