Sorry about the short chapters. My inspiration comes in small, short bursts rather than in one cohesive flow as I'd like it too :S
The ride along the water was pretty quiet. Nothing but the crashing waves and chirping birds to be heard for miles in any direction. Aokiji would've made conversation if he wasn't so caught up in thought. 'Mugiwara's sister. Is it really possible? She doesn't seem that dangerous. And what about this mentor she was talking about? Who could that be? Well, I guess in a day or so I'm going to find out… Mugiwara. That's a name I haven't heard in a while. I highly doubt he's dead like everyone seems to think he is. I'm sure he's still alive. Ha, he's too damn stubborn to die. It's only a matter of time before he shows up again. And his sister. I wonder what role she will end up playing in the future? Do the marines know about her? Not likely. If they did, she'd be locked up in Impel Down by now. Akainu wouldn't care what kind of person she is. He'd lock her up just for being Mugiwara's sister.'
Soon Bell Island was in view. It was a spring island. In every direction there were fields of flowers, all different colours. They came right up to the sand beds of the beach. Kaiyan jumped from the bike and ran into the flower fields, spinning around with outstretched arms; she fell back onto a pillow of pink and yellow wildflowers that released a scent similar to that of frangipanis. Aokiji propped his bicycle against a palm tree and wandered into the field of flowers relaxing into them next to the young girl.
"Oh, I forgot to ask your name. Mine's Kaiyan."
"Aokiji."
"Aokiji… It's nice to meet you. Oh and thank you for bringing me here."
"The ship that blew up your boat. It was flying Doflamingo's colours. Do you have any connection with the DonQuiote pirates?"
"Mhm. I fell from the sky and landed in the palace courtyard. Mr. Pink Feathers put me up at his place for a while, but I decided it was time to move on." She decided to leave out the parts about going to Marinford where she ran into her grandfather, about running into the Phoenix Marco, about battling with the heart pirates (she found the wanted poster in Doffy's office) and about being considered his plaything. Even so, he was a little surprised.
He replied with a shaky, "R-right. Makes sense." Obviously it didn't make any sense whatsoever. "So, he's coming after you because you left?"
"He has unnatural attachment issues to people who really don't want anything to do with him."
"Aha. Anyway, where's this man you're looking for?"
"Why do you ask?"
"I'm just curious."
"Not sure. I'll have to look around the island and see if I can find him."
"Do you mind if I accompany you? I'd like to find the town and stock up on some food."
"Sure, the more the merrier."
And so, Aokiji and Kaiyan set off through the flower fields in search of the town.
