"October third…One more week," Those were the words that were constantly repeated and heard throughout the Smash Bros. mansion. The amount of waiting time for Super Smash Bros. for 3DS had changed from years to only days in the blink of an eye. Realizing that September was almost over, Master Hand called a house meeting with all the Smashers to give a few final words.

"Everyone, I would like to thank you all for bearing with me through this long and tedious struggle. Soon, we will no longer have to wait to play one of the newest entries of the Smash Bros. series!"

Every one of the Smashers instantly put their hands together in unison in thunderous applause. They whistled and they cheered, for they knew that the revolutionary game starring Nintendo's most iconic characters, plus Mega Man, Sonic and Pac-Man, was going to be released very soon.

"Thank you all for your enthusiasm," Master Hand continued. "Now, I realize that while this fun and engaging fighting game will allow you to duke it out amongst your friends and family, but please don't let this encourage you to actually fight each other in real life…"

Suddenly, a figurative light bulb lit up over Sonic the Hedgehog's head. "Oh, yeah! That's right! I completely forgot about that argument we had, Villager! You better take back what you said about me!"

The youthful child of Animal Crossing glared at him and shook his head. "Not a chance…"

"Now, guys… We don't want to start another feud, do we?" Rock piped in.

"That's correct, Mega Man," Master Hand answered. "That said, if any of you ever have a conflict you need to resolve, you should settle it in Smash! Sorry… I just had to say it!"

The Smashers rolled their eyes as Crazy Hand floated over to his brother and, a-hem, "handed" him a small, gray remote with a giant red button on it.

"Thanks, Crazy. Now pay attention, everyone. You all remember that, just like in the previous Smash Bros. games, there were hidden characters that could be unlocked by fulfilling certain requirements, right? Well, I have a surprise for you!" He pressed the red button and a bright light lit up behind a blue curtain that hung next to the Hands, revealing several silhouettes of characters that were unknown to most of the Smashers.

Crazy Hand added, "These are characters that you will be able to unlock in the new game, and they will also be joining us here in the Smash Bros. mansion!"

The Smashers gave one more rousing round of applause; curiously pondering what other famous faces will take part in the exhilarating scuffles.

"It may be just me, but one of those shadows behind the curtain looks awfully familiar…" Pit remarked.

The Villager suddenly became very excited and antsy, shaking uncontrollably and breathing heavily. Any efforts made by Rock to calm him down were futile.

"OK, Smashers! Brace yourselves!" Master called. "I hope you're all prepared, because things are going to get intense very fast. Get ready, because we're about to…enter the fray!"

Author Notes: Yahoo! This story is finally finished! I hope you all enjoyed reading it as well as I enjoyed writing it. As I upload this chapter, there is only 1 more day until Super Smash Bros. 3DS releases in North America! I'm very excited!
