Chapter 8: Actually Working

"Get moving! We have a schedule to meet!" The large White Fang member bellowed. They were supposed to be leaving Vale within the hour and they weren't even close to being ready. "Torchwick is going to have my head for this one." The Fang grumbled. The White Fang had to speed up their plans since there was some group out there tearing everything they were working on to pieces. They had to get to the southeast before…

A scream filled the warehouse and everyone stopped what they were doing to see a rifle laying on the ground. The lead Fang pointed at a deer and fox Faunus and barked "Investigate that! Everyone else… stay on your toes." The two did as they were directed and went towards the fallen rifle with theirs at the ready. They reached the rifle and started to look around, not seeing any sign of their missing brother other than the rifle on the ground. They were about to call out when there was a quiet groan over their heads.

The two looked up to see their brother hanging from a rafter with a shadow standing on the same rafter. The two raised their guns and the shadow bolted across the rafters, bullets trailing it every second. The shadow was fast… faster than any of them and they couldn't land a hit. The shadow stopped for a moment and threw something that landed at the two's feet; a grenade. The deer Faunus shouted just before the explosive went off "GRENADE!" The two White Fang were thrown back as the shadow leaped down to reveal itself; Deathstroke the Terminator.

The other White Fang members pointed their weapons at him, causing Deathstroke to chuckle "Amateurs." He charged forward as bullets bounced off his armor and he pulled out his collapsible bow staff. He slid underneath one Fang's attack with a sword and swept his legs out from beneath him, knocking him to the ground. Deathstroke delivered another strike to the same Fang's head, either knocking him unconscious or killing him. The rest of the White Fang members saw that their guns were useless, so they drew swords and charged the mercenary.

Deathstroke readied his bow staff and started deflecting blows from the swords with extreme ease. One Fang got a close swing on him, so he delivered a strike to the Fang's neck and possibly snapped it. He drove the butt of his staff into another Fang's gut and then an uppercut to their jaw as they doubled over. He ducked under a swing and punched the assailant in the face as he struck another with his bow staff. These amateurs were beginning to bore him, so he put his bow staff away and pulled out one of his swords.

He blocked a sword swing and threw the blade in the air before he sliced the Fang in half at the waist. Another sword came down while his back was turned and he knew he was going to be hit, but the sound of a sniper rifle going off and the Fang's head exploding said otherwise. Deathstroke looked up to see a familiar black suited woman with a black helmet and tattoos going down her bare arm. She raised the sniper rifle again and fired another round, nailing a Fang in the chest and dropping him. Deathstroke spun and drove his sword into a Fang's chest as he pulled out one of his Desert Eagles and put around in another Fang's head.

The lead Fang took a few steps back from the massacre, thinking "I gotta get out of here! Torchwick needs to know about this." He turned to run and ran straight into a large man in black armor and armed to the teeth. "You're going to want to stay put." The man advised as the lead Fang looked up into the helmet. "Unless you want me to chase you, which would be fun… On second thought, please run. I'm bored." The Fang took a few steps back and ran into something cold, very cold. He looked over his shoulder to see a wall of ice blocking his retreat path.

The woman with the sniper rifle stepped into his view and declared "You are staying here. You will not be running now. You will start talking." Then the orange and blue armored man that killed his men appeared on his other side and suggested "If he doesn't start talking now, may I kill him? Useless scum deserves to die." The Fang looked between his three captors as the man in black questioned "Well? What's it going to be?" The Fang barked "I'll talk! Just don't kill me!"

"We'll see about that."

The man in black pulled back and punched him in the face, knocking him out cold. The Fang's head was spinning from the punch and there was a bright light shoved into his face. He felt something around his wrists and he was swaying a bit as the black armored man exclaimed "He's waking up. Who wants to start?" The Fang's vision became clear to see he was hanging from a pipe in some run down building with a flashlight shoved into his face. The orange and blue man stepped up, cracking his knuckles as he exclaimed "I'll start. What were you doing with all those weapons?"

"We were told to gather weapons for something."

"For what?"

The Fang clammed up and Deathstroke growled "I'll ask again. For. What?" The Fang responded "I don't know!" Deathstroke shook his head and pulled out his hunting knife and exclaimed "I'll ask one… more… time. For what?"

"I told you I don't know."

Deathstroke drove his knife into the Fang's stomach, careful to avoid hitting any organs and mainly cause pain. "I don't care for being lied to." Deathstroke growled as he twisted the knife. "I DON'T KNOW!" The Fang cried in pain as the knife twisted. "TELL THE TRUTH!" Deathstroke barked as he ripped the knife out. Deathstroke put the knife into his shoulder and twisted more, causing the Fang to wail in pain again.

Deathstroke pulled out the knife and started to slide it across the Fang's stomach, not spilling out his intestines. "ALRIGHT!" The Fang cried out. "We were taking them to the southwest. We're staging something there." Deathstroke put his knife to the Fang's groin and questioned "Staging what?"

"I don't…"

Deathstroke brought the knife up and started digging it into the Fang's manhood. Gabriel stood next to Angel and chuckled "Now that has to hurt." Angel responded coldly "In more ways than one. Not only is the groin a high area of exposed nerves, causing physical pain. But he is also destroying the man's pride by removing what he holds dear."

"Wow, you make torture sound so… dirty."

The Fang screamed some more and cried "I don't know why! All I know is that Torchwick wanted weapons and a lot of them! That's all I know I swear!" Deathstroke turned to the other two and exclaimed "I think that's the last bit of truth we're getting out of him." Angel stepped forward and put a gun to the Fang's head and pulled the trigger since she knew that meant removing all assets. The Fang hung limply as Angel turned back and holstered her pistol. She exclaimed in a flat tone "We're done. Can we leave?"

Deathstroke nodded and the trio left the abandoned building on the edges of town. The three returned to Beacon to update their 'leader' about the information they had acquired from their latest venture. Angel removed her helmet and untied her hair, letting it fall around her shoulders as she let out a deep sigh. "What? The job stressing you Ice Angel?" Gabriel chuckled as he removed his helmet. "Fuck off Gabriel." Angel snapped. "I actually like having time off."

"Our job is mostly time off."

"No, your job is mostly time off. You are nothing but hired muscle. Deathstroke and I actually work by gathering information from the shadows and not down the barrel of a gun."

Gabriel raised an eyebrow and questioned "What's got your panties in a twist today?" Angel ignored Gabriel as they reached Team RWBY's room to find Deadpool chatting with their planetary informants. "We got some intel." Deathstroke updated as they entered the room. "Really!?" Deadpool exclaimed as he stood up. "Where?"

"From a White Fang member. We raided an outpost and captured the one in charge. The outpost was cleared and the authorities were informed."

"What, did you guys torture him?"

All three of them nodded and Deadpool whined "WHAAAAT? And you didn't invite me?" Sane exclaimed "That is incredibly rude." Crazy grumbled "Not cool Wilson." Deathstroke rolled his eye and proclaimed "We'll talk about what we found, somewhere else." Deadpool nodded and walked out with Deathstroke and Gabriel while Angel stayed behind and sat at the table.

She set her helmet on the table and sighed as she dropped her head on the table. Ruby raised an eyebrow and questioned "Are you okay Angel?" Angel groaned "I'm so very tired of this job." Blake lowered her book and questioned "Being an Assassin?"

"No, just this job. Normally I work with my brother and Dad on occasion. I think I hang out with guys too much. This job, guys. All of my friends, guys. The only girl that I get along with in my life wants to screw me."

Angel sat up and ran her fingers through her hair and sighed "I need more girl friends." Yang questioned "Why don't you come with us on our next outing?" Angel looked over at Yang and exclaimed "Are you sure? I don't want to intrude."

"Naw, it's cool. Right girls?"

The rest of them nodded and Angel smiled, proclaiming "I would like that. Help me get this stress out of my body." Weiss questioned "You said you had a brother earlier?"

"Half-brother is you want to get technical, or uncle. My brother, Zer0-12 or Z-12, is a clone of my father Zer0."

All of the girls looked at her with raised eyebrows as Angel exclaimed "So what do the four of you do during your outings?" Ruby replied "Just hang around town. Grab something to eat or see a movie. Simple stuff like that." Angel smiled and proclaimed "That sounds like fun. I could use some simple after some extended time surrounded by murderers." All of the girls smiled uncomfortably as Angel digistructed her armor away, leaving her in her normal civilian clothes.

Deadpool, Deathstroke, and Gabriel met up in a secluded part of the school to talk about their intel. "So what have you got?" Deadpool questioned. "Some operation to the southwest." Deathstroke answered. "Something that requires a large number of weapons and a large number of men."

"Well that can't be good."

Gabriel chimed in "Not at all. We're going to be heading out soon." Deadpool nodded and exclaimed "Cool. I'll tell Team RWBY…" Deathstroke cut him off "No, you're leaving them out of this one."

"What? Why?"

Gabriel explained "Because they're kids. It was bad enough that they were brought out when we first arrived. They don't need to go through anymore of what we do." Deadpool questioned "So that's it? Just leave them behind?" Deathstroke exclaimed "They are our information source. They tell us what they know and that's it. They are not mercenaries, they are students at this school. Live with that fact Deadpool and get yourself ready." Deadpool scratched the back of his head and questioned "Is it just going to be our team?"

Gabriel answered "We'll be bringing in our reinforcements. Zer0, Maya, Lilith and Nickoli will join us in the assault, and we should have Grimlock ready for if we need muscle." Sane exclaimed "Grimlock will only listen to Ruby, she does have his respect." Gabriel sighed "That is a problem if we need some heavy fire power… or Dino power." Deadpool chuckled while Deathstroke looked at him with that cold blue eye of his. "Sorry." Gabriel apologized. "Trying to lighten the mood."

"Don't." Deathstroke exclaimed. "Get yourselves ready. I have a feeling this will be a very heavy fight."
