Lorelei was going through the end making last minute little detailed spot checks before finally turning off the lights and heading for home, but home is not where she ended up instead she ended up sitting on a bench outside of Luke's Diner. She just sat there deep in thought wondering what to do. Her heart was heavy, she was in love and yet she had no idea whither to talk to him about it or not. They were best friends, but would he be after he learned that she loved him? She couldn't get him off her mind, he was the kind of man that was there for her no matter what, cause he was her best friend and in her minds eyes he was the man she needed. He was the reason none of her relationships ever worked. She loved Luke Danes, the man who owned the Diner. She loved him big time and would do almost anything to have him, anything but tell him apparently she thought.
Next thing she knew a gentle tear fell down her face with frustration she wanted him but she knew that as friends there was a chance that could never happen he might never love her the way she loved him. But even as she sat there this way the door to the diner swung open a lone figure could be seen walking in her direction, and she knew that Luke had seen her there and was wondering what she was sitting alone on the bench at this hour for.
She tried to hurry to clear her face but it didn't help she felt more fall into the spot that was just cleared. When he finally reached her she was in an even worst state then before.
"Lorelei, what is wrong, what has you upset now?" Luke Danes asked in that kind voice of his.
She looked up into that sweet, gentle face that she had grown to love so much.
She knew she could not lie to him and that she could not just not tell him, all she could do was tell the truth he had caught her crying not she had to pay the price.
"I love you, I love you Luke Danes, so much so that I don't know what to do!" Lorelei sobbed softly.
Luke swooped her into his arms and kissed her gently.
