He never had the chance to cross the Hogwarts wall. He was useless to his father because he refused to submit to his opinion. Not as easy as James. Fleamont Potter Junior, as his father's friends called him, was homeschooled. It got to the point where most people didn't know that James Potter had a brother. Twin brother.
Now he was standing in front of the door that would lead him to the Great Hall. He was afraid to go through it. He was afraid to see the boy who was his nephew. He was also afraid of tearing Albus Dumbledore apart. Because of this wizard, he was unable to take care of the boy, despite the fact that he was his closest family.
He sighed before turning the knob and opening the door.

Hermione looked at the boy she wanted to be friends with from a distance. Maybe it would be better if she came to school with her father's last name. But she didn't want him to like her for who she was. She wanted him to like her for the kind of person she was. And… She wanted to avoid confusion about her heritage.
"Why are you so sad?" - Neville's voice was full of concern. The chubby boy was her closest friend.
"I thought things between me and Harry had gotten better."
"Harry has never had anyone in his life. Now he found favor with the Weasleys. Ron is jealous. He doesn't let anyone in."
"It's sad but true."
She smiled at the wizard sitting next to her. She didn't know what it was about him that calmed her down. She preferred not to think about it. Don't analyze it. She was just glad someone accepted her.
"Hermione, look towards the door. Somebody came."
The Gryffindor swallowed, concerned about what could have happened that her father had appeared at school.

He thought he was hallucinating. And not only him. Remus Lupin looked as if he had seen a ghost. Towards the professors' table, someone walked with the step of someone who thinks they have the whole world at their feet. James Potter. Or rather, someone who looked like his doppelgänger. The wizard's face lacked a characteristic smile. His hazel eyes were empty.
"Good morning." - he looked at the professors, lingering on Minerva McGonagall. - "I'd like to talk about my daughter and nephew."
"And who are you?"
"Fleamont Potter." - The wizard bent down and pulled out a large folder with documents from a small bag. - "I've been able to regain custody of my nephew, Harry."
Severus Snape looked almost automatically at Albus Dumbledore. A mixture of anger and surprise flashed across his face. - "What are you talking about?"
"That thanks to the intervention of some idiot from the Ministry, I couldn't take care of him when my brother died. It took a while but I managed to get him back and came to let him know." - Potter's voice was filled with venom and reluctance towards the headmaster - "From now on, every holiday and Christmas break he will be spent with me. Every accident, doubt, assessment is to be consulted with me. And one more thing. Harry Potter won't fly for the Quidditch team until he's improved his grades. In my opinion, a position in the school team should be a reward for good results. Not a reward for defying a teacher's rule."
Minerva paled at these words. She remembered well under what circumstances Harry Potter found himself on the Gryffindor team. - "And who is your daughter?"
"Hermione Granger is my daughter. Doesn't anyone read student papers here anymore? She had come to Hogwarts under her mother's name so as not to cause a stir. However, we have never hidden her heritage." - He turned to the headmaster and said. - "These documents are a copy for the school archives. And now I'm going to apologize to you. I want to say hello to Hermione and my nephew."
Severus Snape couldn't help but smile. He looked for his godson and thought - Things are getting interesting.
