Chapter 5: Swim Club and a Vampire

AN Part 1: Alright. So, it's been a while. Hasn't it? I know not many of you care about this, and that's fine. But for those of you who do care, well, here's a new chapter. Now, a few things before I start.

1: I'm changing the format a bit for how I write this to match my recent stories. Aka: Thoughts, Inner Moka Speak, Regular speak and dialogue.

2: I am going to change a couple things regarding John's scythe form. One being that in place of the red on the scythe, it should be green. And the red eye is changed to be John's natural Eye color. Blue.

I think that's it for now. So, for those of you who have been waiting for this. Here's the newest chapter!

John POV

"Alright everyone! Today is the day that you all join a club!" Exclaims Ms. Nekenome to the class. I immediately hear giggling and turn around to see Tsukune bent over his desk with a smile on his face. I roll my eyes at the scene.

Probably imagining that soccer goal with him and Moka talking afterwards scene again. I think to myself as I turn back around to face the front of the room.

"The objective at this academy is to prepare monsters to adapt to human society." Ms. Nekenome reminds us. "In these different clubs, you'll learn to act just like normal humans, appreciate arts they've developed, and deepen your understanding of the human culture. Now," She continues. "In order for your transformation to the human form to be perfect, you have to have a firm grasp of humans themselves." She tells us. I chuckle softly at this.

Heh, I'm pretty much human myself, so I don't have much to worry about. I think to myself. The reason I say mostly, is because of the whole "I have super powers" thing. Then Ms. Nekenome continues with her speech.

"And always remember this. You must never reveal your monster form no matter what." She reminds us. One student raises his hand after she says this, and I blanch.

Dude… Put. Your. Hand. Down. You know full well what she's gonna do to y- I don't get to finish my thought as Ms. Nekenome calls on him. He then proceeds to tell her about her tail, which was curled slightly out of her view this entire time. Her response is to unsheathe her claws, and scratch claw marks into his face. I shake my head at his stupidity. Obviously, he'd been absent the day another student made the same mistake. God damn it. I think.

Once class is over me, Tsukune, Kurumu, and Moka all go out to look for a club to join. "Holy shit." I say, turning around in a circle to look at all the different club booths that are spread about the pathway leading towards the school. Tsukune also takes a look around.

"Yeah. There sure are a lot of clubs to choose from." He says.

"Hey I've got a good idea," Begins Moka as she grabs onto Tsukune's arm and starts to pull him away. "Why don't we join the same club?" She asks. But before waiting for an answer, they're running about looking at all the different clubs. Me and Kurumu just tag along, smirking at one another as Tsukune blushes furiously, watching as Moka clings onto him every time the people behind a club booth try and get them to join a "scary" looking club. The Mummy Club was the funniest reaction though. She acted almost exactly like Scooby-Doo and jumped right into Tsukune's arms as if he were Shaggy. At that point I couldn't hold it in any longer and just busted out laughing. The others looked at me in confusion and I had to explain it to them. After they'd been told though, they giggled a bit along with me.

Finally, we notice a club where there are a ton of guys crowding around a group of girls standing in front of a booth wearing nothing but bikinis. I just stare at them for a few seconds, before looking at the ground and shake my head. At least Kurumu has the decency to wear clothes. Although… I trail off and shoot her a glance. I feel like if we were left alone for long enough… Things would get interesting to say the least.

"Chicks in bikinis!" Exclaims one of the guys in the crowd.

"And every single one of them is a hotty!" Exclaims another.

Well, at least the swimming club seems to be normal. I think to myself. Though… With how this is a school for monsters, I guess that since it seems normal, it'll be the least normal.

"At the moment, there aren't any boys in our club. So any fellas who join up now are likely to get a lot of personalized service from us." The leader of the club says, and then blows a kiss into the crowd. I just look back down towards the ground and shake my head again.

God damn it. That could be taken a multitude of ways and she knows it too. I think, and then look up when Tsukune says something.

"I think we've found a winner Moka." He tells her. I hear her go 'Eh?!' and look at him with surprise. "I used to do soccer- I mean. I used to take swimming lessons at one point." He tells her. I remember him telling me once about that, before I see him about to go all kissy face and decide that the best way to stop him from embarrassment would be to smack him upside the head. He rubs at it and turns around to look at me with annoyance.

"You were about to express your daydream in real life lover-boy." I whisper so that no one else would hear. He blushes a deep red, and then turns around when Moka says his name.

"Tsukune… You see. I… I can't." She starts to tell the raven haired teen in question. While Tsukune is completely confused by this, I start to think about all the "myths" I'd heard about vampires. But before I can think of anything other than garlic and a wooden stake, a new voice speaks up.

"Well. It doesn't seem like your girlfriend is too interested. Why don't you join us anyways?" The girl in charge of the swim club says to him. "I promise that I'll take real good care of you. What do you say?" She asks Tsukune. While the raven haired teen stutters to form a response, Moka looks on in annoyance, and I share a glance with Kurumu. While Moka exclaims that both of them would be joining, I notice the wink that Kurumu sends me as she walks over to sign up.

Why am I getting a bad feeling about this? I ask myself as Kurumu proceeds to write in our names. Then again, I could use a tan. I think to myself, looking down at my Caucasian skin that had hardly seen any light due to my hobby of writing stories, as well as playing video games and watching anime. With all this going on, I never really went outside to do much of anything besides walk from the bus, to the school. And then from the school to the bus to go back home. Not soon after we were all signed up, I head off back to my room to grab swim trunks. They were colored blue, with a single white stripe each going down from the top to the bottom on the left and right. I was glad that it stated in the brochure that they had a pool. Otherwise I would have had to buy a swimsuit at the school store. On my way to said pool, I notice Moka running off in a different direction while her eyes were wide. "Moka?" I ask as she passes by. But she doesn't respond and just keeps running. I look after her, realizing that she most likely needed her time alone right now for some reason. I just sigh, and continue walking to the pool. After I arrive, I place a couple things that I brought, such as my towel and a book, down at a chair, and then dive into the water.

After a couple minutes of just swimming around while other teen boys shamelessly request non-needed help from the female swim instructors, I go back over to the chair that I had placed my things on. Just as I get in front of it, I feel arms wrap their way around my chest. I freeze up, and turn my head to see who it is. Unsurprisingly, it's Kurumu. And she's smirking at me. "Hi there John." She greets with a smile, while pushing her bikini-clad breasts into my back.

"H-h-hi Kurumu." I stutter out, being completely distracted by her yellow clad two piece bikini being pushed into my back. Which she immediately takes notice of.

"Oh? Do you like it?" She asks me, placing one arm underneath her breasts to slightly raise them, while her other arm goes up to the back of her head. Making a pose in front of me and immediately making me blush a deep red color. She just giggles at my reaction, before walking closer to me and pushing me onto the chair. Before she then proceeds to straddle my lap, and grin down at me. At this point, my brain has officially turned to mush, much like it does every time my girlfriend is around, and it only starts to function again when part of her bra comes undone and dips down. Giving me a more clear view of her cleavage. The reason this makes my brain function again? We're in public.

I immediately grab the straps again and tie it behind her neck, causing her to look at me in shock. I sigh, before looking her in the eyes. "Kurumu. I can tell when you want to seduce me. I'd be lying if I said that I didn't like it as well." I tell her with a light blush, getting a triumphant smirk from her in return. "However. As much as I like that, I'm not so sure it would be a good idea for it in public." I tell her, gesturing to all the people walking about. She looks around, before blushing a slight pink when she realizes just what I was talking about. Then I hear a couple voices.

"Aw man. We were so close." One says, which happened to be right next to my seat.

"Don't worry. I'm sure that it'll happen soon enough." Replies another. I feel a tic-mark appear on my head, and turn in the direction of the voices to see a trio standing at the gate surrounding the pool. When they catch me staring at them, they freeze up with wide eyes. I glare at them before speaking.

"I would suggest that you three not ogle at my girlfriend. I'd also suggest that you leave before I decide to leave you with more than just a warning." I threaten them, making them go running away. When I turn back to Kurumu, I see her smiling at me. I return the smile, before shaking my head. "God. Even after it's obvious that we're together, the other boys still try to make a move on you." I sigh out. She just giggles, before poking me playfully.

"Well, when they do, they just have to learn the hard way that I'm already taken. Don't they?" She asks me. I smile in response, before frowning a bit.

"We really need to go searching for a way to make it so that I can kiss you without worrying about becoming your eternal slave." I tell her. She follows my frown, before smiling sadly and kissing my cheek.

"Yeah. But we will. And when we do…" She trails off, but gives me a smirk that gives thousands of promises. Some of which make me smile on the inside, and some of which cause me to blush a bright red on the outside. Which she takes notice of and giggles some more.

Not long after mine and Kurumu's talk, there was an obstacle course that all the girls ended up going through. While most of the boys shamelessly ogled at the girls as many of their bras snapped, I made sure to only watch as Kurumu went through it. The last thing that I needed was for Kurumu to think that I was gonna cheat on her, and rip me to shreds with her nail-claws. I also made sure to keep watch in case her bra snapped off. Not in the way you're thinking of perverts! Just to make sure that if they did… I could smack some sense into anyone who began ogling at them. Turns out that it did, though not in the way I expected. Yukari actually ended up taking it off at the end of the water joust. Needless to say, I was gonna have a talk with her afterwards.

Man. Did they have to get into a rivalry simply because of their breast sizes? I ask myself incredulously. And why does she have to indirectly involve me in this by doing that? I just shake my head, and wait for the two of them to exit the water and walk back over to me. When they arrive, Kurumu has her bra back on, and is glaring at Yukari, while the smaller girl sticks her tongue out at my girlfriend. "Yukari…" I trail off, letting her turn towards me.

"Oh, hey John!" She exclaims. But stops being cheerful when she notices the slight glare I'm giving her.

"Mind telling me just why it is that you took off my girlfriend's bra in front of hundreds of guys?" I ask her. My voice quiet, but not soft.

"Well… You see…" She starts, only for me to hold up my hand.

"On second thought, I don't need an explanation. I know about your whole rivalry over your breast sizes. Not that I can say that I understand it, but when it comes to things like that, don't do it. Kurumu is my girlfriend. So when things like that happen, the one responsible would usually be down on the ground, or left in the nurse's office." At this, Yukari stares up at me with wide eyes, while Kurumu is smiling at me for the fact that I'd do that. "Lucky for you, you're my friend. So therefore, I'm gonna leave you off with a warning. Although, if you do it again, nothing too serious would happen to you." I tell her. Getting a nod from the small witch in return. Then we hear shouts come from the water.

The three of us turn towards the sound, and see all the swim instructors biting into the men swimming… Wait, they're biting them?! And not in the whole "Hicki" kind of way either. No. The kind of bites that they're giving the men are the kind where they have sharp pointy teeth that are penetrating skin, and make the guys that they're biting look like they haven't eaten in months. Then, the usual bat flies up in front of me, telling me about how the girls are actually mermaids, and that they usually entail destruction at sea. I gasp with mock horror. "Ariel! What have they done to you?! Oh the horror!" I exclaim. The two girls to my sides look at me in confusion, while the mermaids look at me in anger.

"You son of a bitch! Don't even compare us to that animated disgrace!" One of them yells out. I just smirk in response.

"Alright…" I tell her, growing green scythe blades out of my arms, just below the elbow. "How about I compare you to sushi then?" I ask with a grin. The mermaids back off a bit, and we all jump into the water to make our way towards the one boy who hasn't been bit yet. Tsukune. I smile at the mermaids that turn to face me, and start to swing my scythe blades at them. I make sure that as I do so, I don't kill them. No matter how much they might deserve it. So instead, I cut their arms, stomachs, and back. A few moments later though, Moka shows up… And jumps into the water.

Almost immediately, the water around her begins to spark. That's when it hits me. Shit! Water is purifying to vampires! I shout to myself in my head. I manage to knock out the last few mermaids surrounding me by punching them in their heads, before noticing Tsukune trying to break free of the lead mermaid. I take my free opportunity, and put said mermaid into a full nelson. Freeing Tsukune in the process. "Tsukune! Get your ass over there and help out Moka. Water is purifying to vampires!" I shout out to him.

"R-right!" He replies, diving down into the water towards Moka. The mermaid that I'm holding manages to free herself, but not before the sun turns into the moon, and the sky, and pool by extension, turns red. A few moments later, a whirlpool forms where Moka sank. Then, a light erupts outwards and water is shot outwards in a circular wave. In the middle of said light, Inner Moka stands glaring at the lead mermaid.

"Now Listen. You've been nothing but a giant pain in my ass." Inner Moka tells her. The lead mermaid recoils slightly.

"I never expected this… She's so powerful." She says nervously. Before smirking. "But she's still a vampire." Then, she lifts herself up on her mermaid tail, and begins splashing Moka with water. "Drink this!" She exclaims, the rest of the mermaids also joining in. Unfortunately, catching me in the crossfire as well.

"Drink it1 Drink it! Drink it!" They continuously shout. Moka holds up her arms to partially shield herself, while I feel a growing pain in my chest. Finally, Kurumu and Yukari attack the mermaids, stopping the splashing with the former yelling out "Drink it yourselves you bitches!" But not before the pain in my chest escalates. Causing me to yell out in pain, before staggering in the water a bit.

"I don't need your help." Inner Moka tells them, only for Kurumu to send her a slight glare.

"Look we're helping you cause you're weak in water. So swallow your pride and deal with it." Kurumu tells her. And then notices my staggering. "John? What's going on?" She asks. At this point, the pain recedes until it's nothing more than a headache. Although, I try to think about what could have caused it while the lead mermaid speaks up.

"You look awful. And you're sparking like crazy. I imagine you're in quite a bit of pain right now. Stop pretending it doesn't hurt and admit you've lost." She tells Moka. Who then proceeds to insult her by calling her a minnow. "Vampires are weak in water. But for a mermaid, the water is home territory for me. There's no chance in hell you can win here!"

"Well then how about I help out with that!" I shout out, getting everyone's attention besides the mermaid. I raise my hand, and point it at the water. A couple of seconds later, said water begins to circle in on itself, before a giant ball made of water forms. The mermaid being sucked into it as well. Finally, all the water in the poll forms into the giant ball of water, and I nod to Moka. She nods back, before using the now water-free ground to run towards the ball of water.

"I think it's time for you to know your place!" She exclaims, landing a kick on the stationary mermaid's stomach, and sending her flying into a net on the side of the pool.

"Dammit. How could they defeat me so easily?" She asks, just before the bat flies up.

"This chapter's fight took a whopping 85 seconds to complete. Wheeee!" He exclaims as the mermaid loses consciousness. I smirk as I make my way over towards Kurumu and Yukari while Tsukune makes his way towards Moka.

"Nice job there you two. Nice to know you can at least get together when it counts." I tell them, getting smiles in return. Just before we whip our heads around at the loud slapping sound that resounds through the air. Watching as Inner Moka berates Tsukune about how he only worries about himself, before she goes stalking off. Kurumu and me share a frowning glance, before we go walking off. Placing comforting hands on Tsukune's shoulders as we pass by him. Me and Kurumu hug each other before we separate, myself blushing a bright red as she makes sure to press her body against mine as much as she can, and then go off to our respective dorms.

The next day, Moka didn't show up to our class. And in true irony, Ms. Nekenome taught us about mermaids. Then, later on in the day, our little group joined the newspaper club. As it turned out, we are gonna be the only ones in it. Though, the happy smile on Ms. Nekenome's face and the fact that she did a cannon ball into the pool to celebrate made me smile. Though, I did also smirk a bit when Moka bit Tsukune as her own celebration. Needless to say, me and Kurumu snickered. We may have gotten used to it, but that didn't mean it wasn't funny every time.

AN Part 2:

Bob: Alright, a bit of a short chapter here. Why is that you might ask? Well, because most of the episode here was centered around either Tsukune or Moka being alone at the time. That, as well as a good quarter of the episode being taken up by the women activities in the pool. So, I had to come up with scenarios that John would be a part of, in place of the scenes with Moka or Tsukune being alone. And I wasn't about to go and completely re-write the pool activities scene. If you want to see that, simply re-watch the episode.

John: Hey, why is it that me and Kurumu can't actually kiss yet? I would think you would focus on that so that you can actually advance our relationship.

Bob: Well don't blame me! Blame school, then the three week camping trip, then my brother having friends over, then the other camping trip that we went on, as well as my ADD brain for coming up with all sorts of other fanfictions!

John: *Grumble*

Bob: That's what I thought. Again readers, sorry about the long-ass wait for this chapter, but thanks for reading, and hope to see you next time!

P.s. Alright, a quick note here at the end. After Re-Reading this over, I may end up doing a Re-Write of this story at some point. Simply because with the power that I've given John, he can be a bit OP, and thus a Gary-Tsu. So, I will most likely keep this one up on Fanfiction, but start on a different one where John will be slightly different. The story line will be the same, where Tsukune is still in it, as well as John being paired with Kurumu. I just thought I'd let you guys know so that you don't wonder what happened to this story. The only reason that this chapter is up is because almost half of it was already written in my computer, and I didn't want to leave it just sitting. So, the next chapter might be a new one, or an update saying that I've uploaded a Re-Write.
