Eaglestar dipped his head and muttered, "Thank you Rainstar, we are in your dept."

The coughing and splashing had died down, as the patter of raindrops took over. Rainstar took a moment to step out of reality and enjoy how calming the sound of rain could be. 'Good in Greenleaf, horrible in Leaf-bare." she thought, before remembering that Eaglestar was waiting for a response, "There is no need, we are suppose to help each other. It would have been cruel not to do anything."
Eaglestar turned to walk away, "MountainClan lets go!"
They slunk away into the darkness, followed by LakeClan.

Rainstar woke to small shafts of sunlight filtering through the gaps in her stone den. There was a pool of water by the entrance of the den, 'I really need to fix that.' she thought, adding it to her list of jobs.
Rainstar quickly gave her chest a few licks and stepped out into the camp before Perchpelt stepped out in front of her.
"There is something you need to see."
She paused before following Perchpelt though the ring of reeds that surrounded LakeClan's camp. There was a figure in the distance stumbling towards them. Rainstar looked over at Stoneheart and Hareleap, who where sitting in the clearing and gave a flick of her tail. "Come with me."
As they got closer, they figured out the cat was Nightbreeze, MountainClan's medicine cat, Rainstar tail twitched, was MountainClan all right?
Nightbreeze dipped her head and Rainstar did the same.
"Is something wrong in MountainClan?" she wondered.
Nightbreeze nodded with a grim look on her face, "Streampaw and Seedheart both have white cough from last nights swim and others are coughing."
"That's horrible, how can we help?" she asked.
"As you might know, herbs don't grow that well on the mountain side and we are running short."
Rainstar realised that she was asking for herbs and considered declined as trouble was brewing with ForestClan but decided against it.
"Hareleap could you please take Nightbreeze to Ivytail."
He nodded, "Of course."
They padded away slowly and Rainstar turned to Stoneheart, "Do you think that was the right thing to do?"
"Don't feel so unsure, you're the leader not me and is something troubling you, you are normally very confident?"
Rainstar paused to think about what he had said, 'Did I looked troubled or upset?'
"I had this dream," she muttered.
XxX (Flashback)
Rainstar awoke to the sound of rain, she quickly got up and checked outside, it was still dark. "I guess I won't be sleeping anyway."
Rainstar found that puddles had started to form on the ground, there was something strange about the water it was a dark red shade.
She crouched down next to the puddle, it smelt different and something told her not to drink it. Although that wasn't the only unusual thing, a rumbling sound could be heard in the distance.
Rainstar went to check on her clan mates but they were gone. The rumbling was getting closer it almost sounded like a raging river.
Rainstar started to panic, climbing a stone pillar to see over the reeds, she saw a massive wall of red water heading towards LakeClan.
She tried to flee but the wave slammed into the camp, destroying the dens and the pillar she was standing on. She was hurled into the water and struggled to swim, as if it was pulling her down.
"StarClan help me!" she yowled before her vision went black.
XxX (End of Flashback)
This was the first time Rainstar had really thought about that dream, 'Could it be some sort of omen?'
Stoneheart stood shocked for a moment before resting his tail on her shoulder, "I think you should tell Ivytail, she would know about this."
Rainstar nodded, "Thank you, I think we should go back and see what Nightbreeze is up to."
They turned and half ran back to camp only to be greeted with yowls of disproval. Rainstar's paws tingled, 'What had happened?'
Stoneheart leaped through the barrier, followed by Rainstar.
Lilyblossom stopped her, "Perchpelt thought Nightbreeze was stealing herbs and the whole clan is stirred up!"
Rainstar dipped her head, "Thank you for telling me."
She did a running leap onto the leaders rock, "LakeClan!" she yowled, as loud as she could.
Several cats turned around shocked and others looked relived.
Rainstar continued, "Perchpelt what has happened here!" she forced her fur to lay flat.
"I thought she was stealing herbs."
Rainstar bristled, "You thought wrong and look what has happened! Did you fail to realise Hareleap bring her in?"
Perchpelt shrunk back in his fur, "Look I'm sorry and I will personally escort Nightbreeze back when she has finished here." He gave his chest fur a few embarrassed licks.
"Nightbreeze I'm sorry that this has happened. Did you get the herbs you needed?"
Nightbreeze nodded, "Yes and I wont tell Eaglestar about this. Thank you once again."
"Alright, Hareleap can you please take Nightbreeze back and Perchpelt I want you to organise and border patrol to ForestClan."
Both toms nodded and padded away.

Rainstar headed towards the medicine den hoping to find Ivytail but was stopped by Perchpelt, "What do you want." she asked him almost bristling.
"I have cats for the border patrol: Owlheart, Sunflight, Stormfeather, Stoneheart and myself."
'Not bad mostly level headed cats.' she thought.
"I approve but I will be going instead of you."
"Rainstar you can't do everything." he admitted.
She shook her head, "I know but you messed up today and I haven't gone for a while. That's final."
Perchpelt nodded and hurried off to find them.

The patrol leaped into the water and swam across the river with ease, dodging all sorts of underwater debris. It didn't take them long to reach the bank of the main lake, that was in the middle of all four territories.
Rainstar shook her pelt and padded along the edge, her paws sinking in the sand.
"When we reach the border keep your distance, we already have enough trouble with ForestClan and we don't want more."
The rest of the patrol nodded and they passed into the area were the occasional tree become a full out forest.
"Fox dung!" yowled Stormfeather as she fell.
"Are you alright?" asked Sunflight.
She nodded, "I tripped over a bramble," she held up her paw and reviled a cut round her paw.
Rainstar couldn't help laugh, 'The mighty danger foreshadowing cat has tripped on a bramble.'
They continued walking until the patrol reached the border. Rainstar tasted the air, "No trace of ForestClan."
Owlheart marked the border as a yowl filled the air, 'ForestClan!'
Soon enough, a ForestClan patrol emerged with non other than Birchstar himself leading it.
"We are simply marking our border, we have done nothing wrong." Rainstar assured.
"Then how do you explain LakeClan scent on our side of the border!" he spat.
'Surely no warrior of mine had crossed?'
"I don't know Birchstar, it was probably just an apprentice."
"Get a better handle on your clan." spat Fireclaw
Sunflight bristled, "Don't tell us how to run our clan!"
"Then don't let your apprentices on out territory!" Birchstar retorted.
"Mouse brain." Stoneheart muttered.
Shadowpaw unsheathed his claws, "Do you want a fight?"
"Do you Rainstar?" asked Birchstar
"No I don't! We wouldn't be like this if you weren't here! You could learn to manage your apprentices as well!"
Birchstar went into a crouch, bunched his muscles and sprang.

A/N: Looks like Birchstar wants a fight! So how did you like it? If you have any comments or suggestions please let me know in a review. Also, the title of this story is Stormfeather's Destiny and I think the destiny part should be changed. It seems too special and makes it seem like Stormfeather is a Mary Sue or perfect character, which I'm trying to avoid. So should I change it? I was thinking maybe Stormfeather's Path or Stormfeather's Journey. What do you think? I want everyone's opinion, as it would affect readers and reviewers. Guests can also review; I might even put a poll up on my profile. See you guys next week : D
