'Thoughts'
Just thought I should clarify.
Giotto clenched his fist as he watched Tsuna being taken away. He could do nothing to help his own son. He had told everyone that he would be back next week. How was this going to work.
Knuckles was skirting around him, as Giotto could be very scary when he wanted to be. His son was involved so he didn't know what to expect. He was a little scared at the passive aggressive mood Giotto was displaying though. They had watched Tsuna get taken but they couldn't do anything from them being mafia. The police already had their eye on Giotto when there was a little spat at the parent-teacher once. Nobody really forgot that.
The two had been watching through the window, they were hidden as it was almost dark and a lot of shadows, with them looking in on Tsuna's window. Knuckles held back Giotto when he started to struggle out of the tree but that didn't stop them seeing the image shift.
They could tell mist flames were being used as illusions were formed in front of them. They saw what the police saw but they also new it wasn't all there was to it.
Giotto snapped his head to the left as he felt the illusions coming from there and alerted Knuckles.
"Go around the back of that tree. Somebody is there an they are the ones making illusions." Giotto mumbled low enough that only Knuckles heard it. He nodded and stealthily ran to the appointed spot.
Giotto crept forward and suddenly pounced when he knew he was close enough. He pinned the person against the tree by locking their arms against their chest. A sudden burst of moon light had Giotto gasping. It was Chrome.
"Nagi, what are you doing here? I thought you like Tsuna?" Giotto asked surprised.
"I'm Chrome now, not Nagi. Uncle Daemon is helping Brother to answer your question." Chrome said timidly as she felt the grip on her wrists weakening.
She hastily got out of Giotto's grasp and said before disappearing into the darkness, (How cliché) "Go to Kokuyo Land".
Giotto stood frozen in his spot, unable to comprehend what just happened. Only Knuckles coming up to him in the tree snapped him out of his slump.
"Giotto, the person disappeared as soon as I got close. Who was it?" Knuckles asked as he waved his hands in front of Giotto's face to get his attention.
"Nagi, Daemon's distant niece. She told me to go to Kokuyo land for something." Giotto mumbled more to himself then Knuckles.
Giotto turned from the trunk and leaped down lightly to the ground. They weren't that high up so it was fine. Knuckles followed and the two went into the house that was torn apart. Giotto almost screamed.
He walked farther into the house and saw a picture frame on the ground. He stepped over some broken glass and stooped down to pick it up. In the picture frame was a smiling five year old, a blond and a brunette woman that looked like Tsuna smiling in front of an amusement park entrance.
Giotto gasoed as he realized what Nagi meant. He slapped a hand to his head before placing the picture, which was thankfully not broken, back where it used to be. Knuckles was watching silently as he rocked back and forth on his heels.
"Nagi meant to go to Kokuyo land as in the amusement park. It was shut dawn because there was a mudslide. Nobody bothered to restore it and with the new highway there isn't really any traffic there. That's the perfect spot to hide somebody!"
Knuckles wasn't sure he expected from Giotto. His son being taken right from under his nose wasn't going to look good. It didn't help that everybody thought that it was actually Giotto that took Tsuna. So when he saw the almost calm expression on his boss' face, he was shocked to say the least.
The only sign Giotto was actually upset over what happened was the more then usual narrowed eyes, it had been two hours since they went to the police station. Knuckles decided that he should call for reinforcements if they were to help Tsuna.
Knuckles excused himself from the living room where the two were sitting in. They had given up in falling asleep as they were too worried about Tsuna. All the guardians were fond of Tsuna as they used to spend time with him when Giotto couldn't when he would live in the mansion.
Knuckles took his cell phone out of his priest robes and dialed G's number. The phone rung for three rings before G picked up. Knuckles sighed in relief when he heard the click.
"What do you want Knuckles?" G growled into the phone in Italian. There was a rushing around and rapid fire Italian happening in the background.
"I need you and Asari to come to Japan. Tsunayoshi got kidnapped and it was surprisingly after he was released from jail." Knuckles answered in Italian. He was speaking quietly so Giotto wouldn't hear him.
"Why was that kid in jail?" G asked in shock. The noise on the other end quieted slightly.
"The police came as there was an anonymous tip that a serial killer was here. It was wrong obviously but they still aren't over Giotto living here and being a mafia boss. Tsuna was taken because illusions warped the officer's view into Tsuna smiling with bodies around him. He was bailed out but illusions were used again to take Tsuna away as they pretended to be Giotto." Knuckles explained the situation with a weary sigh.
They had went into the police station an hour after Mukuro was there. Giotto was close to diving across the counter and putting the guard in a choke hold by then.
"Damn. Giotto must be losing it by now. Why me and Asari?"
"Because you guys are best friends of Giotto and I'm guessing that he'll need some help if he's going to get Tsunayoshi back."
"Hmm. I'll ask him but there aren't any promises because Asari seems to be leaving soon. He won't tell anyone what for so it depends."
"Try your hardest to get over here. Tsunayoshi was taken and Giotto seems to know where he's going to go. I don't think it'll be great if he goes in alone. We at least need backup."
"I get it. Stop griping me." G growled as he snapped his phone shut.
G turned to the room he was in and said, "That was Knuckles. He just told me that Tsunayoshi was taken. Me and Asari are going to Japan before Giotto does something stupid, which he probably will sooner or later."
"Who's going to take care of the mansion when everyone else is going to be gone?" Lampo asked as he dropped a pen onto the desk he was at.
"Obviously there's going to be somebody here, idiot." G snapped at Lampo. "You will be staying until further notice. Then when Daemon or Alaude come you can leave."
"What about if Daemon doesn't show up?" Asari asked as he stood up to leave.
"Then we'll have to leave Lampo here. Now we're going to leave soon. If you leave I will personally slap you." G walked off to his room to pack some clothes with Asari not close behind going to his own room.
They were on the plane in under an hour.
Tsuna groaned as he was kicked again. He was being continuously beaten by Mukuro and Daemon for some reason. Maybe it was his face, maybe it was how he never really screamed, just groaned lowly in pain. But whatever it was he was getting hit for it.
He didn't expect Chrome to help because she wanted Mukuro to escape as much as Daemon, but at least talk them in to letting him sleep in peace. She didn't though and he understood as she took too many risks already.
He spit out blood onto the ground beside him. He got yet another punch to his jaw and he was honestly getting tired of those. He already had a black eye, he didn't need his dad fussing over him for a week when he got home.
He let his head fall onto the floor as Chrome came into take watch, letting Mukuro leave the room. Tsuna sighed as he was sure he was safe for now. He was even getting food this time with Chrome.
Chrome smiled lightly as she heard the sigh of relief. She liked Tsuna and she hated seeing him get hurt, but she couldn't go against her uncle just yet.
She sat beside Tsuna and placed the tray with an apple, buttered bread, and apple juice on the ground. Tsuna eyed it slightly weary of it being drugged.
"It's not poisoned, Tsunayoshi. I made sure of it. I'll untie you so you can eat." Chrome said softly as she shifted forward to untie the rope binding Tsuna's bruised wrist behind his back.
He smiled gratefully up at her as he rubbed the wrist to get circulation back in them. He reached out hesitantly, like it would bite him if he didn't, for the bread. It was only one piece but he didn't know what to expect.
"Your father's going to be coming soon." She said lightly as Tsuna took a bite of the bread.
He froze he heard the news. He snapped his head up and over to Chrome. "Is he really?"
"Yes, when you arrested for 'murder'", Chrome air quoted murder. "I was the one who cast illusions to make the police see something else. I waited for your father to find me though as I didn't want to hurt you. I told him to come to Kokuyo land. I think he got the message."
Tsuna blew out a breath. "I hope you don't get in trouble for this. I would hate to hear that you got hurt because of me."
"It's fine. I never agree with Uncle Daemon anyways. I think he might suspect me already. It's only a matter of time before Big Brother or Uncle Daemon spy on us talking."
"Kufufu, how right you are Nagi." Mukuro said as he stepped out of the shadows.
I'm so glad that I finished this. I was hoping to finish it earlier but I had a mild case of writers block for this chapter.
