Chapter 13
Well. I have found out who leaked the news, but that's not my biggest problem at the moment. Let me start from the beginning;
Matt and I were at the hospital for another check-up since I was feeling off, Matt was adamant that I was checked to make sure everything was alright. It was all fine until, we were walking out of the hospital and we saw Steven. We stopped to say hello and to answer the normal questions; 'how are you doing?' 'how are you coping knowing that you're going to be a mother' that sort of stuff. Then a crowd of press and paparazzi came 'round the corner and spotted us. Matt and I got inside the car, but that didn't stop the camera's flashing, and the persistent banging on the windows. Then, Matt beeped the horn for the press to move out of the way of the car, I could tell Matt was angry because he rarely beeps the horn at people. We managed to get away, I felt a little guilty about leaving Steven with the press, but he's kept all of the Doctor Who stuff concealed, surely he wouldn't tell them about who I got pregnant to. Would he? Later that evening my mobile buzzed, the caller ID read 'Steven Moffat'. I remember thinking 'why is he calling me now? I'm not on WHO anymore..'
"Hello?"
"Hello Karen." Steven answered, nerves present in his voice.
"What's up?" I asked, concerned.
"I have something to tell you and Matt, so go and get him and put me on speaker."
"Okay hang on." I did as he asked, Matt worried as well, sat down and waited.
I clicked the speaker button on my mobile, and said;
"all done now Steven, Matt say hi."
"Hi Steven, what's got you ringing us tonight?" Matt said, fear lacing his voice.
"Okay, well…" he faltered.
"well?" Matt and I said in unison.
"you know when you left me alone with the press?"
"yeah?" I said.
"Well, they were asking me lots of questions about you…"
"What for? You didn't tell them anything…did you? Steven?" I asked, now worried myself.
"They asked why you two were together so often…it sort of slipped out." If I wasn't sat down I was sure I would fall over. I could feel anger boiling up inside of me, I could tell Matt was angry as well, because I looked over at him and he was doing that pouty-duck-face I knew so well.
"why…" was all that came out of my mouth, I couldn't find words.
"DID YOU TELL THEM I WAS THE FATHER?!" Matt yelled down the phone.
"n-n-n-no I didn't, only that Karen was pregnant, they said that you looked fatter than usual and that sort of made me say 'leave her alone she's pregnant' but um…"
"Steven, you kept all of the WHO story lines concealed, why couldn't you keep your mouth shut about me?" I asked.
"I'm so,so,so sorry Karen, I really didn't mean to say anything, I guess I was just a tad excited when you told me that everything was okay with your babies." He replied.
"I can't believe this! I'm going out." Matt said, kissing my forehead and leaving.
"Matt just needs to calm down, he wont be long, don't worry Steven, I'm as excited as you." I said genuinely forgiving him.
"Are you two serious then? What with your babies on the way?" He asked.
"Yeah, I guess we are. Right I have to go now, bye Steven." I said
"Right, yes okay bye Karen." He replied, I herd the phone line buzz before I hung up.
I'm still in shock about who leaked it, why couldn't he have kept his bloody mouth shut? At least they don't know who the father is, well it's not exactly going to be hard for them to work it out now though…
Matt came back shutting the door with such force that it brought me out of my reverie.
"Why would he do that?" Matt muttered, so quietly I could barely even hear him.
"I don't know, he said he was just so excited and I can hardly blame him." I said.
He just broke down at that point, I summoned him over silently and let him cry into the crook of my neck, I stroked his hair soothingly and eventually his breathing steadied out to normal.

I woke up the next morning, encased in Matt's strong arms. I didn't want to move but I needed the toilet. So I got up and made my way to the bathroom, trying not to disturb Matt in the process.
Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain deep in my abdomen, I fell to floor, the pain shockingly powerful.
"MAAAATTT!" I screamed. I heard a massive thump, and scuttling feet on the wooden flooring we have.
"Oh my god, Karen. what's the matter love?" Matt Said when he reached me.
"I don't know, I have a massive pain in my stomach I don't know what it is." I replied trying to keep myself from screaming.
"Okay, don't worry I'm phoning an ambulance." Matt told me, then rushed off to get the phone.
