I don't own the NW.
"Sensei, read it again? You keep skipping over the best parts!"
Rashel was a determined and headstrong child and she never lost. Anything. She didn't go to a regular school; her foster mother Anya home schooled her. Anya had a strong nature too, but had a gentle face and petit figure. She was an ex gymnast, and had great muscle tone.
Anya was across the room – a small hotel room in their suit in London – unpacking Rashel's things. "Sensei, don't skip over the good parts" She said in mock disappointment.
"I like the part when all the Vampires flee when they hear a new Warrior has been found! Read that part!" Rashel was sat on the end of the single bed, staring at Sensei her foster farther. Sensei was a fighter and it was obvious from the very first second Rashel saw him.
Her new family weren't like the others she'd had; she had a system of checking. At only seven she had already had ten different foster homes. Her system was simple really; she's tell them about the Vampires and see how they react.
This family had taken it surprisingly; they said nothing like "O'don't be silly" liked grown-ups usually do, and dismiss her as a deluded child. They believed her. And they new more, so much more. They were what Rashel had been looking for these last few years. Compared to what they knew, she knew nothing. They told her all about the Night World and about Shape Shifters and Witches. They'd even taken her to meet a Witch.
They were Vampire Hunters. When Rashel found out, that same second they told her, her whole future made sense, she had purpose. At only seven years old she knew what she would dedicate her life to, and she would to it fully. She promised herself she'd learn every thing!
"Its too late I'm afraid. You need to sleep." Sensei said tapping her on the noise. Rashel pretended to hiss at him and swat his hand away.
"Its not too late its only eight!", in the morning though. They lived on a nocturnal clock. Rashel had found it weird at first and a little hard to get used to but she understood why. They needed all there strength for the night hunts. Anya would stay with Rashel at whatever hotel they were living in whilst Sensei would stalk the night. He hardly ever came back hurt, never bleeding; if he got an injury it was mostly likely heavy bruising.
"Okay, you can stay up. I guess you don't want to come tomorrow then?" Sensei said with a wicked smile. And with that Rashel flopped on the bed, curled in to a ball and fake snored, really loud, causing Anya and Sensei to laugh. This was home.
AN: So its been three years since I updated this? I recently re read the books and the story came flooding back to me. I'll try and finish it for you guys who are still reading it. I also re read the comments from before and it spurred me on.
