Ok guys before the story begins I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm writing the backstories for all the major players in my story and it's on my profile to go check it out, might learn some interesting facts...

The event area was packed with people and banners and food, oh so much food.

There we stands set up to and big table looking over the mountain scene.

"Wow..." Stacie breathes out next to me at the tables while the others are away partying.

"Yea that looks awesome..."

"You were great today..." As she says that I can feel hear rushing up to my cheeks.

"Uhhh thanks you were pretty great to."

"Awww are you blushing?" She asks laying her head on my shoulder.

Turning more red I look away from her and at the mountains. "Uhhhh no it's just really cold..."

"Uh huh sure~" she says snuggling against me.

Before I can say anything Beta sneaks up behind us.

"There giving out prizes now let's go."

"Ok..." She says tiredly and gets up.

We walk over to the main area where Jace, Ruby, and Lynda are standing on the platform waiting for us.

We walk up smiling and waving.

"AND NOW THE FIRST PLACE PRIZES!"

"50,000 glimmer to each member is the main prize and the individual prizes are: A Timur's Lash to Lynda, a Silimar's Wrath to Ruby, the Crest of Alpha Lupi to Beta, The Armamantarium to Stacie, Efrideet's Spear to Jace, and the Sunbreakers to Ben."

A loud roar of applause fills the courtyard as we all hold our prizes high.

Putting on my new gloves and feeling the power of the sun in my hands and letting a little heat come off into the air.

"Damn these are not."

"Hell ya!" Jace yells and stands on Beta's back.

"LETS HEAR IT FOR THE VICTORS ONE MORE TIME!"

The courtyard erupted in yells once again as Jace jumps into the crowd.

Laughing we walks jump down and make our way to the bar surrounded by cheering spectators.

"FREE DRINKS ON ME!" Beta yells everyone charges down.

~later that night in Ben's room~

"Dang that was hard fought and well worth it, but I can't help shake the feeling I forgot something..."

Pulling my combat robe off and putting on a shirt I hear a small metal thud.

"What the heck."

I look down and see a broken blade with dry blood on it, lying on the floor.

"..."

~ flashback~

Pain...why do I feel pain...

~ flashback~

"I remember you..."

Picking it up and squeezing it tight.

"Whatever..." Tossing it next to the bed i lie down and check the clock.

"3:02am huh..."

"Time for sleep."

As I close my eyes I feel a familiar darkness spread over me.

"You again?..." The dark voice booms.

"Yea I guess..."

"Listen runt I can't really have you popping in now and again so maybe I should kill you."

"Don't... I can help you..."

"...how?..."

"You said you had a annoyance let me take care of it for you..."

"Maybe but only if you proved yourself to me."

"How can I do that and what do I get in return?"

"You will get a taste of power and if you like the power then I will let you gain immense power if and when you take down the annoyance."

"What do I have to do?"

"...why don't you ask your ghost... After all he comes here often..."

Sorry for the short chapter guys but don't worry tomorrow it will be a brand spanking new full length chapter and now that iron banner is over we can get back to the hive theme, remember to check out the backstories I've started writing and I don't have a plan for when ima post em just when I feel I guess, but anyways go check out the first one which is out right now: Javael's past.
