I'm so sorry I haven't been active recently! I feel terrible keeping you waiting with not only this story but also For Rich or Pooras well ;(

Since it's summer, I'm back with updating every week or so, to make up for my long absence :)

~Chapter 3: Bumping a blue head with pink… and friendship?

"Amy?" Miles questions, making my ears shoot straight up from hearing the name,

Amy.

That name…is that the same girl Silver and Tails were talking about earlier…?

A loud wolf-whistle came from the corner of the café, of course from the seniors, making the pink hedgehog shoot death glares at them,

"Idiots…" The rabbit stated loud enough for the guys to hear, supporting her friend,

I don't blame them for hitting on her either.

As soon as they got to us, the oldest girl ruffled up Cosmo's hair and Miles' bangs a bit. "Hey, hey!"

"I thought you had to be in your Jewelry Designers club at this time," Cosmo pointed out, her voice sounding fainted,

The pink girl, whose name I'm assuming was Amy, just shook her head. "It was cancelled today, unfortunately."

"Oh…"

She soon backed away, "You don't sound like your perky self, Cosmo. What happened?"

The seedrian gave a pitiful look at me and said, "Someone doesn't think we're cool enough for us to be his friend…"

Geez, here we go…

The rabbit pushed her glasses up to her forehead, "And who may that someone be?"

"Me…sort of…" I lifted my hand up a little, sheepishly.

Nice…that was a terrific first impression, dude…especially in front of this Amy,

That's when her eyes gazed upon me and her smile faded, "Hmm?" She stared at me with a confused expression,

I try to smile at her the best way I could, but failed typically at it,

The stare she gave me wasn't really sweet either…

"What do you think you're doing around my friends?"

"Excuse me?"

"My friends! Do you speak English?"

What's her deal? "Obviously I just did! Do you?" I asked with an attitude- which I wasn't intending to,

In a blink of an eye, a hammer appeared out of nowhere in her hand with an instant snap, "Do we have to make this harder then it'll be, Blue one? I advise you to get out!"

"Amy! Please be kind about this!" The rabbit shrilled, shooting her grand ears straight up in fright,

"Hold up!" I got right up and pointed to the hammer, "No need to get violent!"

Before she went any further, Miles separated her from me immediately, "Wait! He's not part of the Wolf gang, Amy!"

"He's not?" she lowered her hammer,

"Not in any shape or form! I'm a hedgehog, clearly!" I announced, backing away from her massive weapon,

"Oh," The pink hedgehog loosened her grip to the handle and settled it against the couch, "I apologize for my actions…um?"

I couldn't help but smirk from her obliviousness, "The name's Sonic."

The hedgehog nodded, "Sonic…" she repeated as if in wonder, "My name is—"

"I'm Cream the Rabbit!" The bunny interrupted, jumping on my back, almost tipping me over. Her nerd glasses managed to fall upon my face in the process,

"Rude much?" The pink hedgehog says sternly and took her friend off my back. I chuckled with having the glasses on me fully now,

But seriously…I felt so cheesy with these on,

I heard fits of giggles and laughter coming from the two young ones, as I turned around to see Cosmo and Miles trying to contain their laughter, leaning against another once they saw me eyeing them,

"With that on your face, how can I stay mad at you?" Cosmo squeaked, still trying to resist letting the rest of her giggles come out,

"What are you trying to say about my glasses?!" Cream exclaimed playfully, snatching the pair from my face and putting them on her own.

She looked better with them on then I probably did…

"ANYWAYS…" The pink girl cut in, "My name is Amy Rose!" she made a sweet smile at me. I stuck my hand out to shake with hers, taking me by surprise when pulling me into a hug instead,

Amazing to see a transformation from a feisty girl to a warm and cuddly one.

…Yet Frightening…

"Aw! How sweet!" Cream cooed, while holding one side of her cheek, "That it's starting to hurt my wisdom tooth!"

Amy just rolled her eyes at her after letting go of me,

"I'm truly sorry I've mistaken you for a member of the Wolf gang," she then started to mess with her quills, nervously, "You see, the gang has members of various species …not just wolfs. Which is ironic for their own name." she laughed,

"And I guess you have trust issues with them?"

"Yep. Especially after they…" Amy paused in her sentence and looked at me, emotionally, and shook her head.

"It's a sensitive topic to talk about with her," Cosmo told me, without giving me a glance up,

"Aw, well…that answers why you were about to kill me in the first place!" I said jokingly, trying to lighten the mood up for her,

Fortunately it worked, as she swatted me by the arm and made a cute laugh,

I just had to smile at her changing attitude.

Not to mention it made her look extremely cute…GAH! Cut it out, man!

Just on time too, Blaze and Silver came back; the cat having a latte in her hand and sipping it gingerly.

Silver spotted the new arrivals and grinned, "Didn't expect to meet you girls here" he says, sitting back down in his spot, not noticing the huge hammer right next to him,

Cream took a seat next to him and started playing with one of Silver's quills, him seeming not to mind, "Knowing this is the spot we usually hang out; we thought most of you would be here, except for Ms. Rouge since she's off today."

"And…why the heck is your hammer out this time, little miss Rose?" Blaze crossed an arm across her chess, sipping her latte again.

"Miscommunication…again," Amy simply says and daggered her eyes to the floor.

"Thought he was part of the Wolf gang, too?"

The pink hedgehog sighed and nodded her head slowly.

"I'm shocked you didn't hear the commotion going on!" Cosmo grinned, widening her eyes with fake fright.

"I don't pay attention to my surroundings…but at the same time I do…if that makes sense?" Blaze then looked up, "Wait, that didn't sound right…"

"Don't worry, I got ya, girly!"

"Okay, good."

None of us said anything for a couple of seconds or so, until Miles asked a question to me out of the blue, "So…Sonic, do you consider us friends now?"

"Huh?"

"You seem like you're having a good time here," Miles began to wag his tails once again, "Besides Amy with her hammer…"

The hedgehog started to blush at the mention of it, "Miscommunication-"

"You really aren't going to let that word go for your excuses, hmm?" Silver teased,

"Quit it!"

"So," Miles looked back at me, "Consider it an invitation of friendship, maybe?" The fox puffed his bottom lip out, using puppy dog eyes to assure me.

I knew this would happen somehow if I were to come with them here!

Then again…they aren't so bad to hang out with.

I mean the kid practically stopped a hot-tempered girl from smashing me with her hammer! And he was the first person I actually meant around here, too,

God…why me?

"You're not gonna quit bothering me until I say 'yes', aren't ya?"

"Nope!"

I sighed, everyone's eyes on me in suspense for an answer. Even Blaze's eyes were on me. "…Alright. We're cool, Miles."

"Uh-uh! For proof you have to say Tails for now on!" Cream protested, taking off her glasses to give me a serious, yet playful look,

"All his friends call him that…" Cosmo said, smirking

"That's right!"

"Fine, Tails, are you happy now?"

"OH FINALLY!" Tails shrieked out which made me jump. While Blaze on the other hand dropped her whole latte on the floor,

Hell.

"TAILS!"

"I'm Sorry! I'm Sorry, honest!"

"You and your damn shrill caused me my beverage!"

"Blaze, calm down…it's just—"

"Shut up!"

"Don't tell me to shut up!"

"Guys! Guys!"

"Seriously, how old are you?!"

"Tails started this mess!"

"Uh. Again, how old are you…?"

"How about you stay outta this!"

"Hey everyone, I got an idea—!"

"Don't make me reach back over there to my hammer!"

"AMY!"

"All of you are pitiful…"

What the actual heck…?

Whilst all of them going at it like a caring-loving-family that you could have ever met, I turned my head around to everybody that was watching us like circus freaks in a show. I had to keep mouthing, "I'm not with them. I'm not with them. I'm not with them…"

And suddenly the entrance opens, wind gusting inside sending chills over my body. What followed was a shadowy figure walking casually inside.

Then everyone stopped arguing and stared at the same direction,

Maybe it was the wind?

I was wrong; it certainly wasn't the wind…

"Shadow!" Amy gasped.

The next chapter will definitely be added in a few days, so don't worry about it being abandoned.
