Don't hate me for what I did...
-later that night after the FWC incident-
Lying on my couch staring at the ceiling thinking about the vision.
I sigh and stand up. "Lying down isn't gonna do anything for me, I need to take a walk and do some research"
I go to the door but before I can open it there's a knock
Puzzled i open it slowly and Jav pushes his way through and sits on my couch "Please come in Jav nice to see you"
"Thanks Ben just wanted to say hi and drop off some muffins" I reply to myself in a mock tone
"Cut the crap" he says glaring at me
Realizing he's serious for once I stop and sit across from him
"What do you want"
"I want to know why little Benny boy decided it was a good idea to FUCKING JOIN FWC" he yells the last part and stands up
"Hey that's my decision, I took the risk and I survived now I have a thousand God damn questions and you're gonna help me"
"You idiot it doesn't make you crazy from the start it slowly brings you to the point of insanity"
"Oh..."
"You didn't know enough about them to join yet but you did anyways... And I can't change that fact, so tell me... What did you see?!"
"... I guess we'll start with the vision and then I want your help."
He nods, sitting down again as I recall my story
I begin to explain and when I mention the aliens made of bones he interrupts and calls them "The Hive"
As I finish my story I leave out the part about the guy being me because I feel like that part is something I have to do on my own.
"From what you're telling me, this rogue warlock, with a hive ghost, is gonna try a bring a army of thrall from the hellmouth and what? Take over the moon?"
I sit back and cross my arms "Sounds about right but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't stop at the moon, he would probably go to earth to"
"That's obvious"
"But what if the guardian isn't that devolved yet, like he's not rouge yet or not evil yet?"
"That's a possibility but to be honest I wouldn't have thought of that... What led you to that conclusion?"
"Just uhhh the way he acted..."
"Ok, but anyways if this is a guardian who's still good, or at least not rogue yet I have a few suspects, you being one of them"
"ME?!"
"Yes there's a high chance it is you, because of your ghost"
"What's my ghost got to do with any of it?" I asked puzzled
Jav holds out his arm with his palm up and summons his ghost
"Hi Jav" he's ghost says in a childlike voice before sparking a little
"Hi caboose, still twitchy?" Jav says sweetly "Now Ben bring out Lynx"
I hold my hand out like Jav did and summon Lynx above my hand letting him float around
"Hello Ben" he states
"Now," Jav says "Spot the difference"
I stare at them for a while until it hits me "Mine has a white shell and a green glow and yours has a white shell with a blue glow"
"Yup and by the way your ghost is the only green ghost I know of"
"Oh..."
"Also i rescued that ghost from a hive wizard on the moon so it's a high possibility that the guardian was you and that your ghost is the key"
Before I can say anything else a voice on a intercom speaks through the speaker attached to the ceiling. "Attention guardians Javael and Ben, your presence is requested by the vanguard"
We look at each other surprised them Jav walks out of the room and up the elevator while I grab my gear and get set up
I get there about five minutes after Jav and stand awkwardly next to him in silence
"Thank you for coming" Ikora says while stands in between the other two
"We have a important mission for you on the moon, and you must leave now" she states while handing me a data chip. "Put that in your ship and it will take you where the mission begins, that is all good luck guardians" They salute us then we leave
"Ben you go to the vanguard armory while I go to get our ships ready" he says while throwing me a card with the vanguard symbol on it
Yea right I think he just wants to talk to Holiday
-at the vanguard armory-
"Hello" the vanguard robot asks "how can I help you"
"How much is on this card?" I ask before handing it to him
He swipes it then hands it back saying "450 vanguard marks"
I raise my eyebrow and think wow, how many mission has Jav done
"Ok, can I see all the "Devils" you have in stock?"
He lays one Devil you know hand cannon on the desk and then two Devils you don't know hand cannons next to it
After inspecting all of them I chose one of the Devil you don't know, liking its perks better
As I turn around to leave I see a very happy Jav walking my way
"What put you into a good mood?" I ask
"Oh nothing but the ships are ready" he says grinning
I nod and Lynx teleports me to my ship
Me and Jav float in orbit for a bit fixing the coms and talking about who's ship is cooler and who's is faster and stuff
I sit down and glance over at him sitting in his chair giving me a thumbs up
I count to three with my fingers then we both turn on our thrusters and fly off in the direction of the moon, Jav's being faster because he does have a legendary ship known as "Little Light"
When we're in the moon's orbit I put in the chip and let the auto pilot and land on a ridge above the hellmouth.
I walk around the small ridge while Jav lands and see the base of a bridge branching off into the hellmouth and a platform with marks craved into it in front of the bridge base.
"Don't go near that" Jav says walking towards me
"What is it?"
He puts one foot on the platform and everything starts shaking, while the markings start to glow and fill up.
He takes his foot off and everything stops
"That"
"Ok point taken, don't start a earthquake on the moon, or would that be a moonquake..." While I try to figure that out Jav lays down on his stomach and pulls out a Longbow-Synthesis sniper rifle.
He takes aim and fires a few purple-streaking bullets at some hive walking around near us
I really should have gotten a sniper while I was at the tower I think
"So what's the mission?"
"I don't know, Ikora said to activate the data chip when we get here so activate it"
I insert it in the back of my helmet and watch as a little video pops up on the top right of my visor
"Guardians if you're watching this then your at the location specified above the hellmouth, your mission is to infiltrate the hellmouth and follow the highlighted trail to the room a hive abomination was killed. We want you to investigate something in there, more details will be revealed when you get there." The screen goes away and I give the rundown to Jav while he snipes another hive
"Ok" he says while standing up and switching back to his red and white hand cannon called "Red Hand
We look over the edge of the hellmouth and see a platform about halfway down.
"I can make it" Jav says
"No you can't"
"Watch me"
"Don't"
"Do?"
"I swear"
"Fine I won't..." he says backing away a little "...Without a running start" he says running and jumping off, free falling into the massive hole.
"Damnit Jav" I curse and jump after him
Halfway down Jav pulls out his ghost which summons his sparrow for him and he launches it to the other end of the platform
While all the enemies go to investigate the wreckage, me and Jav land silently and run into a smaller cave opening which leads us to a large number room with a decayed body in the center.
The screen pops back up and says: "Hide in the room and observe" before going away again
I shrug and climb the rafters to his overhanging while Jav climbs the sides of the cave to hide in between a crack in the wall
We sit there and wait for about a hour when a loud crackling noise echoes through the huge room.
Two large red hive with swords walk beside a hive that floats right above the ground and hisses at the decayed body and bones
"Stupid failed experiment" it says in a slightly feminine voice, like a old grandma
The Knights stand there silently while the witch claws away at the body and pulls out a heart the size of yoga ball and she tosses it across the room.
She then chants something and commands the Knights to peel skin from the body and place it on themselves
They do that while she chants and glows green and blue
Black flames surround the Knights and the body and meld them together into one huge, white knight with bones for armor and a sword in one hand as long as itself.
The Knight raises its sword above its head and yells "TO EARTH"
He and the witch are teleported somewhere else while me and Jav walk back to the center
"Did you see that?" Jav asks with wide eyes
"Yea, this is bad"
"No shit, we need to find out what they want and where there going first"
I give him a confused look "Didn't you hear? He said they were going to earth"
He gives me a confused look "They only made clicking sounds and screeches, can you understand hive?"
"I guess so..."
"Ok now I'm almost positive you're the guy from your vision but we can worry about that later" he says and turns around to leave the room "right now we gotta g-" and then he's cut off by the sound of a 100 screeches as thrall start falling from the ceiling, and one with a blue head, a cursed thrall, landing on one of the other ones causes them to expolde
"WHAT THE FUCK" I yell running right behind Jav as were chased down a tunnel by thousands of thrall.
"WE HAVE TO GO FASTER" Jav says throwing a grenade behind him, blowing up a few
We bolt down the tunnel and turn a corner into a smaller tunnel with Jav in front while I shoot my hand cannon behind us without aiming
He turns and runs straight into a wall
"Damnit" he yells while getting back up
He looks at me then the army running at us and sighs
He looks down, almost admitting defeat before looking up with new fire in his eyes.
"Get behind me Ben" he yells before turning blue, bursting with arc energy with two long blades in his hands
Some thrall back off before being pushed forward by the other
He jumps at them and starts obliterating them one by one, his blades going through them like butter and turning them into orbs of light.
He keep going and going without slowing down and I can feel hope but then he's glow starts to dim and he cuts another before jumping back to land beside me.
He grabs my collar and runs head first into them, going through the opening he had made in there ranks and pulls me through
"GO GO GO" he yells exhausted through this mask, probably from the thing he just did
He runs ahead and let's go of my collar running down the halls and throws a grenade at the ceiling causing rocks to fall and seal them off
Before I can breathe a sigh of relief he runs headfirst into a cursed thrall with a blue head
"NOOOO-" is all I can yell before the world goes into slow motion, watching Jav stab it in the neck with one of his knives trying to prevent the explosion but was to late... The thrall explodes knocking me on my ass and vaporizing Jav leaving nothing left but a destroyed ghost sitting infront of me
Ik Ik Im a dick for ending it like that but oh well t(•-•t) can't stop me.
