Where the Wind Blows Chapter 1
Intro to "Battle for Fairy Tail"
Inside the Fairy Tail Guild headquarters...
"The long wait is finally over ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to the one and only Miss Fairy tail contest! Where your favorite fairies fight the battle of beauty! I'm Max, sand wizard extraordinaire, and I'll be your host for this exciting event!"
The crowds cheering were anything but tame as the girls were showing off one by one, but one girl stands out from all the others...
"Mirajane Strauss... It was easier to find you than I thought." a cloaked man with a giant fan on his back known as Charon Papillion sitting on one of the inner roof support beams says to himself. 'Better let this contest play out. I don't need to raise awareness of who I am after all, so I'll wait patiently for my time to take action.'
After her, the contest went on until someones performance was interrupted.
"Entry number 8..." A woman's voice spoke out to the crowd. There wasn't a single person in the hall who knew what exactly was happening until the woman revealed herself. The blonde headed girl who's cheer leading show was interrupted was not at all pleased with the current events and was visually showing her disapproval towards the unknown woman.
"I'm the very definition of a fairy... not to mention the definition of beauty as well! I'm the only one here who embodies what men truly desire, therefor the winner is me, the lovely Evergreen! and now... this meaningless contest can come to an end!"
The blonde girl was visually dumbfounded by this and Charon was curious as to what the hell was happening.
'I can't tell if this should or shouldn't be happening...'
The crowd started to talk to one another.
"Whoa, she's back?!"
"If she's here, Laxus must be here as well..."
The cheer leader decided to open her mouth and the crowd went silent.
"CAN'T YOU GO MESS UP A DIFFERENT CONTEST?! GIVE ME A BREAK WILL YOU, I REALLY NEED THAT PRIZE MONEY FOR MY RENT AND.." the girl was cut off
"LUCY! don't look into her eyes!
Evergreen raised her glasses and said, "I'm sorry what was your name?" At that instant, Lucy was turned to stone, completely petrified.
"For a beauty contest, this is pretty excessive." the stranger says to himself. "Why is this happening and who is this 'Laxus' people are freaking out over?"
The crowds initial reaction was silence, but panic quickly followed. There was a stampede going the opposite direction of the fairy.
Just as the viewers were running for their lives, a tiny old man stepped forward.
"What do you think you're doing Evergreen?! You'll ruin the festival for everyone!"
"On the contrary, I think things are just starting to get interesting."
The curtains raised as she spoke revealing all those who participated in the Miss Fairy Tail contest who were petrified under Evergreens ocular curse.
A bolt of lightning came from the ceiling and struck the stage, which formed into a tall, muscular man with blonde hair and spiky magic headphones.
"Well.." he spoke "Looks like all of your fans decided to head home... PITY! because the party's about to start!"
"I should have known..." The old man looks down with grimace.
"Freed?" to the right "Bickslow?"
"The 'Thunder Legion!"
"Just what the hell are you guys tryin' to pool?!" a man shouts from the tables.
Charon thought to himself 'This is Laxus huh? This guys is no joke. I can feel the intensity of his magic power from up here.'
"LET'S HAVE SOME FUN!" Laxus said with an arrogant grin.
"I've had about enough of this nonsense! Stop this and turn them back or else!"
A surge of raw electrical power formed above Lucy's stone body, about to shatter it.
"You better play nice if you want these ladies to join the parade."
"NO, STOP!" the bolt strikes the ground next to her.
"Don't you get it old man, they're my hostages, so you better go along with my plans if you ever want them back. We're going to find out who's the strongest member of the guild. It's a Fairy Tail battle royal!"
A boy with pink hair stood up punching the table he was resting his head on. "Nice and simple, just the way I like it! I'm all fired up now!"
He jumped at Laxus only to be struck with 20,000 volts and knocked out.
"Natsu has the right idea, just not the power to back it up, or the brains!" Laxus says pulsating with lightning
Evergreen speaks up "Naturally, if you want them to return to normal, you'll have to defeat us first."
"But those odds aren't that bad, there's like 100 of you and only 4 of us!" Bickslow says following up on Evergreen
"You'll have three hours and not a second more."
"All of Magnolia will be your battleground, and the battles will begin when and if you find any of us!" Laxus says and laughs evilly.
"How could you..." The tiny old man then grew 100 times his original size. "I WON'T STAND FOR THIS!"
"Whether you like it or not, this is now part of the festival, SO SIMMER DOWN OLD MAN!" With that, a huge bright light engulfs the hall and the Thunder Legion had vanished.
Many of the guild members were gathered around the double doors. "LET'S GO! WE GOTTA MAN UP AND SAVE OUR GIRLS!" after that, the guild hall was empty save the statues, the old man, and the unconscious Natsu.
Also, the building was surrounded by an enchantment that wouldn't allow Natsu or the old man out of the doors.
After the guild went to battle, Charon left the guild hall for the town, watching the fellow guild mates fight their friends. He was at an impasse with himself. On one hand, he has no business dealing with the affairs of a guild, and on the other, he hated watching friends fight one another for some twisted amusement of another. Later he returned to the guild hall with his final decision.
One after another, the guild members were knocked out. They were being manipulated by the one known as Freed the Dark and his enchantments. Laxus also came forward with his true motive of taking over the guild.
The guild was down to 2 people, Gajeel and Natsu.
"YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! YOU TWO ARE THE ONLY ONES LEFT?!" The master shouts.
Natsu looks down disappointed. "I guess I have no choice... I'll bring Erza back."
"DO WHAT?!"
"Yeah, I'll burn the stone off!"
"That won't be necessary." Charon says appearing out of a misty cloud right in front of the stage."
"Just who are you anyway?!" the Master, Natsu, Happy, and Gajeel say in unison.
He turns his head looking back at them with a sharp tooth smile "We'll talk later, but for right now, I'm here to help." A magic aura surrounds him and the statues and starts a spell "Let the barriers holding these individuals be broken down and the curses burdening them be lifted! Sky Devil Art: AMRITA! " With those words, the petrifaction ended, and all of the girls returned to normal.
"Erza! EVERYONE! YOU'RE OK!" the remaining guild members shouted in delight for their friends and strongest allies' return.
"I'll finish what I came here for after we stop this." Charon says with a cool tone of voice and then disappears turning into red wind.
"Who the heck was that guy, he's awesome!" Natsu interjected
"Yeah, we owe him a lot for returning us back to normal" Mirajane said stretching
"I heard him say Sky Devil Art... anyway, there's no time to think about that now, we need to stop Laxus!" Erza said but realizing the real threat.
Happy flies up to her. "Do you know what's going on?"
"I could hear what they were saying even covered in stone."
Lucy vs. Bickslow
"Too bad little miss cheer leader, I'm afraid the game just went into sudden death!" His eyes glowing under his helmet "But don't worry, I'll take extra good care of your soul! BARION FORMATION! ATTACK!" The toys made a pentagonal shape and shot a huge blast of lightning at Lucy.
"Lucy! RUN!" the blue exceed shouted
The attack made contact, but Lucy was perfectly fine. She looked up to see a tall silluetted figure who blocked the attack with a giant fan.
(Add some cool "Introduction to a new character who appears at the perfect time to save the day!" music of your choice! I used "Step Up" by Lotus Juice.)
The dust cleared. "What!? Who are you?!" Bickslow was shocked "No one can block and attack like that!"
"You and the rest of your pathetic thunder legion have put too many innocent lives in danger... and you will pay! Sky Devil's Multiple Wind Shuriken!" he swiped giant fan and caused hurricane speed level red wind to impact the puppet master, knocking him out of the sky and sending him crashing down to ground level.
"You ok?" Charon says looking back to Lucy.
"Yeah, I'll be alright, thanks." with that, Charon jumps down and lands next to Bickslow, who has taken off his helmet.
"HAHAHA! Gotcha in my trap didn't I? Whoever looks into my eyes becomes one of my babies!" Bickslow says without realizing it didn't work.
"You can forget about it working, I'm immune to curses and soul affecting magics. You're done here. Abjurers Curse: Chains!" Bickslow's body then became restrained by purple chains.
"That's impossible!" Bickslow says before getting knocked unconscious by the magic absorption of the chains.
"SOUL EXTINCTION!" Charon could feel evil magic and visually see a devastating hit.
"So that's her true power, better go see for myself what I'll be up against after this is over." Charon then left for where the fight had been taking place.
Charon watched Mirajane come close to executing Freed but she showed mercy and ended her take over. She told him that he was a friend and how they would watch the parade next year together.
"She's no demon... if she was, she would have ended that man's life without hesitation." Charon says watching the two cry and walks away with a smile on his face, now set on helping with the destruction of the Thunder Palace and stopping the now power hungry Laxus. "I'm gonna show you what true power looks like Laxus, right after I make a fool out of you and your worthless Thunder Palace."

Author stuff or something...
I hoped you liked the set up chapter to this story! I'm not new to Fanfiction, but I am to writing them. If anyone would like to give me some feed back or tell me how awful a human being I am, that would be much appreciated! Just cut me some slack with minor details as this is my first ever fanfic. As for my OC, I'm trying to make him more that one sided. I want him to be a badass, but not to the point of him not being thoughtful towards others. Hopefully I'll be able to achieve that throughout the diction of this fanficiton. Hahaha look at me rhyming lol.
