I just want to thank everyone for the support and just well taking the time to read my story it's really appreciated and since the iron banner ended and the plot is getting back together there will be surprises and changes and development and all kinds of stuff and after this story ends I'm going to keep this universe (characters, events that have happened, etc) going but with new stories and POV and OCs and such.
Stretching and climbing out of Ben I made a mental note to talk with Lynx later but first we have a war meeting with the Vanguard, the Speaker, Eris and our fireteam.
Walking to my living room and finding everyone there sitting on couches and chairs with a map spread out on the coffee table and Beta and Jace whispering to eachother was not a welcoming morning scene.
Plus... I was in my boxers and a shirt one size to small.
"Good mornin-" stacie stopped when she turned and looked at me growing red in the face.
Ruby giggled and Lynda facepalms do while Beta, Jace and Cayde-6 started cracking up and Ikora rubbing the spot between her eyes.
Zavala the titan vanguard leader walked over and patted me on the back. "You don't look ready to kill a god this morning maybe we should come back later."
"WHY IS THE MEETING IN MY LIVING ROOM!"
Stacie looking at my feet and blushing still mumbled: "I thought it would be fun."
"And oh what fun this has been." Cayde says while pretending to wipe a tear from his eye.
"...ima go change..." Turning around and closing my door I hear Jace yell then a loud thud "maybe stacie should help you! OOF."
Shaking my head and cursing to myself I gets dressed and walk back out there.
"Annnnnnnd cut we'll go with take two." Jace says with a black eye and his hand in a rectangle.
"You're retarded." I say and lean against a wall.
"So let's get this meeting started."
Pointing to the map Eris starts talking.
"This is how my team got into the hellmouth and ya'll could jump down from there and land on this lower platform." She says while the map becomes 3D.
"That's the way me and Jav got down there, he pulled out his sparrow halfway down and launched it to the other side to distract the guards and we landed, we could do something similar to that but they might not fall for the same thing twice."
"Wait wait wait, you and Javael jumped down the hellmouth... And he shot his sparrow at the other end to cause a distraction?"
"Yes."
"Legendary."
"Jace shut it we got work to do." Lynda yells looking at us both.
"Anyway..." Eris continues "once you're in there you have to get to this room where they kept a shard of the traveler and when you get there you will open the remaining power from the shard and then we don't know what will happened exactly..."
"Uhhh ok can you like figure it out before we go down there?"
"We hope it will open a portal and bring Oryx out in mortal form and you can defeat him."
"You make it sound so simple, can it really be that easy?"
The vanguards and Eris look between each other then look back.
"Well... There is one problem... We don't exactly know how Jav made it to that room we just know the general direction and those tunnels are underneath the ENTIRE moon." Cayde says.
"If Jav was here this would be much easier but he's not and there's nothing we can do about it."
Ikora flinched.
"What is it i?"
"Well... I didn't tell anyone this cuz Jav wanted me to keep it secret but a while ago Jav did meet with Xür in private..."
"WHAT?!" Half the room shouts.
"I don't know what they talked about but he might know something and it's worth a shot before sending a team under the moon."
"I agree."
"When is the next time he's here?"
"In a couple of days."
"Is everyone ok with waiting?"
"Actually I need to do something by myself..." I speak up.
Jace raising a eyebrow looks at me.
"It's just a personal mission that I'd like to get done before we attack Oryx."
Stacie stands up. "Will you tell us?"
All eyes on me a sweat a little but remain calm. "I'm just checking up on a lead I got, it's personal don't ask."
"...fine" she turned and walked out.
"Stacie wait!" Lynda yells and chases.
"Well that concludes that." Cayde says and walks towards to door followed by everyone else.
Standing there alone I silently apologize to everyone.
"Sorry guys but I have to go."
~on the surface of the moon~
"Ok Lynx let's get moving."
Lynx appears and starts floating away towards an old moon base.
Walking behind him and looking around for danger as we walk inside.
"Smooth so far..." Then we hear the sound of cannon fire.
"...should I stay or should I go?"
I run outside and turn the corner and see a devil walker fighting two guardians and huge White Knight.
"You..."
Letting heat come from my Sunbreakers I charge into battle.
"Distract the devil walker." I yell at the two guardians and charge at the Knight.
They nod and charge at the devil walker.
"You again?!" The Knight yells and runs at me swinging his sword.
"Oh yea it's me the guy you cut in half but now I'm ten times more kick ass." Jumping the sword and jumping off the blade I grab his face in both hands and release intense heat charring his cheeks and getting a pain filled roar in response.
"You little scum." He throws me off and I land on my feet glaring at him.
His one good eyes stares at me for a moment then he points his sword at me.
"AAAARRRRGGGG!" I yell and fall over trapped by this green lightning that's shocking me and trapping me here.
"This time when I kill you I want you to stay dead." He says and walks closer dragging his sword on the ground.
"BEN!" A female voice yells and a giant burst of purple hits the Knight and sends him stumbling backwards.
Ruby lands next to me and frees me from the shocking ropes.
"Why did you follow me?"
"I knew you'd get into trouble, now come on and lets defeat this guy."
"Alright follow my lead."
She pulls out her shotgun and I pull out the sonic shotgun.
"CHARGE." We both rush him and jump off on ether of his arms and shoot him in the face with our guns sending him stumbling backwards.
Ruby pulls out her iron banner auto rifle and fires rounds into him piercing his armor and leaving small holes in him.
"Fuck yea." I shout and press a button on the side of the Sonic Shotgun.
"Reverse time bitch." Running right in front of him I aim at the ground and turn it on drawing in energy from the Knight then firing it back in a green bolt of energy causing him to fall on his back.
"Oi." One of the other guardians yell in warning but it comes to late as I get hit in the side by the devil walker and is sent flying over a ridge.
Landing on a pile of rocks and missing a arm and half my waist I cough blood.
"Fuck!"
Wincing in pain and trying to look around I see Ruby appear over the ridge and she jumps down landing next to me.
"BEN! Oh god." She covers her mouth.
"I'll be ok..." I manage weakly and catch on fire healing slowly and painfully.
"Damn this hurts."
She smiles weakly. "At least your alive idiot."
"True... What about the Knight?"
"He ran off."
"Damn well that's ok I guess."
"Yea you'll get him one day."
"For sure."
"Hey Ruby can you go back to the tower now I really need to do this alone."
"Heeeellllllll no. You almost died you need help."
Chuckling I sit up. "Fine fine... Can you give me a hug?"
"Uhhh sure..." She hugs me blushing a little and I smile.
"Sorry Ruby."
I attach a fusion grenade to the back of her head and her eyes widen and she explodes.
Her ghost floats there and I whisper to Lynx.
"Send her back to the tower please."
"Sure..."
Lynx sends her ghost back to the tower and we stand up.
"Time to go."
Walking back to that moon base I walk to the back of the wall and put pressure to it and it falls away.
"..."
Walking in and down the tunnels the only light is Lynx's green glow.
After a mile of walking diagonally down we come to a cage gate and looking through I see a room filled with hive all bowing down to the White Knight and that female Wizard.
"Those?"
"Tonight we have a guest!" The witch screeches.
"Oryx has foretold a cistern who shall appear though there." She yells pointing to where I'm hiding.
The gate opened up and I fell out.
"Ow." Rubbing my head I look up at a surprised witch and White Knight looking down at me.
"YOU!" They both yell.
"Yea me. Why are ya'll here?"
"Oryx told us be here at this time."
"So where is he?"
"We... Don't know..."
Lynx hovers up and expands into a dark green orb and a evil voice pours out.
"I am Oryx, I'm commutating though this ghost."
"How do we know it's really you?"
A thrall steps forward and turns black and grows spikes from his elbows and a crown of spikes rise out of the back of his head.
"There I have demonstrated my power now listen."
"Witch give Ben here the stone... He will be the one to get rid of the thorn in my side: Crota."
A collection of gasps and whisper rose up from the crowd and the witch floats next to me.
"Don't disappoint us..."
Maybe it was my desire for power or just a curiosity but I held me hand out and took the stone.
My eyes glowed green and smoke surrounded me and poured into me.
My robes were imprinted with the hive crest and green flames rose up from around me.
"Now that his hive powers have been awakened he will serve us..."
Lynx folds back into place and floats back into my chest.
I fall on my knees dazed.
The witch lifts my chin up and smirks. "You're our pawn huh?"
I started to giggle and laugh then stand up.
"With this..." Holding out my hand and green flames float around it. "You're my pawn."
"Hell no, neve-" grabbing her neck I lower her down to my eye level and gets close to her and growl. "You will obey me or I will end you..."
"..yes sire..."
I let go and stand there laughing.
