Jason opens his eyes and sees Veronica's face before him. Up close, he sees the delicate human features of a face. Taking the opportunity, he looked closely at her entire being. Apart from the eyes, the shorter head, and the lack of a tail, there were still a few things that differed.
She had only five fingers, and they were shorter and thicker almost like people. Her ribs were thicker and tighter. The legs were also thicker, with only one joint, which probably made climbing more difficult. The dorsal tubes were very short, barely protruding from the back.
He wondered why he looked like that, he knew his mother drank when she was pregnant, so it might have had something to do with it.
He got out of bed, got dressed and went to the cabinet, took a can from it, opened it and began to eat. When he finished, he noticed that Veronica had woken up. He looked at the empty can and at her. She stretched, arching her hips towards him, giving him a nice view of a certain area.
- I wonder if your kind needs to eat something? He asked
- We don't have to, but we can. She said as she stopped flexing.
- I see. Now that I'm asking, doesn't being your host make me your parent? She shook her head
- The queen is my mother and some praetorian is my father. You were... She didn't know how to say it.
- A bag of nutrients. Jason stated. she sighed
- Yes.
Jason grabbed his gear and they left the bunker. The rest waited there although someone was missing.
- Where's the little one? Jason asked.
- We sent him to find other disabled Xenomorph and bring them back. The more we are, the faster we will find what you need. said one-eyed.
Jason nodded. He hadn't thought about it.
- I was thinking of naming you something... Jason started... It annoys me to keep saying "You".
- We don't like human names. One-armed said. Jason looked at Veronica.
- I like my.
- How about color names?
The three, after thinking for a moment, nodded their heads. Jason opened a cupboard and pointed to the sprays. One-Eye walked over and chose red without thinking. One-armed, after a moment's hesitation, chose blue. The last one chose green. Jason sprayed them with colors of his choice. Red had his ribs painted, Blue his arm, and Green his head.
He turned to see Veronika spraying herself with purple paint, spraying her wrists, making it look like she was wearing bracelets, then her head all the way, and finally, with his help, her spine. He felt that Veronica smelled differently.
- let's go. Jason said walking out the door.
Little xenomorph was jumping on the rooftops, he had met a few disabled xenomorph so far and told them to go east, which is the direction the sun rises as they explained to him, and look for a human military base. The only break he took was when a can of spray paint with yellow paint intrigued him. He had a yellow tail now.
Suddenly he heard a loud roar and several squeaks. He looked down and saw Raven, a huge alien that was killing anything that moved.
He'd seen it a few times before, sneaking into town, but something had changed, two yellow blisters on his back where the dorsal tubes had been, and a single eye also glowing with a sickly yellow light.
Raven grabbed two fully functional aliens and broke their necks, dropped the bodies and started vomiting a yellow, smelly liquid on them. He noticed that the bubbles had shrunk.
The liquid quickly melted into the bodies of the aliens, suddenly they began to thrash like people when they have an epileptic attack, their heads with disgusting cracks returned to their place, their skin began to glow in places.
When what was happening was over, one stood straight and the other on all fours. Their movements were now graceless, almost caricatured, as if each muscle worked separately and some did not work at all.
Reven and the two aliens went on their way and Yellow ran on, he had to find the rest of the disabled before Reven or the able-bodied did.
