Hello once again! It's the holidays! Which might mean more chapters! :) This chapter is all about day 1 out of 2 for the official disband. Mainly going to be focusing on Lilac here. Anyways...

Chapter 9

I wake with loud buzzes of chattering in my ears. I try to go back to sleep but a paw prods my shoulder, forcing me awake.

I groggily sit up and give a yawn. In front of me, is Tigerlily. Followed by Snake, Fog and Reed.

"Hmm? What's happening?" I turn my head around, looking for suspicious activity

"Nothing really." Snake spoke bluntly with his eyes darting around the pavement

"Well, unless you count day two of sudden than that, nothing I guess." Fog didn't really speak out much but her tail was twitching so I guess she was a bit annoyed

Reed bounded forward, slightly shoving Tigerlily out of the way.

"We're going hunting. Want to come?" Reed seemed quite energetic, even due to our current state

I whipped my head around the alley. Most cats were out and about except for Honey, Fallow and River, who were lazily lying around.

"Sure. I guess." I shrugged and padded after Snake who was already making his way out

All five of us decided to go to the south side to try our luck at Sunset had one of the most amount of territory so they had the best pieces of fresh-kill in twolegplace. Every morning, there were plenty of birds and in the evening, there were always mice and rats. There were also the rare occasions where Sunset had rabbits that strayed beyond the wire twoleg fence. The prey were mainly from the forest, outside of twolegplace.

"So what kind of prey are we aiming for?" Tigerlily asked the rest of the group

Snake shrugged.

"What about birds?" Fog answered softly

"Why not rabbits? How about a rabbit! Would you guys like that? Huh? Huh?" Reed always got a bit hyper on the south side, who knows why

Snake sighed

"Let's get this over with. I have things to do." Snake marched forward

Tigerlily rolled her eyes.

A few moments later, Fog spotted and caught a finch.

"It's kind of small." Tigerlily sniffed the fresh-kill

"Better than nothing." Reed seemed cheery, as always

I was wondering why these cats were so picky about the bird. Then I remembered that we need to be full fed when we all leave Ravensoul. I still haven't decided where I would want to go. Crescentmoon was an option I was wondering about. They were a big and strong pack. They would be happy to welcome anybody, but maybe it's not a good enough option. Sunset on the other hand, was not as strong as Crescentmoon and Rogue was quite the lax and laid back leader. Not exactly meant to be threatening. If I went into the forest, who knows what I might find.

A twig snap brought me out of my thoughts.

I scanned around. Twoleg items scattered the ground and a few bushes and trees were placed at random.

Snake was no longer with the group. Perhaps he sneaked off on his own.

Fog and Tigerlily's tail were under a couple of bushes.

Suddenly, Tigerlily's tail sprung out of sight from the bottom of the bush.

A few heartbeats later, Fog's tail also left my sight. Strange, or maybe it was just me.

I looked around for Reed but she was also not there.

I padded forward slowly into the bushes.

On the other side was a bunch of Sunset cats.

Not good.

Tigerlily, Fog and Snake had already confronted the patrol. I walked up behind them.

"So I hear you guys are disbanding, hm?" A calico she-cat asked with a smug look

"Yeah, what about it?" Snake instantly said defensively

"Calm down. We were just wondering where you guys might be going after tomorrow?" A red tom stood forward

Fog flinched a bit.

Snake just narrowed his eyes.

The conversation with the Sunset cats ended quickly but they did tell us that there were four other groups of cats way beyond the forest. They said that they called themselves warriors and live in clans. They all had leaders and fighters, just like us. I thought it over and perhaps it wasn't such a bad idea. I mean, they sounded to be living under an order that held the peace. Life sounded similar to ours, just a few days ago. Maybe I would take the chance to see what these cats are about.

As we returned to the alleyway, conversation flooded the pack.

"Where will you be going?"

"Sunset seems nice enough."

"Have you heard about rogue life before?"

All the third tier cats were up and about, deciding who to go with.

"Should we go with Hound and Burnt? Or maybe we can go with Creek."

"I heard Creek was going with Fog and Mouse. What about Rock?"

"Rock? He wanted to go to Sunset."

All the mouths in the pack were busy chatting away while I wanted to find some food. I hadn't eaten very well since after Blossom's threat. The thought of her ruling my friends made me sick.

I made my way over to the pile of fresh-kill. My tail was swishing lazily on the ground.

I decided to go with a pigeon. Walking back to my crate, I hear pawsteps behind me. I turn to find Phantom and Reed.

"Mind if we join you?" Phantom asked with his mouth full of mouse

I nudge my head, signalling for them to follow.

As we sit down to feast, Phantom starts chatting away his worries.

"Where are you going to go Lilac? I want to go to Wolfspirit except I don't think they'll like me much. Honey and Thorn don't know either. I want to travel to somewhere far but I also want to stay here and..." Phantom's conversation gets lost in my mind

Thoughts are coming fast into my mind as I try to eat without thinking too hard.

Reed's expression doesn't seem too worried except that she's brushing her paw against the scar on her muzzle. She does that whenever she is worried or panicking.

I'm not sure where I want to go now. My heart aches from thinking about this. Blood runs through my veins cold as I grow more worried about my friends. All I want this moment, is for Ravensoul to be whole again.

What a long chapter... :D Well, Lilac is beginning to be introduced to clan life! I would like to thank everyone who keeps reading these chapters which I put a lot of work into. :) This chapter was quite interesting since I had to put a lot (and I mean a lot) of dialogue and thoughts. Mainly dialogue I think... Anyways, I would like to wish everybody a happy _ (whatever they celebrate) and a nice long holiday. :) Stay tuned and R&R!
