Chapter 9

Pan breathed in deeply. The air was clean… And, something was in her nose...? She moved her arms carefully, noticing something on them as well. Opening her eyes, she squinted towards the bright light. Why was the room so white...?

Faint beeps caught her attention and she turned her head to see a monitor. She was in the hospital...? Why...?

She reached her hands up, ready to remove the tube from her nose when cold hands stopped her. She looked to see a smiling alien with light green skin and pink hair. Pan blinked slowly as she watched the alien finish checking her.

"Do you-" her voice cracked… She cleared her throat, "do you know why I'm here?"

"You were sick," the nurse replied in a croaky voice. "You seemed to not be getting enough nutrients, and you had a high fever. You're lucky your friend brought you in when he did."

"Friend...?" Pan rubbed her eye. Her brain felt fuzzy… She had a friend?

The nurse looked at her, tilting her head to the side. "Yes, a young man probably not too much older than you. Tall, lavender hair, blue eyes... He was extremely worried about you. Bugged the doctor to tears, and would hardly leave your side. He left just a few minutes ago to get something to eat."

"Trunks-Kun," Pan smiled, remembering him. Of course it would be Trunks, he was her only friend... But, why was she in some sort of alien hospital? Why weren't they on Earth?

The alien smiled, "I guess you know him then?"

"Yes," she nodded. "He's my best friend. But, um... Do you know why we're here? On this planet, why we're not on our own?"

"I'm afraid not," the nurse shook her head. "But, I'm sure he knows… Why don't you ask him when he gets back?"

"Yeah," Pan smiled. "I can do that! Thanks!"

"I'll bring you something to eat," the alien smiled, leaving the room.

###

The nurse stopped just outside of Pan's door, turning to look at Trunks who was leaning against it.

"She's up you know..."

"Yes," he mumbled. "I heard... Can she not remember?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Seems so," the nurse nodded. "It's quite common with high fevers. She should gain it back in no time."

Trunks nodded, deep in thought. If Pan didn't remember why they came to space then she wouldn't remember their fight... He could start all over!

"Are you going in?"

"I will..."

"Are you going to confess to her?"

Trunks' eyes widened as he crossed his arms. "I don't like her like that!" He pouted.

"Sure," the nurse stretched out with a smirk as she walked away.

"Really," Trunks muttered. "No matter what the species women can't mind their own business!"

He let out a big sigh, resting his head on the wall. After sleeping for a solid week, Pan was finally awake! He was beyond the stars happy! When she had fainted it scared him more than anything- even fighting the Androids and Cell. What would he have done if he had lost her...?

But, he didn't… Was this a sign that better things were ahead? Since Pan couldn't remember there was really no reason why he should tell her what happened, right? Things would be like they were before, and they would be happy.

###

Pan looked up at the ceiling and sighed, she was alone now. The silence was daunting- her only comfort was the beeping machines. She frowned as she thought of something the nurse had said… Why would she say Trunks was not much older than her? She was only nine, and Trunks was basically an adult already… Maybe people aged differently here- It was the only solution she could come up with.

She hummed softly looking at her pale hands… They seemed so much bigger, now that she was studying them. She wriggled on the bed, her body felt different… She placed her hands under the covers, touching two rounded mounds. Her eyes widened as she squeezed them...

Just then the door opened slowly and Trunks appeared… He smiled nervously as he made his way to the chair beside the bed. He sat down slowly, keeping his eyes glued to the floor. "Hi..."

She looked up at him with a shocked expression, lifting herself up and causing the sheet to slip down… "Trunks! Look…! I have boobs!" She screeched, looking down at her hands as she rubbed and squeezed herself.

Trunks' head shot up and his breath caught in his throat as he witnessed the scene before him. Kami, she was turning him on, and if she didn't stop he would lose control! Yet, he remained in a daze as he watched her exploring herself… He cleared his throat- just as she pulled the top halfway down, exposing a good portion of her firm breasts- and squeezed his legs together to hide and dampen his throbbing member.

She looked up at him with so much innocence in her eyes, that he felt himself redden with embarrassment at his impure thoughts.

"Are you okay, Trunks?" Her features showing confusion now.

"Err… yeah…" He replied hoarsely. Clearing his throat again to regain his composure. "You should lie down… And, cover yourself… please…" he whispered the last part almost pleadingly.

She did as instructed and smiled at him as if her earlier display was a normal act. "Why are you so red?"

He began fidgeting in his chair before leaning forward with his head in his hands. "It's hot in here…" He mumbled, knowing that she wouldn't pick up on his double meaning… He held his hands over his nose and mouth and breathed loudly. He had to change the subject and fast!

"Oh… You want to open the window?"

"No…" He shook his head, clearing all thoughts as he tried to focus on why they were there… "Pan, are you alright? Do you feel better? You scared me, you know!?" He showed only concern now, glad that awkward moment was over.

"I feel okay, but I don't know what happened… And, why does my voice sound so funny? Why am I so big? I couldn't have grown this much!"

"What do you remember, Pan?"

"Why do you keep calling me Pan?"

"It's your name, you do know your name, right?"

She rolled her eyes, "of course I do, silly… It's just that you always call me Angel…" She whispered with the purity of a child.

He bit his lip… "Well, the nurse said you may have some memory loss, and I wasn't sure how much. So, I decided to call you by your name, you know, to make sure…" He lied… aware of how lame that sounded, but by what he could figure, she thought she was still a child… "How old are you, Pan… I mean, Angel…?" he chuckled.

"I'm nine, silly… Remember, we just had cake on the lookout to celebrate my birthday and leaving the chamber. I was sad though… Because, mama, grandma and Bulma-San couldn't be there." She frowned… "But, now I'm here..." Her eyes scanned the room. "I don't understand, I thought it would take years to build a spaceship... Did Bulma-San have one that we could use? How long was I asleep for? What's going on?! And, why do I have boobs, Trunks!?"
