Chapter 8

Yoshi sat quietly by a lake in the woods, currently in the middle of meditating. During most of his solo travels, Yoshi would mostly take breaks in between to hone his fighting skills. Every so often he was trained by Ryu Hayabusa, a powerful and formidable ninja from the Hayabusa Ninja Clan. Ever since then, his fighting prowess has increased tremendously.

Thanks to Ryu's guidance, he had truly become a more stronger and capable fighter. He was also more in tune with the environment, feeling like he was one with nature. He felt more at home outside than he did anywhere else.

His eyes slowly opened upon sensing a threatening presence coming within his proximity. As a result of his training, Yoshi's senses (notably his Super Sense) had also increased to more ninja-like levels. Standing up from his meditating position, Yoshi began to search the area for the intruder, relying on his vision to scope out his surroundings.

"Someone's here, I know it." he said.

As he continued to look around, he suddenly heard the sound of growling from within the woods somewhere.

"What was that?"

Before he even had the chance to wonder any further, Yoshi was taken by surprise when a monstrous creature lunged out of nowhere and viciously attacked him, knocking him to the ground. Yoshi looked up to find himself confronted by a savage looking, humanoid raptor.

"Riptor, long time no see."

Riptor merely snarled and roared at him.

"What's the matter, can't you talk?"

Yoshi didn't have long to poke fun at him as the monstrous dinosaur started to attack, slashing at him with his deadly claws and snapping with his sharp toothed jaws. Yoshi managed to dodge a few of the blows before countering with a punch to the face.

Shrugging it off, the beastly reptile resumed it's attack. The two soon started to get into a serious fight. Yoshi punched Riptor several times in the face before following up with a jab to the jaw.

But Riptor was just getting started. Yoshi failed to anticipate his next attack as Riptor smacked him with his tail, knocking him through a tree with brute force. Yoshi got back to his feet just as Riptor was lunging at him. When he tried to attack, Riptor pulled a fast one by biting Yoshi's arm, making him yell out in pain. In retaliation, Yoshi nailed him straight in the face with a violent punch from his other hand, forcing him to let go. Yoshi clutched his now bleeding hand tightly, groaning and grunting with pain. But despite this wound, he was still determined to stop Riptor.

Enduring the pain with limited effort, Yoshi got back into action. He began to violently pummel on Riptor with his advanced fighting skills, striking him relentlessly without even stopping. He even went so far as to slam his opponent's head against a boulder to disorient him. Every punch, kick and tail whip he dished out was more brutal than the last. However, Riptor was far from finished as he started fighting more savagely. Before long, the tables were soon turned in his favor as he began to overpower him. Yoshi tried with all his might to fight back, but he was clearly being outmatched by the more deadly Riptor.

The two reptiles continued to duke it out, despite Yoshi getting repeatedly injured. He now had three bloody scratches across his chest, two more on his side, a bite wound on his tail and bruises all over his body. He was coming close to getting exhausted due to his wounds taking their toll on him. In a last ditch effort, Yoshi struck Riptor in the lower jaw with a powerful uppercut, sending him flying backwards through four trees. However, Riptor was not out yet as he rushed straight back and attacked him, wounding him even further when he stabbed him in the leg with the tip of his tail, making him scream in agonizing pain. Riptor then kicked him straight to the ground, pinning him down by his throat with one of his arms. But Yoshi could do nothing to retaliate due to being weak from his wounds.

Riptor stared down at his fallen opponent with hunger, as he had not eaten in days since his last killing spree. Now was his chance to get in a quick kill.

But, right as he tried to deal the finishing blow with a bite to the head, he let out a roar of pain when something sharp struck him in the neck, which a barely concious Yoshi had recognized as a shuriken. Riptor soon roared with pain again as he was struck in the arm by another shuriken, forcing him to let go of Yoshi as he backed away.

Riptor pulled the shurikens out of his body and dropped them on the ground as he looked around the area for whoever it was that attacked him. But he had no time to react when he was stabbed in the eye by a thrown kunai. With one last roar of pain, Riptor went running off.

Seconds after he was gone, another newcomer had approached the wounded Yoshi. He was a ninja who wore some kind of black ninja suit, including a mask which concealed his face, except for his eyes. Attached to his back was a sword which was tucked within a scabbard. It was the legendary ninja, Ryu Hayabusa, Yoshi's friend and mentor.

Seeing Yoshi in such a bad condition, Ryu could not afford to let his protege lay there. Kneeling down, he picked him up off the ground and carried him off to be medically treated for his injuries.

"R-...Ryu...I'm sorry...I failed." he said weakly.

"It's okay, you did well. Don't worry about it." said Ryu.

Later on...

Ryu had brought Yoshi back to his village which was hidden at the base of Mt Fuji. Once there, he left him in the care of his two close friends, Kasumi and Ayane, two kunoichi from the Mugen Tenshin Ninja Clan, with help from Ryu's other protege, Momiji. They took him to his own personal house in the village, where they nursed his injuries while also providing him with food and comfort.

Currently, Yoshi was resting calmly in a warm, cozy bed while Kasumi and Ayane watched over him. Momiji had left earlier to go train with Ryu. The bloody wounds on Yoshi's hand, chest, side, leg and tail were all patched up in surgical tape.

"He looks so peaceful when he's asleep." said Kasumi.

"You only say that because you adore him." said Ayane while rolling her eyes.

"Shh, don't say that out loud."

"What, it's not like he's gonna do anything since he's asleep. You've had the hots for him ever since you met him."

"True, very true. But you didn't need to blurt it out."

"You're gonna have to tell him eventually."

"You do know that I can hear you, right?" asked Yoshi, who had woken up.

"See Ayane, now he's awake because of you."

"Just because I don't have ears, doesn't mean that I can't hear." Yoshi reminded them.

"Sorry for waking you." replied Kasumi.

"It's okay. "

"Well I'm going to head out for some training. I'll just leave you two lovebirds alone." said Ayane.

"AYANE!" screamed Kasumi.

Ayane merely ignored her while walking out, with a small little smirk on her face. After she was gone, Yoshi and Kasumi were all alone, with neither one of them attempting to speak. There was an awkward silence between the two for about at least 4 whole minutes.

All they merely did was stare at each other, face to face. Kasumi shyly pushed a few locks of hair out of her face. She was still trying to find a way to speak up, but being alone in a room with Yoshi seem to make her more and more hesitant.

Before long, Yoshi was the first to speak.

"Kasumi, are you alright?" asked Yoshi curiously.

"Hmm, what was that?" she spoke up.

"I asked if you were alright. Because you looked like you were daydreaming or something."

"Oh don't be silly, I was just thinking about something, that's all." she said sheepishly.

"Well, what were you thinking about?"

"Oh you don't wanna know, it's too silly."

"Kasumi, we've known each other for a long time now. I'm sure that whatever it is, you can tell me."

Kasumi had to admit that Yoshi did have a point. She had known him well ever since they met when Ryu introduced them while training Yoshi at one point. Since then, Yoshi and Kasumi have been more closer than most people had thought. They always shared their most personal thoughts and secrets with each other when in private.

"Are you really sure you wanna know?" she asked.

"Yes Kasumi, just tell me."

"Alright, well here it goes. I was thinking of myself, lying in a flowery meadow, gazing up at the sky, with my significant other right beside me. We'd hold each other, confess our feelings, and share a kiss."

"And who's the significant other?"

"Well, he's really nice. He has a way with words, a sense of humor, he's always respectful and compassionate. His eyes make me smile, and his voice is so soothing."

"And what's his name?"

" Uh, Ihsoy."

"Hmm, very interesting. But there's one thing I've noticed about the name."

"What?"

"It's my name spelled backwards."

"Oh, you caught me."

"Kasumi, is there something you're not telling me?"

"Uh, n-no." she lied.

"Don't try to hide it Kasumi, I know you a lot better than you think. If there's something you want to say, then say it."

Kasumi knew that Yoshi was right. Out of all her friends, he was the most notable one she couldn't fool so easily. She had liked him for so long, and she couldn't keep her feelings bottled up forever. The more she looked at him, the more she hesitated.

"Look, if you feel uncomfortable about it, then you don't have to tell me. I understand if you're too shy to-"

But he was soon taken by surprise when she lunged forward and pressed her lips on his, wrapping her arms around his neck and bringing herself closer to him. Yoshi's eyes were wide with shock at this sudden action from the kunoichi. But the kiss soon ended when Yoshi managed to break away.

"K-k-kasumi, why did you do that?" asked a shocked Yoshi.

She didn't even answer as she moved in and kissed him again, only for Yoshi to hold her back by her arms.

"Stop it Kasumi, what's the matter with you?"

"Yoshi I can't hide it anymore."

"What are you talking about?"

"I love you."

Yoshi was speechless, he didn't even know what else to say. Kasumi, a girl he had known for months, actually confessed her true feelings for him. For as long as they've known each other, Yoshi had never once suspected if Kasumi had a soft spot for him. She was always so secretive and quiet about certain things. But this one secret really threw him for a loop.

"W-what did you just say, Kasumi?"

"I love you Yoshi, I always have. I've wanted to tell you for so long, but I could never find the courage to do it. And whenever I did, I always got nervous and chickened out."

"I guess that would explain why you were blushing so much during the last few times we hung out together. But if you liked me, why did you hold back your feelings?"

"Because I was afraid."

"Afraid of what?"

"Afraid that you might reject me."

"Reject you, why would I do that?"

"Because you always seem so focused on your training that I thought you wouldn't be interested in my feelings."

"Just because I like to train so much doesn't mean I don't care about a girl's feelings. It's just that sometimes I find romance to be very awkward for me, especially when there's a beautiful woman who likes me."

"Oh, I didn't know."

"Kasumi, if you liked me, you should have told me."

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Well then, I'm glad I did." she replied before pushing him down on the bed and climbing on top. She then started to undress herself, beginning with her top.

"K-k-kasumi, why are you taking off your clothes?" he asked feeling uneasy.

"But perhaps you haven't noticed that I'm not exactly in good condition. I've got bandages on me due to being nearly killed by a monstrous raptor." he reminded her.

After finally getting undressed, she chuckled at him in a seductive manner while bringing his face in closer.

"That's okay. I like guys with battle injuries, it really turns me on."

She then brought him into a deep and passionate kiss. Her tongue rubbed at his lips, asking for entrance. She brought him in for another kiss, only this time she made sure not to get too rough so that she wouldn't hurt him. She once again requested entrance into his mouth, brushing her tongue against his lips like before, with Yoshi honoring her request.

"And I'll admit that I was rather impressed with how you lasted so long despite all the pain you were feeling from your wounds." replied Kasumi after catching her breath as well.

"Hey, I've been injured in battle plenty of times before by various enemies. Some of them came close to killing me, but they ultimately failed in the long run."

"Yoshi?"

"Yes?"

"Promise me that you won't tell anyone, I want this night to stay between just the two of us."

"You don't have to worry, this will be our little secret."

Kasumi smiled softly before leaning in to kiss him again. But unbeknownst to them, Kasumi's half sister Ayane was standing outside near one of the windows, having been watching them the whole time. She chuckled to herself as she turned to walk away, smirking with victory.

"Operation: Matchmaker is finally complete." she said.

At last after a long hiatus, Chapter 8 is up and running. Sorry for the long wait, I was having problems with Writer's Block and lack of inspiration.

You were probably surprised that I used Kasumi from the Dead or Alive series. I initially intended to include Ayane in a threesome, but I decided to have it just be a one-on-one lemon. It's not my best work, but at least I tried.

The fight between Yoshi and Riptor from Killer Instinct was just an idea I came up with after seeing the Death Battle on YouTube.

But that's not all, there will be plenty more coming soon. Requests and suggestions are allowed anytime, but try not to get carried away, I won't accept them all.

As a word of advice to some lemon writers, I personally recommend listening to some sexy music while working on a lemon scene, it really helps to set the mood.
