A/N: No promises on this chapter. I'm trying to get my mojo back since the past like three chapters have been basically filler chapters. I have a good idea of what I want to do with the story for a teensy bit so we'll see where everything goes!
Thank you guys so much for all of your sweet reviews. It means so much that all of you have supported my story for so long, you have no idea. I just hope I can continue to live up to your expectations :)
Disclaimer: Lost Girl and its characters do not belong to me because if it/they did there would be a lot more Valkubus and a lot less Lauren okay cool moving on go read...
"You sure know how to break up a party," Aloysia chuckled darkly as Tamsin held the blade taunt to her neck.
"Yeah, well, that tends to happen when cocky bitches threaten the things I care about," the blonde spat lowly from behind the tall Nixie. Aloysia simply scoffed in return. After a heartbeat's pause, the white-haired girl released the succubus from her hold, kneeing her in the back as she did so as a means of shoving her forward. Aloysia spun around, away from Tamsin's blade and pressed her back against the wooden bar of the Dal.
"You've got quite a pair on you if you think you can take on a Valkyrie and a pissed off succubus single-handedly," Tamsin taunted, taking an offensive stance with the now blue eyed succubus in question.
Aloysia laughed loudly, "Oh please! You're joking right? I've killed scarier things in my sleep. Besides...what's so frightening about Odin's waitress and her whore?" The nixie cocked her head to the side and ticked her tongue, mockingly.
"Hey fish-for-brains," sounded a voice behind the Nixie, causing her to spin around. She was met with a blow to the head that sent her crashing to the ground, unconscious. Kenzi tossed a bat to the side and jumped off of the bar. She landed beside the knocked-out fae, "no one calls my bestie a whore."
Bo grinned at the little human, "Thanks Kenz," she said, shooting her friend a wink.
"Hey, don't thank me. Thank Trick for keeping that bat up here. I guess it's a good thing he has that troll after a–"
"NO!" Everyone turned towards Lorelei – the source of the scream – and followed her widened, horrified eyes to Tamsin who was now standing with a look of pure shock on her face. All eyes fell to the blade protruding from her right shoulder. Bo's heart stopped at the sight and she moved to her Valkyrie's side, not even bothering to look for the attacker.
"Tamsin," the succubus cried in panic, "Tamsin, oh my god."
Before anyone could make any further moves to help the blonde, a cry of pain screeched through the pub as Lorelei vanished into thin air, as she had before, and reappeared behind Tamsin, standing between the wounded Valkyrie and the woman who had delivered the dagger: Valda.
The young fae reached up without any hesitation, curled her fingers around the ruby hanging from the Nixie's neck, and gave one, strong tug. The tarnished chain snapped and the item fell to the floor, rolling to lay beside Aloysia's still-unconscious body. As she did so, Valda began to change. Her hair began to singe and her skin began to crack. It was as if she were drying up after being left in the sun for too long. She raised her arms, examining her hands, and let out a wail of agony before landing at Lorelei's feet. Rune merely watched, emotionless, as the woman who had been a mother to her for the entirety of her life disintegrated into a pile of dust before her.
Lorelei brushed some dust from her boots and turned to crouch beside Tamsin, still bleeding, with the blade poking through the right side of her torso. Dyson was quick to join the growing gathering around the blonde after slashing a big, taloned paw across Asvoria's face, sending her flying across the room, her head connecting solidly with the pool table.
With no further hesitation, Bo wordlessly leant down, pressing her lips to Tamsin's gently and breathed a thick stream of shining orange chi into her lover. As she did so, Lorelei grew impatient and yanked the offensive object from the blonde's body, eliciting a pained groan from the Valkyrie but allowing the wound to heal quicker than if it had been left.
Tamsin felt her muscles bonding together and the mending of her skin on her shoulder. The bleeding had stopped and she was almost completely healed. She knew she no longer needed the chi but she enjoyed the feeling of it and let Bo continue a moment longer before pressing her palm against the brunette's chest to stop the transfer.
The succubus breathed a sigh of relief as she roughly pulled the Valkyrie into an unforgiving embrace. Tamsin chuckled lightly and returned the affection, wrapping her arms around Bo's waist and burying her face into the brunette's neck.
"Don't you ever scare me like that again, do you hear me," Bo said breathily into Tamsin's shoulder before pulling back and pressing her lips hard against the blonde's, who let their kiss linger for a moment before breaking it. She gazed into the succubus' eyes with a small smile.
"I'm fine, Bo, thanks to you," she said, brushing a stray lock of hair from the woman's face and tucking it behind her ear. She suddenly felt a pair of tiny arms tighten around her torso from behind. She laughed lightly as Lorelei, unable to restrain herself any longer, threw herself at the Valkyrie.
"Tam Tam I was so scared," the little fae muttered against Tamsin's back, "I saw Val hurt you and I thought you were dead and I-I-"
"Hey, shhh," Tamsin pulled the girl around and wedged her in between her own body and Bo's, hugging her tightly. "It's okay, Rune. I'm not going anywhere, okay? Remember that, I'm not leaving you. I promised I wouldn't, didn't I?"
Lorelei nodded softly before nuzzling against Tamsin's blood-stained chest, "I didn't want to lose another mama..."
Tamsin and Bo locked eyes for a moment. The blonde was speechless upon hearing this so Bo took over, "Well, you don't have to worry about that anymore okay, Lor-"
"Bo..." Lauren's voice shook from the Dal's entrance. While everyone else had been distracted by Tamsin's incident, Asvoria had risen from her place under the pool table and snatched ahold of the human doctor, now holding a knife to her throat and walking backwards across the room.
"Now...what do y'say we settle this like big kids, yeah," the ginger spoke maliciously as she pressed her back against the door of the pub, pushing it open and began backing out of the building, the doctor in tow, "bring Aloysia back to us alive…..and you may just get your human back in one piece." With that, she was gone, Lauren with her.
"Lauren," Bo breathed as Dyson chased after the pair. He returned moments later, frantic.
"They're gone. There's no scent either, I-I can't get anything, it's like they just disappeared," the wolf called across the room.
"How the hell are we supposed to know where to find them," Kenzi squeaked, panic rising in her as well. As much as the doctor drove her nuts, she knew Bo valued her friendship so she at least cared about the doc's heartbeat.
"I know where they are," Tamsin spoke from the floor, eyes glued to Aloysia's unmoving form.
A/N: Short chapter, I know, I'm sorry. BUT I needed something to write for next time so...
I got put on a home bound program for school today so I will be able to update much more frequently than I have been! Sorry if this chapter is kind of lame, I tried. Also, I had a lot of you wanting Rune to call Bo and Tamsin 'mom' so I kind of incorporated that a bit with this one. I hope it wasn't a disappointment! As always, your reviews are beautiful my loves! Thank you for reading, especially to those who have been reading from the beginning, I love you I love you I love you! Mwah!
