Now lets get this show on the road!
Pebblesong faded away and Ivytail awoke thinking who is the cat.
Ivytail got up and paced around her den, this was this first time in weeks that StarClan had spoken with her. She was confused; the prophecy was very short, not giving her much information. She poked her head out of the medicine den, it was about midnight, the moon was out and the stars were sparking. The moon gave off a pale silver light, coating camp in a silver haze. Ivytail smelt the air; there was a faint trout smell and even a water vole. She decided to go back into her den to think about the 'prophecy'.
The moon started to fall in the sky, being taken over by the pink-orange glow from the sun coming up from the horizon. Rain scent hung onto the morning breeze as the reeds around camp swayed in the breeze. The occasional fish would jump out of the water as if it was almost trying to get eaten.
Although still quite early, cats started to stir, among the first was Perchpelt. He had made plans to meet Amberleaf before their clans awoke. He longed to the tortoiseshell she-cat again. Her eyes to him were mesmerising and she was so kind, he loved her with all his heart and wished they could be together. He would often get angry just thinking about that, he hated that he had to be with someone from his clan and actually despised any cat that would tell him he was breaking the warrior code. In fact he hated the warrior code, why can't he just eat what we want or why can't he just kill cats to win a battle. He wasn't even sure if he believed in StarClan.
Perchpelt padded out of camp and stared running towards the ForestClan boarder, he was aware that he had left his scent at the border and now was doing anything to conceal his scent. He had been visiting Amberleaf for a while now and he had his own little route he would take, that patrols would hardly go past. Ever since that last gathering he had to be extra careful not to get caught because of what happened and lately he had the feeling that he was being watched. As he approached the boarder, he saw Amberleaf sitting there. He walked up to her and nuzzled her. "I missed you," he said.
"I missed you too," purred Amberleaf.
Stormfeather awoke to see Oakfur in the nest beside her. She was hesitant to believe he liked her, only saying that to 'please' her sister. They had been best friend since they were kits…they were practically the same age and even had their final assessment together. That brought her mind to something else, it was Silverpaw's final assessment today and she also had to lead the morning patrol. Realising this, she got up and stepped into the clearing. Normally Perchpelt would have done it but he was on apprentice duties, Stormfeather thought that Rainstar was being too hard on him but she didn't dare to challenge her leader.
Rainstar had giving her the names of the cats that would be part of the patrol. "Please report for the morning patrol." "Rosepetal, Pinefur, Snowheart, Eaglestep, Hareleap and Silversky." she called. The six other cats came over and got ready for the patrol. "We will be heading to the MeadowClan boarder and will leave at once." Before the patrol left Stormfeather saw Perchpelt come into camp, she thought he must have with Amberleaf. Perchpelt shot her a glance as he saw she was leading the patrol.
The patrol when straight to the moor where MeadowClan lives and they got there quickly taking in the view from the higher parts of the territories. The grass was getting longer and the odd flower was appearing. The ground was getting harder as they got closer and heather and shrubs were becoming more frequent. The patrol came to the boarder and to their surprise there was a MeadowClan patrol there too. The LakeClan cats moved forward and exchanged glances. Rosepetal was the first to speak, "Looks like we should be at the ForestClan boarder since their already here."
"Don't be silly, this way both clans can see that no-ones up to any tricky business." said Heathernose.
"Always a pleasure to talk to you Heathernose." said Stormfeather
"You too." she said as her patrol moved on.
"Looks like this part of our territory is fine, we should head back." ordered Stormfeather. With that the cats headed back to camp.
When the patrol came back Stormfeather saw Silverpaw pacing around camp. "Getting nervous?" asked Stormfeather.
"Yeah" Silverpaw murmured.
"Don't worry you'll be fine, I'll go ask Rainstar if we can do it now when I give her the report."
"When's that?" asked Silverpaw
"Now" she answered.
Stormfeather walked into Rainstar's den, she wondered if she would ever be leader. "When we went to the boarder, a MeadowClan patrol was there but we checked the boarder is in the right place and has been freshly marked."
"Good, I have herd from the elders that you would be a good deputy." Rainstar replied.
"Thanks and also can Oakfur and I start the final assessment?" she asked.
"The elders said that not me but yes go ahead," she said.
Stormfeather left the den to tell the apprentices and Oakfur, feeling a bit hurt. She padded out and saw that they were all sitting there. "Rainstar says we can start," she announced.
Oakfur lead them to the training hollow. "Your first task will be to collect as much prey as you can, you can work together or alone but remember Stormfeather and I will be watching and be back be sun-down." said Oakfur. And with that the apprentices sped of, only to be followed by the young warriors.
The two apprentices decided to work together and they had all ready caught many fish and a water vole. Stormfeather and Oakfur had been watching them though the reeds and they were impressed. They were both great hunters especially Silverpaw, Pumapaw was more of a fighter but he wasn't going too badly. Before the apprentices new it their mentors came out of the reeds and told them to take their catch back and wait. The mentors started to talk about their apprentices' teamwork and skills as they walked back to camp. When they arrived they told Silverpaw and Pumapaw they would then show their battle skills. They got Hareleap to 'fight' the apprentices with Silverpaw going first. Silverpaw charged at Hareleap but he dodged it and swiped her paws from underneath her, she quickly go up and when for a belly rake on Hareleap. He tried to put his weight on her be she was to quick and got out. Stormfeather then ended the mock battle when Hareleap got the better of Silverpaw and she called Pumapaw over. He entered the area and went straight for Hareleap using the 'back kick' to get him from behind and before Hareleap new it he was on the ground. He got back up and brought his paw down on Pumapaw's head, disorienting him. Pumapaw quickly realised what was happening got back up and jumped on his back. Oakfur said that was enough and went with Stormfeather to tell Rainstar.
"All cats old enough to swim gather underneath Skyrock for a meeting." called Rainstar. "Silverpaw please come forward. I, Rainstar, leader of LakeClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Silverpaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"
"I do." answered Silverpaw
"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Silverpaw, from this moment you will be known as Silverbreeze. StarClan honors your courage and we welcome you as a full warrior of LakeClan." Rainstar rested her muzzle on the Silverbreeze's head, and she licked the Rainstar's shoulder.
"Pumapaw please come forward. I, Rainstar, leader of LakeClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in his turn. Pumapaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"
"I do." answered Pumapaw
"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Pumapaw, from this moment you will be known as Pumaclaw. StarClan honors your loyalty and we welcome you as a full warrior of LakeClan."
The clan shouted "Silverbreeze, Pumaclaw, Silverbreeze, Pumaclaw!"
The sun was setting and the new warriors had started vigil. Cats had shared tongues for that night and were heading off to their nests. Many cats liked watching the sunset and Stormfeather was no exception. She sat next to the lake and watch the stars come out all before finally curling up in her nest. Ivytail was already asleep but in her dreams something interesting was happening. She found herself in StarClan once more taking to Pebblesong. "Beware of a shadow that will cause a storm, for only she can calm it. Blood will engulf the forest by seeping into the lake, it will take a great storm to wash it away." Pebblesong said as she faded away.
A/N: That was my longest chapter ever. So more of the prophecy is revealed and Silverbreeze and Pumaclaw are warriors… Yay! Sorry if my line breaks don't work they haven't worked in the past. Random fact: I make a lot typos here is one of them: MeadowClan – MeowClan. I kept doing that for some reason. It looks like my trivia was too hard so here is some more. Trivia: Who is Stormfeather's father? I have realised that I don't need reviews, as long as you read it that's fine. Fanfiction isn't about reviews it's about the stories and the people who write them so leave a review if you want to not because I ask for them.
