6. It Wouldn't Be Long Now
It wouldn't be too long now.
He could see it,
in the not so distant future:
the open gate
that they'd dreamt about
for far too long
But it wouldn't be too long now.
The gate would open soon.
The preparations were in place
and the time upon them.
The gate would open on the ground
where he could walk to it…
And then
the dream they'd shared so long
would come true.
It wouldn't be long now.
Just a few more days, if that.
Not long.
