Disclaimer: If I own FT, then Juvia and Gray would be official already. However, unfortunately, Mashima doesn't want to make it happen yet.

Everything happened too fast. One moment they were happily celebrate their win, then the next she heard a loud blast. By the time she turned back to where Gray rushed to, all she saw was Gray stumbling and fell to the ground. It all happened in a slow motion. Gray stumbled and fell while turning to look at Juvia. Juvia turned cold and frozen with wide opened eyes.

Juvia's POV:

Gray-sama! Juvia shouted, but how come no sound is coming out of her mouth? She saw Gray-sama falling to the ground with blood on his stomach. A lot of blood. Everything seemed red; Gray-sama, his shirt, his hands that tried to cover his bloody wound, and the ground that filled with his dripping blood. In the far distance, there was a man, probably dead from Gray-sama's cannon, lying on the ground unmoving. Juvia is still frozen; Gray-sama is lying on the ground with blood everywhere. By the time Juvia pulled herself from her trance, which seemed like eternity, Gray-sama seemed like he had difficulty breathing and had even loud, uneven breath.

"Gray-sama!" This time she found her voice and shouted his name while kneeling down to cradle him with care. His body seemed fragile; the muscular strong body for once seemed really fragile and that it would break at any time. Tears dripped down Juvia's cheeks, "Gray-sama!" Drip drip drop. Tears dropped one by one from her eyes and rolled down her cheeks and eventually rolled their way down toward Gray's shirt. His bloody shirt. Juvia was hugging Gray-sama's body, heat was running out of his body by the second. "Gray-sama!" Juvia couldn't do anything but cry. She is useless after all. Gray-sama lifted one of his hands to touch Juvia's cheek and made his way to wipe her tears. With his blood and all marked on her cheek, but Juvia could care less. The love of her life, dying in front of her while trying to protect her. "Gray-sama, Juvia is sorry," she said while still crying.

Gray's POV:

I put my hand on Juvia's cheek in an attempt to wipe her tears away. Juvia is crying once again. My Juvia is crying because of me again. She put her hand on mine and kept it there on the side of cheek.

"Gray-sama, Juvia is sorry," she said. It was nice to hear the words Gray-sama out of her mouth again. I have missed it every single day. I just looked into her eyes with many words I wanted to tell her. It might be the last time.

"I…love…you," my voice came out in a whisper as I struggled to speak. The wound stings every breath I took. Juvia only cried harder after hearing this. It hurts; my heart crumbled to see her crying face. "I…love…you," and yet I said it again, wanting her to hear it loud and clear. Juvia cried harder and squeezed her hand on mine , still on the side of her cheeks.

"Gray-sama," with tears in her eyes, dripping down, she took my hand and kissed it with her eye closed. "Juvia knows, Juvia is sorry. This should have been her." As she talked, the cloud started gathering together, covering the sun. The sky suddenly became dark; tiny rain drops fell from the sky. "It should be her, not Gray-sama."

"No… Juvia, my..turn…protect…those…I…love," I struggled to tell her. All my life, people have been protecting me. My parents, Ur, even Fairy Tail. I would not stand still to see another loved one taken away from me. Not anyone, not Juvia.

Pinky Berry's Note: Okay, I know what you're all thinking: About damn time that you write some update! I am so sorry, but recently I just lost the feel and inspiration to write these. Not because Gruvia ain't cool. You kidding me? I FREAKING LOVE THEM AND I HOPE THEY'RE TOGETHER ALREADY! But somehow, I just couldn't write sad convincing plot anymore. That is either because I'm not depressed anymore and I can't seem to be able to put that feeling into writing anymore, or this story is getting too long and I have to wrap it up. Anyways, I think I will try to end it within the next one or two chapters. And I know... Gray saying "I love you" as his dying phrase is too cliche.. but I really tried to wreck my brain out to think of other ways to convince Juvia's stubbornness.
