At the Hospital:
Sakura slowly started to wake up and was feeling a bit groggy. Her head had a dull pain in it. When she opened her eyes, her vision was a bit blurry, but soon cleared up, Sakura saw that she was staring at a white ceiling and realized that she was in the hospital.
"How did I end up hear?" wondered Sakura as she sat up. Then, it hit her.
"That's right, I was out training and..."
Flashback:
Sakura was standing in the middle of a giant crater, that was once the training grounds for Team 7, and was watching every side of herself waiting for an attack while panting furiously because of her chakra being so low. She soon heard the slight crumble of dirt falling down the sides of the crater and then saw a two headed wolf, that she created with her own chakra, charge at her with full force. It then aimed for her arm with speed that was faster than light, but Sakura could predict where it was going to attack and she began to weave hand signs. Right after this, Sakura put her hands in front of her, with her palms faced away from her, and suddenly green chakra started to come out from her hands and was starting to shape itself at a fast rate. She soon created a wall of chakra in front of her and this caused the wolf to charge faster to break through, but failed to even make a scratch on it. With the speed that the wolf was running at and the wall holding up from the impact, the wolf ended up flying into a tree that was about two miles away.
"I think that was enough for today, Yin and Yang." exclaimed Sakura as the two headed wolf came walking back to her with both his and her head hanging in defeat.
"Don't be so hard on yourselves, Yin and Yang. You are made by my chakra so then when I get stronger you get stronger and that doesn't show that you aren't improving because you are." said Sakura as she smiled at the wolf.
"Now I think that you should go back inside of me and regenerate."
And the wolf nodded both heads and was absorbed inside of Sakura. Then, once the wolf was fully absorbed into Sakura, she felt extremely dizzy and all of a sudden, couldn't feel her legs. Sakura started to fall forwards and was followed by a sheet of blackness.
End of Flashback:
"That's right, I was out training and must have used up too much chakra, causing me to pass out. But what happened next?"
Sakura looked around the room that she was in and noticed that Naruto was lying in a bed fast asleep. Also, Shikamaru was sitting in a chair right next to him, playing some sort of board game. He didn't seem to have noticed that Sakura was up, but looked up from his game and looked at the hourglass with green sand.
"Huh? The sand stopped? Whats up with that? Did they forget to wind it or something? What a drag." said Shikamaru.
Then, Naruto started to wake up. And looked a little confused, as if he didn't even know where he was.
"So, you decided to wake up huh?" asked Shikamaru with a smirk on his face.
"Where am I? What is this?" asked Naruto while looking around the room, minus noticing Sakura.
"The hospital." They said you've been out cold like this for three days strait."
"Three days?" asked Naruto, like he didn't even know what was going on. But then his eyes widened.
"THREE DAYS STRAGHT?!" yelled Naruto while in panic mode and got out from underneath the covers.
"Uuhh, ya more or less." said Shikamaru while backing up slightly.
"SHIKAMARU, WHEN DOES THE FINAL COMPETITION BEGIN?!" shouted Naruto.
"Tomorrow."
"WHAT!?" Naruto practically screamed and then grabbed Shikamaur by his shirt.
"ARE YOU CRAZY?! WHY THE HECK DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP SOONER?! I CAN'T BE LYING AROUND HERE AT A TIME LIKE THIS, I'VE GOTTA BE GETTING READY! AND PERVY SAGE! WHERE'S PERVEY SAGE?! THAT OLD COOT'S SUPPOSE TO BE SUPERVISING MY TRAINING!" Naruto was yelling right in Shikamaru's face.
Before Shikamaru could reply, Sakura butted in.
"Naruto, can you keep it down, its not like Shikamaru is three miles away is it?"
Both Shikamaru and Naruto looked her way and were surprised that they didn't even notice the Sakura was awake.
"How long have I been here then?" asked Sakura in a monotone voice.
"I think they said something about you being here for almost a week." answered Shikamaru while scratching the back of his head while still in Naruto's grasp.
"I see, then that means that I was training hard enough. Also, Naruto, the person that you call Pervy Sage, would he happen to be an old man with long white hair?"
"Ya that's him. Do you know where he is? asked Naruto.
"Sorry, I don't. I only saw him while you two were training by the river." replied Sakura.
Then, she felt some sort of evil inside of the hospital.
"Excuse me for a moment." said Sakura as she got out of the bed and started walking towards the door.
Once she reached the door, it slid open and revealed Kakashi.
"Hello Sakura, I see that you are all better, I presume?"
"Yes, Kakashi sensei." answered Sakura and she started to walk through the door.
"Where are you going Sakura?" asked Kakashi, with his voice filled with curiosity.
"I'm just checking on something."
And then she left the room and walked down the hallway.
"I can't believe that my own student would just walk right past me after I had caused all the trouble just to bringing her here." complained Kakashi and then looked at Naruto.
"Umm Naruto, you can let go of Shikamaur, you know?"
"Oops, sorry about that." Naruto replied quickly and released Shikamaru.
"So Kakashi sensei, do you mean that you brought Sakura here? I mean like, did something happen to her?" asked Naruto worriedly.
"Well, nothing bad. Of course, Sasuke and I were just coming back to the leaf when we spotted her."
Flashback:
"Alright Sasuke, I think that is enough training for today."said Kakashi after Sasuke attacked the boulder one last time. It was already starting to become dusk and difficult to see anything.
Sasuke then removed his hand from the boulder and nodded towards Kakashi while not showing any emotion.
"Look Sasuke, I know that you are mad that I didn't train you today as long as yesterday, but it's only about a week until the finals. So you need to at least rest up." said Kakashi while not trying not to anger his student more than he already was.
"How about this Sasuke, I'll buy us dinner at any place you want. Is that a deal?" asked Kakashi.
"Hn, fine my me as long as you aren't late to pay the bill by going to the bathroom like you did last time." said Sasuke while giving Kakashi a glare that said that he meant what he said.
"Alright, I'll make sure that I'm not late." said Kakashi while his voice had a bit of nervousness in it.
Then, they both went back to the Hidden Leaf.
At the Training Field:
Soon, Sasuke and Kakashi were passing the training field that they would all train at. Kakashi was shocked from how much damage was in it. First of all, almost all of the trees were either pulled up by their roots or just fallen over as if something punched them or went straight through them. And then there was the giant crater in the center of the training field.
"I thought that Sakura said that there were only minor damages. I can't believe she would even call these minor!" moaned Kakashi and he looked as if he was going to cry.
Both Kakashi and Sasuke could sense Sakura's chakra coming from the giant crater. They soon noticed a weird wolf-like creature with two heads charge straight into the hole, but after it went in, a few seconds later it ended up flying back to what seemed like miles away through the trees. And then, Sakura came climbing out of the crater with a face that showed noting but full concentration.
She soon called out something towards the direction that the wolf went sailing and somehow the wolf came back not tired, but just with a shamefull look on both heads. Both Sasuke and Kakashi took a closer look at the wolf and saw something unbelievable. If their eyes weren't deceiving them, then they saw that the wolf appeared to be made of chakra.
"Kakashi, is that wolf really made out of chakra?" asked Sasuke, making sure that he wasn't the only seeing this.
"From the looks of it, I think that Sakura has somehow managed to know how to mold chakra." answered Kakashi while not letting his eyes leave his student in what she was doing.
First, Sakura appeared to be praising the wolf. Then, she smiled. Not a smirk. Not an evil smile. But an actual smile. Sakura was soon absorbing the wolf inside of her and once she had full absorbed the beast, she stood up and started walking. Suddenly, right after she took a few steps, Sakura's eyes widened and as if it were happening in slow motion, she started to fall forward while her eyes were starting to close at the same time.
Sasuke and Kakashi quickly ran up to her and saw that the damage of the training field was actually bigger than what they saw. Once they reached Sakura, her appearance was just multiple thin cuts all over her arms, legs, and face. She was extremely low on chakra and her breathing was heavy. The only thing that was a little frightening was that there was blood coming down from the corners of her eyes.
"Sasuke, I think we should at least skip that night out because I better bring Sakura to the hospital. Don't worry, we'll increase your training twice as much tomorrow as from today." said Kakashi as he picked up Sakura and went to the hospital.
End of Flashback:
"So that's pretty much how it happened." said Kakashi and he took out his usual book.
"I hope that Sakura will do good in the final rounds." said Naruto.
In the Hall way:
Sakura was walking to where she felt a very strong presence that she had felt before and a pretty good idea who it was.
She soon reached a room were the presence was very strong inside. Sakura slowly slid the door open and saw Gaara controlling his sand to wrap around Lee, who was still asleep.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." said Sakura in a very low and deadly voice.
Gaara halted the sand and slowly turned his head until he was glaring at Sakura from the corner of his eye. He then said,
"What do you want, you weakling?" asked the young sand genin, but Sakura just slowly shook her head while her eyes were closed and asked,
"I think you should answer to this. Why are you planning on killing Lee even though he is already out of the exams?" Her voice was stern, but had a bit of concern in it so small not even the Hokage could hear it.
"I am just making myself remind me of why I am alive. That is all."
"Unfortunately, I can't let you take down an opponent while they aren't even near ready for a fight." said Sakura and she then vanished and appeared right behind Gaara and somehow managed to break his jutsu.
When Gaara saw his sand fall down to the ground like an hourglasses sand, he stood there, slightly wide-eyed and asked,
"How did you do that when no one has even made my justsu considered useless?"
"That is a secret you just may have to find out during the final rounds. Oh, and also, I think that you should just pick up your sand and go back to where you belong. Don't you think?"
Gaara just glared and left with his sand trailing behind him and going back into his gourd.
"Well, that takes care of that." said Sakura and she headed back to the room that Naruto and the others were in.
Once she reached the room, Sakura heard them all chatting about and then entered the room.
"Hey, Naruto. I think that you should go home now and rest up for tomorrow." said Sakura.
"Well, if it will help me for tomorrow, then ok." replied Naurto and he got out of bed.
Before he left, Naurto turned and faced Sakura.
"Hey, Sakura. Lets make sure to win as a team."
"Ok Naruto." said Sakura and both genin headed back to their homes and got ready for the next day.
