Chapter 2: Unplanned Directions

"I've been robed?"

Teary emerald eyes looked up at the head goblin of Gringotts.

"No…no there must be a mistake I mean…are you even sure I-it was my vault…?"

When the goblin didn't answer her she looked to her friends, hoping she'd get support but instead was met with shocked and sympathetic faces.

She then turned to her Godfather and Remus hoping the same thing but met regretful looks.

"Harry you have to understand, the Ministry is working very hard, trying to find out what happened. I know it might be too much to ask but we need you to be calm. We'll get through this." Remus tried to reason with her but seeing her eyes flash with anger told him it was a lost battle.

"Be clam…?" He flinched at the harshness of her voice. "You want me to be calm? How the HELL am I supposed to be calm when I only have 10 galleons to live off of. I've been robed! I have nothing in my vault and I can't even work for any money because I'm only SIXTEEN!"

"Harry-"

"I'm only sixteen and I've been through a hell of a lot already! The one year I think everything is going to be fine and normal this has to happen. Can I ever catch a goddamn break?" She screamed; her voice cracking at the end.

She didn't even care about the fact that all the Goblins had stopped what they were doing and were now openly staring at her. She kept thinking about all the things that happened to her. An orphan living with her unloving family all through her childhood, she was destined to kill a psycho dark lord, she's seen people die in front of her, she's been hated and made an outcast, and now she's been robed. With that last thought she picked up her stuff and stalked off, not even stopping when she heard her friend calling her.

"Harry please! We can figure this out somehow, don't leave!" Hermione pleaded, catching up with her friend and putting a hand on her shoulder only to have Harry shrugged it off and walk out the door.

Hermione stared after her, with tears running down her face. She turned to the others behind her feeling hopeless for her friend and waited for someone to say something. When nothing was said she ran out the door in hopes of finding her best friend.

"Will she be alright…?" The head goblin asked in fake concern. Sirius sighed in frustration raking his hair with his fingers and ignored the mock concern the Goblin gave.

"Is there anything we could do to help the situation?" He asked the Goblin, hoping for the best.

"I was told to tell you to go to the ministry. Your minister and one of our goblins are discussing the situation in his office. Good day." The goblin briskly turned away and went back to work. Sirius's left eye twitched in irritation at being shut down like that.

"Stupid Goblin…" Sirius muttered with a dark look.

"Really?" Remus snapped at him in annoyance at his behavior. "We need to find Harry before we go to the ministry" He said as he started walking to the door.

"Wait!" Caleb yelled at Remus. "You guys should get going to the ministry, Ginny and I will find Harry and Hermione"

Remus nodded in agreement then looked at Sirius who was still muttering under his breath, staring at the goblins.

"Grow up padfoot, I'm serious." Remus glared at him.

"No Moony, I'm Sir-." He started but cut himself off when he saw the murderous glares of the others.

"Okay okay, I'm sorry… you're right, I do need to grow up a bit don't I?" Sirius said with a Sheepish smile. Remus only rolled his eyes.

"How Nina puts up with you, I'll never know…" Remus mumbled, shaking his head while grabbing Sirius by the arm "Come on let's go."

When the two men left, Caleb turned to Ginny with a confused expression."Who's Nina?"

"Nina…? What are you talking about?" She asked.

"Umm never mind…-"

"Then come on let's go!"

"Wait umm…Ginny can I ask you something….?" He asked with uncertainty.

"Can't it wait? We have to find Hermione and Harry" she said rather quickly, feeling agitated to get going. For a split second she thought she saw disappointment flash in his eyes but as fast as it came, it disappeared. She wondered if she actually saw it or if it was just her imagination. Caleb straightened himself up and then gave her a nod.

"You're right, it can wait...it's not that important...let's go." He said expressionless, as he started walking to the door. Ginny stared after him, wondering why the sudden change of mood. She then shook her head, pushing the thought aside.

'Have to find Harry' she thought.

When they made it outside, they both noticed how dark it has gotten. The sun was barley in up which gave the sky a mix between an orange and a dark purple colour. They knew that they didn't have much time before it becomes completely dark.

"Where to first" Ginny asked, looking at him.

"Well, when Harry's depressed and doesn't want to go home, there are only two places she would go to. One is, Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour, where she would drown herself in chocolate chip ice cream or two, Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes."

"Oh perfect, so you go to Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour and I'll go to my brothers' shop. We'll meet here in, let's say 20 minutes?"

"Okay" He said nonchalant and walked away. Ginny realised he didn't look at her at all since they came outside. Rolling her eyes she then started to walk to her brothers' joke shop.

"First things first, Draco you're going to have to settle."

Blaise was standing in front of his two best friends in Draco's room. He had a chalk board set up with their game plan on how to find Draco the perfect bride. Theo was watching while eating pumpkin tarts, clearly enjoying the situation. Draco on the other hand was not amused.

"Settling is as much as an option as me fucking Dumbledoor." He said rather bluntly.

"Oh believe me, once she has a big arse and stuff, life wouldn't be so hard to enjoy" Theo pointed out, leaning back in his chair and stretching his arms behind his head. Both Draco and Blaise pinched the bridges of their noses' and muttered quietly 'fucking Theo' while shaking their heads.

Blaise then took out his wand and pointed to the top left area of the chalk board and commenced their 'unique' game plan.

"Step 1, you go on a bunch of speed dates with potential brides who meet your top three requirements. I know you Draco so those three things are probably going to be looks, class, and skill."

"What kind of skill?" Theo asked.

"Any kind of remarkable skill, though we'll leave that up to Draco to decided."

He smacked the top middle where it said

"Step 2, you choose your top 3 girls and get more personal with the lovely ladies."

"Get more personal? You mean like shag them?" Theo asked

"No... I mean get to know them"

"Get to know them or get to know them know them." Theo asked while waggling his eyebrows.

"You're full of shit Theo" Blaise sighed.

He then smacked the top right where it said

"Final step is to choose the best girl who fits all your lengthy requirements and marry her before you Father gives you Davis. It's basically like that muggle show the bachelor but...better." He finished coolly with a radiant smile, obviously proud of his work. He put his wand away and looked to his best friends who were giving him looks of disbelief.

"Blaise, you're my best friend and all but if you're going to keep watching these muggle dramas with your mum, I'm going to have to shun you." Theo snickered. Blaise replied with a glare then turned to Draco.

"If you have a better idea then please, go ahead and come out with it." Blaise said to Draco, looking him straight in the eyes.

"It is your life after all"

Flashback

"When I get married, my wife will be nothing less than the best in all aspects. Being a Malfoy entitles greatness after all" said a 12 year old Draco with his little blond head held high.

His two best friends and his dear cousin Caleb were all sitting around outside in the garden at Malfoy Manor discussing what their lifetime partner would be like.

"Mine would have a big arse...yaa I like that" Said Theo, with a dreamy look.

"I think your arse fetish is unhealthy" Caleb commented.

"I think your lack of fetishes is un-slytherin" Theo replied in a matter of fact tone. Caleb raised his hands as sign of surrender.

"Alright, I can live with that. What about you Blaise?"

"I'm kind of afraid to get married. What if my wives start disappearing like all of my mother's husbands? That would be kind of... dreadful" Blaise said innocently. He picked up a shiny rock with different colored spots and toyed with it.

"Although my mother did say that I could marry whoever I see fit, as long as it's not a muggle."

"That's ridiculous." Draco pointed out. "If the girl is not like us, she will taint the family's blood. Pure blood and Mudblood don't mix." Draco sneered bitterly. His thoughts immediately traveled to Hermione Granger which made his face twist into a face of disgust.

Blaise rolled his eyes, knowing that there was no point in arguing with Draco when it comes to old pureblood traditions.

"Whatever works with you Drake."

Theo, who was watching intently, narrowed his eyes and slightly opened his mouth in shock, obviously disappointed with the lack of harsh words being thrown at each other.

"That's it! Come on, I know you have more to say to that Blai-"

He choked and starting coughing after a mysterious pile of grass was shoved into his mouth.

"Now that that's taken care of...you two may carry on." Caleb smirked darkly, pocketing his wand. Draco and Blaise both calmed down and smirked at the dirty blonde boy who was still coughing up grass.

"Look, Draco" Blaise started. "My uncle always said that the best things in life come by surprise. Don't be so much like your father. This is your life." Then he turned and went over to help Theo who was completely red in the face and left Draco to ponder over what he said.

End of Flashback

When 20 minutes past, two very red in the face friends came sprinting from different directions, each going to meet at the front of Gringotts. When they met, they both tried to catch their breath. After a while they were able to wheeze out at the same time "Did you find her…?"

"No" they replied in unison. At this point it has finally become dark outside with only scattered lamps illuminating the alley.

"I thought you said those were the only two spots she goes to when she's depressed." Ginny said feeling frustrated. When she didn't get a response back she smacked Caleb's arm.

"Ow! Geez, they are! Or at least I thought they were..." he said with a sudden uncertainly in his eyes. Ginny rolled her eyes at him and scowled.

"How you made it into slytherin, I'll never know. You act like such a bloody Hufflepuff-" she cut herself off at his sudden closeness. Their noses were almost touching and she could feel his breath on her lips.

"How I made it into slytherin is between the hat and I." He said in a hypnotising soft voice looking straight into her eyes. "But if you really want to know why the hat placed me into slytherin, all you have to do is ask." He whispered, and then walked away from her.

Ginny was getting extremely confused with the blue eyed man. His emotions kept going up and down like a rollercoaster. If it wasn't for the fact that she was rooted to her spot, completely stunned at what just happened she would have confronted him on it. Which lead her to her second confusion, why was she so affected? She didn't get to linger on that thought since someone was calling both him and her from behind.

"Hey guys, a little help here!" Hermione yelled, slowly shuffling towards them as she was carrying another person.

"Who's that with her?" Ginny asked Caleb, as they begun to walk towards Hermione and the other person

"I'm not sure, I can't see her face." He replied.

"Her? How do you know it's a girl?"

"Well I only assume since I see long hair swinging around but don't listen to me, I'm just a Hufflepuff" he said sardonically.

"I found her!" Hermione yelled, before Ginny could respond to Caleb's snide comment.

They then started to sprint towards her and when they got there, they instantly knew something was off when they saw the look on Harry's face.

She looked happy...too happy.

"Hey guys, isn't it a lovely night tonight." Harry slurred and smiled. She then started humming to herself.

"Umm Hermione...what's wrong with her...?" Ginny asked a bit concerned. Caleb smirked, knowing exactly what happened. He turned and faced Hermione with a raised eyebrow. Hermione smiled sheepishly.

"W-well you see, she's kind of...umm-" she paused when Harry stumbled and fell to the ground, giggling mad.

"She's drunk."

Caleb started chuckling and helped Harry up. When Harry stopped giggling she looked into his eyes and smiled again.

"Your eyes are so blue Caleb!" She gushed out. Caleb laughed out loud and Hermione smiled at her friend's drunken state.

"Where did you find her?" Ginny asked Hermione with a small smile on her face as Harry started babbling to herself.

"Knockturn alley"

"WHAT!" Both Ginny and Caleb yelled.

"WHY ARE YOU SWEAMING" Harry yelled, covering her ears in a child like imitation.

"It's okay Harry, they were just shocked" Soothed Hermione, patting Harry's head. She then turned and gave the other two a scornful look which they responded with a mumbled apology.

"Look, I don't know why she went there or how she got drunk. We're just going to have to hear her side of the story when she's sober." Hermione said.

"You know, I always imagined me being the first one to get drunk …"Caleb said thoughtfully.

"Why in the world would you be imagining that?" Ginny asked.

"I don't know why wouldn't you be imagining that?" He answered with a smirk.

Ginny simply rolled her eyes and sighed. "Come on, let's get miss tipsy up. We need to get to the ministry before Remus turns wolf on us." She said as she wrapped one of Harry's arms around her neck. Caleb took the other and Hermione lead the way.

"Where we going…?" Harry slurred again, with a puzzled expression.

"Were going to the ministry of magic to deal with your robbery situation" Hermione answer.

"I've been robed! That's brilliant; I wonder how it feels like." Harry said with a grin and began to hum again.

"So this meeting…it's not that important to the extent that Harry needs to be conscious right…? Caleb asked Hermione.

"Well I would think so since it was her vault that was robbed. Also with goblins there I would think professionalism is required." She answered in a mater-of-fact manner.

"Hermione you do realize that Harry's completely smashed right." He said, as a smirk slowly graced his face.

"Well I was actually hoping that maybe we could do all the talking while she just quietly talks to herself."

"I'm guessing you've never actually seen a drunken person act have you?"

"No…"

Caleb and Ginny looked at each other and started chuckling.

Oh yes, they were definitely in for an interesting meeting.

As they fled into the ministry of magic, there waiting for them was a very angry Remus and beside him was a worried looking Sirius.

"Where were you guys! Did you randomly decide to relax and get a drink at the leaky cauldron or something?" Remus hissed. His hair was extremely disheveled and his face was a bit red from anger."The minister and the goblins have been waiting for an hour!"

"Moony calm down, they probably have a good explanation as to why they were so late." Sirius said and then gave the others a look that said they better had had a good reason.

"We do! The whole entire time we were looking for this chit." Caleb said, lazily indicating to Harry with his hand. She was currently criss-crossing her hair in front of her face and looking around trying to see through it. Remus started at her curiously.

"What's wrong with her…?" he asked slowly, turning to Hermione for yet another explanation.

"Well she's-"She herself cut off when she felt Caleb squeeze her wrist.

"Nothing" Caleb responded, giving Remus his innocent winning smile. "Come on then, let's go. We mustn't keep the great and magnificent minister waiting." He smirked and began to walk towards the elevator. Remus looked back to Harry then to Sirius who shrugged his shoulders at him. The two men then took off and followed Caleb.

"Caleb's quite brilliant isn't he" Ginny said in an impressed voice. "Up you get Harry, come on." She said softly then took one of Harry's arms and put it around her neck again and Hermione took the other.

"And why is he so brilliant, may I ask…?" Hermione questioned with an arched eyebrow.

"Are you telling me you didn't see that play? He distracted Remus with his hypnotizing smile then got him and Sirius to follow him so we can carry Harry without any questions." Ginny explained as they walked towards the elevator. Hermione looked to her red-headed friend with a small smile.

"How on earth did you put that together Ginny…?"

"It was simple actually-"

"Because she likes him" Harry slurred with a smirk. Ginny's eye twitched at the emphasis of like in Harry's voice.

"What do you know Harry; you're drunk as a codger." Ginny said coolly continuing to look forward. Hermione snickering.

"I heard that drunks are bluntly truthful."

"And what would you know 'Mione, you've never seen a drunken person besides Harry in your life." Ginny snapped in frustration causing Hermione to snicker.

"Of course Ginny" She replied just before the three of them entered the elevator with Sirius, Remus and Caleb. When the doors closed Caleb glanced at Ginny who was red in the face and refusing to look at him or anyone else. He then glanced to Hermione who was still snickering to herself. Looking back to Remus and Sirius, all three men shook their heads in confusion then Sirius muttered something about girls.

"Minister for Magic and Support Staff" The automated voice in the elevator called.

"This is us." Remus said and led the way to the Minister's office.

"You know, I've never been on this floor before." Caleb remarked.

"Yes I know. None of you have been here. You have to be invited by the minister himself or work on this level to be here." He replied.

The department itself gave off an intimidating aura. The one way hallway was dimly lit with black carpets and no enchanted windows leaving it dark and sinister. There were many auburn doors along the way which belonged to the other workers. At the end of the hallway was a big mahogany double door which led to the minister's office and at the top of the door had a plaque that read 'In Merlin we follow'.

When they finally got to the double doors, Remus put his wand in front of the light green scanner.

"Remus John Lupin, Half blood...state your purpose."

"I have a meeting with the minister along with Harriet Lily Potter, Sirius Orion Black, Calypso Sirius Black, Hermione Jean Granger, and Ginevra Molly Weasley." It took about half a minute for anything to happen. The scanner was currently going through all the names that were listed, checking for their blood status and involvement in the war.

"Approved, it's the last door on your right."

The double doors beeped then slowly opened. There were four doors in the tiny hallway. They did as they were told and went down to the last door on their right then, Remus knocked. The door was opened by a house elf who bowed slightly and welcomed them into the rather big office. Sitting at the oval shaped conference table was Kingsley Shacklebolt, and a goblin who worked at Gringotts.

"Are wizards usually this late for important meetings or is it just this particular group?" The goblin asked who was wearing a straight face as he arched an eyebrow.

"It's this particular group." Kingsley said with a smile. The group all smiled sheepishly and awkwardly stood there meanwhile Harry was whispering to the house elf, asking if he has ever been robbed and explained how exciting it was.

"Welcome finally please sit down." Kingsley indicated to the empty chairs around the table. When everyone sat down except for Harry, Hermione huffed and pulled her down to the seat across from Kingsely who was looking at her with a somber expression.

"Before we finalize what's to happen, Harry I just want you to know how deeply sorry I am and that I have people hard at work finding out what happened." He said. Harry gave him an over exaggerated nod then giggled which caused the adults to give her a questionable look.

"Ah...she's just trying to...be positive about this despite the loss." Hermione tried to cover up and finished with an innocent smile. Kingsley seemed satisfied with the response and nodded but Remus and Sirius were clearly not buying it. They gave her and Harry one last searching expression before forcing themselves to face Kingsley.

"Well then, we all know why we're here. With Harriet only having I believe 10 galleons left was it?" He looked up to Remus who nodded his head in confirmation then continued. "She needs finical help until she can get a job. Seeing as we can't loan her any money because of the new law, we need another alternative, do any of you have any-" he cut himself off when he saw the position Harry was in and raised an eyebrow.

Harry was sitting in the chair with her feet on the edge of the seat, allowing her arms to rest on her knees and her head to rest on her lap. Seeing his gaze, Hermione quickly made her sit properly and gave him another innocent smile.

"Ah, as I was saying, do any of you have any suggestions? Mister Jaborook has an idea but I thought you may want to share first." He said calmly. Remus opened his mouth to respond but was cut off when Harry started to speak.

"Oh mister shakle- uh, shaky-bottom- no that's not it... Oh! Mister shakle-bottom!" She yelled with a huge grin. She then climbed on top of the table and stood over Kingsley's seated form."Wow, your head is so shinny mister shackle-bottom. I can even see myself on it!" She gushed out, rubbing her hands on his head. Kingsley's eyes widened in alarm.

"Harriet, are you alright...?" He asked uncertainly and looked to the others for an explanation. Remus, Sirius, and Hermione's face were filled with absolute horror while Ginny and Caleb were trying to keep themselves from bursting out laughing.

"I'm excellent. Reeeeally excellent actually thank you mister shackel-bottom." She slurred, with a radiant smile. The goblin, whose name was Jaborook, arched an eyebrow at her.

"But Miss Potter" Mister Jaborook said." I don't understand your cheerfulness. You've just been robed." She crawled over and sat cross leg in front of him then she put her hands on his shoulders and jostled him a bit.

"Isn't it wonderful? You should try it too!" She cheered.

Ginny and Caleb could no longer hold it in. They both burst out laughing at her last comment. Remus, who was still in horror at what was happening, got mad at their sudden loud outburst and slapped the back of Caleb's head. Smiling sheepishly, he rubbed the spot Remus hit with his hand and muttered an apology while Ginny tried to muffle her giggles by biting her lip.

"Harry I don't know what's going on but please get. off. The. Table." Remus hissed still not believing what was happening. Hermione got up and tried to help Harry off the table but the emerald eyed witch batted her hands away.

"Why...? I'm comfortable right here. "She huffed and raised her nose in the air with her arms crossed. She looked like such a child; it was almost as if her mind was replaced with a 5 year old.

"Pup, we know you're upset but we really need to discuss this...so can you please get off the table...please." Sirius asked slowly, making sure he didn't say anything that would upset her.

Harry ignored him and continued to stare down at Mister Jaborook then out of nowhere; she touched his chest with her index finger and put on a serious face.

"You have something on your shirt."

Mister Jaborook gave her an incredulous look and they stared at each other for half a minute. Everyone else in the room was holding their breath in anticipation on what Mister Jaborook would do.

"Aren't ya gonna look?" She raised an eyebrow. He sighed and finally looked down with irritation written on his face, to see what was on his shirt.

That's when a finger flicked his nose with a surprisingly strong force and made him tip over and fall with the chair.

Harry was beside herself with laughter, rolling on the table holding her stomach while everyone else in the room had an expression between absolute horror and amusement.

"HARRIET LILY POTTER! YOU ARE IN BIG TROUBLE WHEN WE GET HOME!" Sirius Yelled, red in the face. Remus was also red but completely shocked as well. Hermione looked scared, thinking that Mister Jaborook would get up and curse Harry at any second while Ginny and Caleb were leaning into each other laughing uncontrollably.

Kingsley and the goblin were discussing quietly to each other when Harry rolled off the table and fell to the ground right in between them. Looking down at her, they both realised she stopped laughing and were shocked when they heard no sound from her. Mister Jaborook finally got up and looked to Sirius and Remus with an infuriated expression

"Never in my life was I ever made a fool. I believe this meeting is over!" He hissed fiercely.

When he left the room, everyone else looked to the unconscious figure on the ground.

"So...anyone want to tell me what in Merlin's pants just happened...?" Kingsley asked, turning his head towards the rest of the group. He didn't look angry but he did look disappointed.

Caleb and Ginny smirked to Hermione whose face was as red as the Gryffindor colors. She was looking down to her hands and nervously shuffling her feet. She definitely was not expecting any of this to happen. She quietly mumbled a response to Kingsely but unfortunately for her no one heard her except for Ginny.

"I'm sorry, what was that?" Ginny taunted, who was purposely trying to make things more difficult.

Hermione then mumbled just a bit louder, enough for Caleb to hear who was beside Ginny. He smirked and nudged Ginny to continue her taunting.

"I do believe you need to speak louder 'Mione"

"HARRY'S DRUNK! THERE I SAID IT!" yelled Hermione, who was completely red in the face and breathing very deeply. She didn't know why both Ginny and Caleb were making it like it was her fault. She found harry like this.

When she saw Harry's godfather's face react to what was said, she quickly regretted yelling out the confession.

Sirius looked absolutely livid. His entire form was shaking with anger while Remus was gaping with wide eyes.

"She's what?" Sirius growled slowly, barring his animagus form teeth.

"How…?" Remus asked, looking like he's just seen Severus Snape naked, which wasn't a pleasant view.

"She's drunk and I don't know what, where, or how, but she is and it's not my fault." Hermione said, directing the last sentence towards Caleb and Ginny who were still smirking.

"We're going home." Sirius seethed and walked away. He was straining himself to be calm, not wanting to cause a scene.

'What in her right mind could make her turn to alcohol as a solution to her problems? Have I not been teaching her properly how to deal with stress? I even bought her a stress ball for god sakes and there she goes, drinking her bloody sorrow away.' Sirius thought grumpily.

In the middle of his inner ranting session, he felt a continuous tap on his shoulder. Just when he was about to bark out obscenities, he turned face to face with Nina Hopkins.

"Remus explained everything to me. Are you alright?" She asked with wide eyes and took his hand and held it to comfort him.

One look into those golden eyes and all the anger dissipated. He relaxed, sighed, and smiled sadly.

"I don't know yet."

"She probably has an explanation. Don't worry too much." She smiled softly.

When they all got home at Grimmauld place' Ginny and Hermione Helped Harriet into bed and went into Caleb's room. It was really late so the girls decided to sleepover. Remus had already said his goodbyes and that he'll be there in the morning.

That left Sirius and Nina all alone in the living room. At least that was what he thought. He and Nina were settled on the couch comfortably, sitting very closely together. He was just about to lean in and kiss her when he heard someone coming in the living room.

"Dad… what's going on?"Caleb raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms.

"Caleb! Umm what are you still doing up?"

"I just came to say goodnight and to ask who the lady sitting rather close to you is."

"Oh! Wow I can't believe I never introduced you guys…um well Caleb this is Nina my…m-my umm-"Sirius took one look into his son's eyes and saw fear flicker through them. He couldn't do it. He just couldn't it.

"My friend"

He felt Nina stiffen beside him. The guilt he felt was really on overload.

"Friend…?"Caleb asked.

"Yes friend...From...Err... Hogwarts. Nina this is my son Calypso"

"It's nice to meet you Calypso." She smiled.

"It's Caleb."

"My apologies, it's nice to meet you Caleb" She answered, maintaining her warm smile.

The awkwardness in the room was so thick, that it could have been cut with a knife. Sirius cleared his throat and looked to Caleb who was staring at him.

"It's getting pretty late." He looked at the clocked and sighed. "We all should be getting to bed." He paused and looked to his girlfriend.

"I'll see you tomorrow Nina?" He asked with hesitation in his voice. Sirius knew she wasn't going to let this pass. She never liked it when people lied.

"We'll see" was all she said. She gave Caleb a curt nod then left the two men alone in the living room.

"It seems to me like you've upset your former classmate." Caleb drawled then continued "My first advice would be to patch things up quickly but seeing that she was just a friend, I guess it doesn't really matter too much right?"

"…Right" Sirius drawled, looking after the floo where the love of his life might have left for good.

He sighed for the hundredth time that day and began to walk out of the living room. As he was leaving, a thought occurred to him. He turned back around and faced his son.

"Was that your slytherin popping out?"

Caleb smirked darkly then walked past his father out of the living room.

"It happens occasionally."
