Chapter 10

After a long drive, we pulled up outside my parents house. I'm seriously nervous because although I have Matt by my side, I know my mother will ask when and where it happened…and I really don't want to go into details about it. It was a night where Matt and I had too much to drink and I kissed him. One thing led to another and now here we are about to walk into the front door to tell my parents, I'm pregnant.

"Are you ready Kaz?" Matt asked me.

"Yeah, as ready as I will ever be I suppose." I replied. Matt got out of the car and slid over the bonnet to my side. I couldn't help but giggle because he nearly fell off, he was that clumsy. But then again, I'm clumsy as well, so I guess we make a good couple. I was still laughing when he opened my door.

"What's so funny Kaz?" He asked, helping me out.

"Oh, nothing, and I'm not that big yet, I can still get up quite easily!" I said calming down, realising what I was about to do.

"Okay, okay I just didn't want you falling over, because your clumsy like that." He replied a playful smile gracing his lips. I couldn't help but smile. We walked hand-in-hand up to the big, wooden front door.

"Hello? Mum? Dad?" I shouted.

"Oh hello love, in the kitchen!" I heard mum reply. I took a deep breath, I felt Matt squeeze my hand reassuringly, reminding me that he was here for me.

We walked through the hallway and into the kitchen. Where I saw my dad sat at the table with his newspaper. Mum, stood up by the cooker, obviously cooking dad some lunch.

"Oh hello Matt dear, didn't expect to see you here!" mum said giving Matt a warm smile.

"Blimey love, you have put on some weight since I last saw you!" Mum continued

"Mum…" I started "I have something to tell you…"

"We have something to tell you." Matt said. I gave him one of those 'Thank-you' looks.

"Yes Karen, what is it?" she said, I winced, she only used my full name when she was suspicious about something.

"You'd better sit down." I told her. To my relief she sat down, not asking any questions. Sitting in silence, I felt Matt wrap his arm around my waist, comforting me that little bit more.

"Oh are you two together or something?" Mum asked.

"Well yes, we are but that's not what we came to tell you." I replied.

"What is it?" I could tell she was getting scared and worried now.

"Well, I'm pregnant…" I said looking anywhere but her eyes, I knew she would probably go haywire.

"OH MY GOD!" I heard her scream, great she's livid I thought…
