The unfortunate Altean prince Marth Lowell lied on his bed solemnly as he gazed up at the ceiling. His mind was clouded with thoughts of doubt. A large array of returning and new Smashers had revealed themselves the day before, getting Marth's hopes up that he would make an appearance along with everyone else. Shortly after the confrontation with Greninja at the canyon, Marth performed a thorough search within the midst of the crowd, but much to his dismay, he came out empty-handed, even after the gang had returned to the mansion. He bowed his head for the entire duration of the return trip and silently cried himself to sleep, pondering why he even bothered wishing for the impossible.

When he awoke the following morning, he refused to leave his room, even after Link tried to bribe him with a chocolate muffin that was being served for breakfast.

"Why must this happen to me?" Marth asked himself as soon as Link exited the scene. "They didn't allow Roy in Brawl, and now they're doing this? Why did they even ask me to return?"

He eventually realized that he didn't want to bring himself down any more by dwelling on his doubtful thoughts, so he tried to let his consciousness drift away into sleep, but just as he was about to close his eyes, he heard a commotion coming from the mansion's entrance.

"Oh, hello there! So glad you could-a make it! Please-a come on in!" he heard Mario say.

"Thanks! It's so good to be back!"

"Uh, why do I hear Mario's voice? Where are we? Can I take the blindfold off yet?"

"No, not yet."

Marth gasped as Mario led the two mysterious visitors into the mansion. Those voices sounded so familiar! Was it really them? Was it just his imagination of wishful thinking, or was he still asleep and in the middle of a dream?

"Don't just sit here and think about it," his instincts told him. "Go out there and see for yourself!"

Without wasting a single moment, Marth quickly changed out of his pajamas, brushed his hair, and dashed out of his room and into the foyer with a huge smile on his face.

"No way!" he exclaimed when his eyes gazed upon what stood before him. "You're back!"

What gazed back at him was none other than the indigo-haired mercenary himself: Ike!

Winking, Ike replied, "You bet! And I even- Oof!" He was interrupted when Marth suddenly and swiftly welcomed him with a warm embrace. Ike grinned and returned the favor.

"I didn't think you were coming back!"

"Neither did I!"

"So…What were you saying, Ike?" Marth asked, releasing him from his grip.

As if Marth had replaced the battery in Ike's light bulb of thought, Ike said, "Oh yeah! I brought someone along with me!" He grabbed the blindfolded visitor, who was still unsure of where he was.

"Ike? I still can't see anything."

"Oh, sorry about that!" Ike laughed. "Here, let me take that off for you…" As soon as the blindfold was removed from his face, the world around the visitor was unveiled and became alive. His eyes enlarged as he gazed in awe of the new additions to the Smash Bros. games. There was new Pokémon, a Super Mario Galaxy stage, and new additions to the roster like Little Mac and Mega Man!

"You brought me to the Smash mansion?!" he asked excitedly. "Why did you bring me here?"

"Well, when I received the invitation to return here, Master Hand made sure to let me know to bring you along with me because he wanted to give you another chance. Whether or not you also return for Smash Bros. 3DS and Wii U, he said that you're always welcome here, Roy!"

"Awesome!"

"Roy?" Marth asked himself. "Did I hear that correctly?"

Ike noticed the bewilderment on Marth's face. "You remember Marth, don't you?" he chimed in, motioning towards the prince.

Both the bluenette's and redhead's hearts skipped a beat once they faced each other. This was the first they've seen one another in ages!

"M-Marth?"

"R-Roy?"

At once, the two reunited Fire Emblem representatives from Melee leapt into each other's arms, shedding tears of indescribable joy. Unbeknownst to them, a certain red plumber was watching the entire heartwarming scene.

"Aw! Isn't that-a nice?" Mario sighed happily.

Suddenly, a mysterious voice called out, "Psst! Mario!"

Snapping out of his trance, the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom walked into the long corridor that stretched out towards the bedrooms on the mansion's first floor. He looked around for the owner of the voice, when suddenly, he bumped into an unknown force that seemed to copy his style of attire.

"Mama mia," he gasped, "it looks just like-a me!"

"That's because it's a Mii, Mario!"

Mario turned around to see his brother Luigi.

"What?!" the red plumber exclaimed in confusion. "No, I'm Mario!"

Raising an eyebrow, the plumber clad in green replied, "Mario, don't you get it? It's a Mii!"

"Yeah, I-a know, but who is this?

"I've-a been telling you all along, Mario! It's a Mii! You know…Those Nintendo avatars that you can-a customize however you-a want!"

"So-a what is it-a doing here?"

"Didn't you hear, Mario? Miis are-a new Smash Bros. characters!" Luigi shouted, throwing his arms into the air.

"Mama mia…" Mario murmured, shaking his head. "I-a know this isn't going to turn out well…"

Author Notes: Poor Mario...I wonder just how many people will be using Miis as their mains?
Anyway, hope you enjoyed the seventh chapter! Chapters for Palutena and Pac-Man will be coming up shortly! I also put Roy in here because I may use him for future stories, even though he might not return for Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS...
Also, I have a new poll up! I'm having trouble deciding what story to write after "Enter the Fray" is completed. You can choose Option A) Little Mac grows tired of being a boxer and decides to become a wrestler instead, or B) Pit is given the task of babysitting all the child and animal Smashers. Every vote counts, so please let me know which story you want to see next!
Question: Were you expecting to see Miis, Palutena, and Pac-Man all in one day?
