So I won't be writing anything important here it will be at the end of this chapter as I feel bad for the delay of this episode, hope you enjoy this chapter at least!

Chapter XI

A Lovely Evening

As Allen woke up he noticed that Tyki was standing in the corner of their room with a troubled face as he noticed that Allen had woken up he sighed loudly.
"So kid The Earl wants to see you and Road in his office as soon as possible so try and wake up miss dreamer and get over there"
Allen simply nodded and Tyki then phased through the wall, Allen began wondering why Tyki had such a troubled face but decided to not put too much thought into it and instead began planning on how to wake up Road. At first he began shaking her lightly but it didn't seem to have any effect at all, so instead he decided to just get out of bed and think about what he should do while taking a shower.

Sadly as he got out of the shower Road had already woken up and looked to be really mad at his considering he had gotten out of bed before she had woken up.
"Ne Allen why is it that I have to keep waking up alone now a days?"
"W-W-Well Road y-y-you see I wasn't planning on getting out of bed before you woke up but Mellennie wanted to see us so I tried to wake you up but it didn't work so I went and took a shower and I was going to try and wake you up after it"
"Well you could have just waited for me to wake up you know. Well whatever I'll be mad over this later. What is it that Mellennie want to see us for?"
"I don't know Tyki didn't say but he did say that we should go and see him as soon as we can"
"Well then, I'll just take a shower ALONE so you better wait for me okey?"
Allen just nodded before continuing "You know I could just take another shower with you if you want me to"
Road just gave Allen an unpleasant stare before she went into the bathroom.

Allen sighed and laid down on the bed 'I hope she won't be too harsh on me later' Allen thought to himself with a sour face. 'Just to point something out considering how bad you are when it comes to these things. You should probably go into the bathroom or she'll be even angrier at you'

"But she didn't say okey to it"
'Well she didn't say no either so just trust me on this one okey?'
Allen just sighed but decided to trust Neah about this and went over to the bathroom door, before entering Allen gathered up some courage though it wasn't much. As he got into the bathroom Road was sitting on the toilet seat hugging her legs, when she saw Allen she began blushing as she was in her human form.
"Wha-What took you so long?" She said shyly while looking away from Allen to try and not show her red cheeks
"Well.. I wasn't really expecting you to be waiting for me like that"
"So what you where going to try and peak on me or what?" Road tried to look mad but she really couldn't cause if it was Allen peaking at her she really wouldn't mind
"Well.. No not really. Neah told me that I should come in or you'd get even angrier at me"
"Why-Why would I get angrier? I didn't say that you could come in here anyways" 'Though I probably would've gotten more mad at you if you didn't, and I'm glad that you did come in'

"Well that might be true but you never said that I couldn't come in either so"
Road just sat in silence for a little while before standing up and starting to take her clothes off "Well are you just going to stand there or are we going to have a shower?" Allen could hear that she was a bit irritated at him bet decided not to say anything about it.

When they had gotten dressed and was about to leave to go to The Earls office Tyki was standing right outside their door.
"You two took your sweet time getting ready, no matter come on The Earl is getting impatient" Road and Allen both nodded and followed Tyki to The Earls office. As they where walking through the corridors Tyki decided to light a cigarette.
Road leaned over to Allen and whispered"Ne Allen could you make Tyki's cigarette burn up or something I don't want to have to smell it all the way to Mellennies office" Allen just grinned and nodded and then began humming the song of fire low enough so that Tyki wouldn't be able to hear it, as soon as Tyki removed the cigarette from his mouth to blow up the smoke Allen made the whole cigarette began burning which led to Tyki drop it from the heat and pain from the fire.
"Haha very funny you two now let's keep moving" Tyki said in a really irritated but still serious tone which surprised both Allen and Road as they both expected Tyki to get really mad and yell at them or at least do something towards the two of them.

As they got to The Earls office he was sitting at his desk though this time he was in his human form instead of his usual Noah form.
"Thank you for bringing them here Tyki you may leave now" The Earls voice was very harsh and serious which made Allen a bit uneasy as he had never seen The Earl like this.

"Now then I'm sure the two of you understand why you're here"
"You're going to give us our first assignment right?" Allen said still a little nervous
"That's correct, though I'm a little worried of how this will go for the two of you, Tyki was seemed quite certain that you would be able to handle this Allen but it remains to see if you really are ready"
"Wait Mellennie you're not sending him out on an assignment alone are you?" Road half shouted
"Of course not you can relax you'll be with him but you are not to intervene if it's not necessary, understood?" Road just nodded in response
"Okey now then we have a lot to discuss so please take a seat" The Earl made a slight hand gesture pointing them at two chairs in front of him, both Allen and Road quickly took a seat as to not drag this out more then needed.
"Now then your target is a very dangerous person, he is a general within the black order. He is very powerful so do not underestimate him no matter what"
"Wait Mellennie you're sending him after a general this early?"
"The powers Allen possess and the things he can do with them should be enough to face a general, plus you'll be there if he needs help. I will be giving you more information on him later, but if you want to know more about him you can ask Neah as he should know lots of things about this certain general. And if he's listening to us right now he'll know exactly whom I'm talking about" The Earl finished with a grin.
"Now then you two may leave I'll send Lero to get you tomorrow when it's time for the two of you to leave."
They both nodded and left The Earls office, and as soon as they got out of the office Road took a hold of Allen's arm "What's wrong Road?" Road slowly looked up at Allen with tears in her eyes "Promise me you won't die okey?" Allen was a bit shocked at first, was it really that dangerous to go up towards a general? "I-I promise" Road then pulled Allen in and pushed herself towards his chest "You better keep that promise or I'll kill you" Allen chuckled a little and put his arms around pushed Allen away a little so that she could look up at him "Ne Allen how about we go and get something to eat before we get sent out on our first assignment?" "Sure"Allen said with a smile.

Allen was sitting right next to Road as they where eating though he had some trouble eating thanks to the fact that his mind was wandering over what The Earl had said. It didn't take long for Road to notice that Allen wasn't eating anymore "Ne Allen what's wrong?"
"It's just what Mellennie said about Neah knowing exactly who he was talking about, it's been bugging me for awhile now"
"Well have you asked Neah who he thinks it is?" Allen just shook his head "Well why haven't you ask him you idiot?"
"Well.. I don't know, I haven't really thought about asking" Allen said and chuckled a little awkwardly
"Hay Neah so who was Mellennie talking about earlier?"
'If I'm correct he's talking about Cross Marian'
"Cross who?"
'He's a general for the black order, and he kind of helped me and Mana in many ways before the time thirty five years ago when I betrayed everyone. So I'm sure this is The Earls way of test if I will try and betray everyone again or not"
"Okey, but you won't interfere with me killing him will you?"
'Of course not, I am just a spectator in all of this so you do what you feel like you need to do'
"Okey, good. Then do you have any advice you can give me for this assignment?"
'Yes. Don't let him fire a single bullet from his gun or you will have some major I'll give you more information later for now just get some rest'
"Okey"
"So what did he say?"
"Well he thinks we're going after someone named Cross Marian and that I shouldn't let him fire a single bullet from his gun, do you have any idea of what he meant by that?"
Road thought for a little bit before replying "No I can't say that I do"
"Okey.. Well he just said he'd give me more information later when we're on our way to him"
"Well how about we go do something in the mean time then?"
"Like what Road?"
"Ehmm.. How about we go out for a while?"
"Sure, but where?"
"I think that there's a market it England near to where James lives"
"Sounds like fun let's go and check it out"

As they got up from the table two Akuma servants came out to get the plates. As they where walking through the corridors to their room they came by the library, surprisingly enough there was no one in there. "I guess we're the only ones left here" Road said looking up at Allen who simply nodded in response. They walked in silence the rest of the way both of them being deeply engulfed with thoughts.
When they finally got to their room which had seemed to taken forever Road decided to try and lighten the mood so that they at least could have some fun at the market.
Allen had entered the room first so Road decided that this would be her time to try and change the mood slightly, she slowly walked up behind Allen trying to make as little noise as possible. When she got close enough she put her hands around his waist hugging him from behind
"Ne Allen how about we don't think about all of this for a bit and focus on having fun at the market instead?"
Allen just stood there while he had Road hugging him from behind before quickly removing her grip and turning around and returning the hug.
"Okey sorry for being so moody, let's go and have some fun shall we?"
"Well let's at least change before we go" Road said looking up at Allen with a smile, Allen simply smiled back and hugged her a little tighter before letting go.

Road walked up one of the big wardrobes that held most of her clothes, she looked through the massive collection of clothes before deciding to pick a purple dress with some black material on the outer part of it the dress itself wasn't that formal so she thought it was just perfect for the market they're going to. Allen had picked out a par of black pants that sat a bit tight and a black and purple t-shirt with a black jacket which had two inner pockets, Allen put a lighter in one of them and a small bottle of water in the other.
"Ne Allen why are you taking with a whiskey bottle and a lighter to the market? You're not gonna smoke and drink while we're there right?"
"What? No it's just for if we'd be forced to fight I'd like to be able to protect myself. And I have water in the whiskey bottle so you can calm down"
Road just giggled "I'm just teasing you dummy, now then how about we get going?" as Road had finished her sentence she materialized a heart shaped door behind her.
Allen quickly walked up to the door and opened it but he didn't enter he simply stood on the side making a slight hand gesture "Ladies first" Road giggled and as she walked past him through the door she said gently "Thank you mister gentleman" which made them both chuckle.

When they had gone through the door they where in an alley that looked a lot like the alley they usually exit to get to James shop.
As they walked out of the alley they where met by a large group of people that where moving along the sidewalks.
"Ne Allen were do you thing they're heading?"
"Probably towards the market, we could just follow them and we should get there"
"Okey" Road said with a smile and took a hold of Allen's arm as they began following the large group of people.
The group in front of them were being very loud and seemed to enjoy each other to the fullest which made Allen think of how special this night would be.

As they got closer the market they where met with music and a lot of voices.
"Road are you sure it's a market and not a festival?"
"Aren't those two pretty much the same?"
"No not really" Allen said while chuckling, which in turn made Road blush.
"H-How was I supposed to know that? Mellennie never took me to a festival before" Road said with a slightly depressed tone
"So it's your first time huh? Well" Allen stopped walking and took a hold of Road's hands and looked her in the eyes with a big smile
"Then let's make this a night to remember shall we?" Road didn't reply she simply smiled and nodded as a tear ran down her cheek, as the tear drop rolled down her cheek to her chin she pressed herself towards Allen's chest.
The hug only lasted for a few seconds and when they broke it off they noticed that they had eyes and smiling faces faced towards them.
When the crowd noticed that they where looking towards them most of them looked away some of them even began talking about the couple and some where talking about their memories of when they where around that age.

It didn't take long for them to finally reach the festival but when they did they both froze in awe as they saw how the streets and most of the buildings had been decorated and where lit by torches. Both of their eyes had gotten glued towards a hanging piece of cloth, the cloths pattern looked to be of a big heart with a couple holding each other underneath the heart.
"Road, do you know what day it is today?"
"Ehmm I think it's the fourteenth of February, why?"
Allen didn't reply he simply began laughing
"What's so funny Allen? What's so special about today?"
Allen began calming down as he saw that Road was starting to get mad "Well.. You see today is Valentines day"
"Valentines day? What's that?"
"Well you see it's a day two people that love each other do thing together and express their love, I don't really know that much more about it though"
"Oh.." Was all Road could say as she began blushing.

They stood there for a little while before Allen took a hold of Road's hand
"How about we get going and make the most of tonight?"
Road just smiled and nodded and they began walking around the large area the festival was stretching over. There where a lot of different shops around and a big ferris wheel decorated whit roses and and lots of paper hearts, it also had some glowing lights on it's sides.
As Road's eyes finally wandered to the big ferris wheel she loudly gasped in awe and pointed towards it "Allen what is that thing?"
"I think they call it a ferris wheel. And it seems that they've decorated it to match this occation" Allen responded with a smile
"Oh and Road would you mind waiting here for a second I saw a shop that had some things I wanted to check out"
"Can't I come with you?"
"Well there is this small little tradition to give a gift to the person you love during valentines day, you could go and look for something for me in the meantime okey?"
"O-Okey" Road responded with a small blush.
"Good then let's meet up here again in a little while okey?" Allen said while looking at Road with a smile, Road just simply nodded in response and the two of them split up looking for gifts for each other.

Allen POV

Allen was looking behind him from time to time to see so that Road wasn't trying to follow him and see what he was planing to buy for her. As he finally got to the small stall that he had seen the necklace at he smiled widely, the necklace had a small dark purple stone hanging on it and the band going around the neck was made out of some black material Allen was unsure of what it really was.
"Ah another young lad looking for something to buy for hs beautiful princess hmm?" Allen was a little shocked at first but as he looked up he saw a quite old man standing on the other side probably the owner of the stall.

"Yeah hehe you could say so"
"So anything particular that you've got your eyes on?"
"Well yes this necklace is really beautiful" Allen said as he picked up the necklace and held it in his hand
"Ah yes it is indeed, you know there are actually two ear rings that match that necklace perfectly if you're intrested"
"Ehmm can I see them first?"
"Of course of course" The old man then quickly bent down beginning to dig around in the mess on the other side. It didn't take long for him to find the ear rings though
"Here they are" he said as he rose up and held out his hand which held two beautiful ear rings. The ear rings both had a stone hanging from the part where the piercing was to enter the hole in your ear, the stones where both in a dark shade of purple as well like the necklaces stone. But these had circle like shape on them but you had to look really careful to see it.
"They are beautiful"
"I'm glad you like them, but I do think my wife will be even happier as she was the one who made them"
"She's really talented. So how much for them?"
"Hmm.. As you seem like a very kind lad I'll give you a small discount so let's say two pounds"
"That's pretty expensive"
"Well they are all home made and they are truly beautiful aren't they?"
"Well.. Fair enough here you go" Allen finished as he handed over two pounds the old man then put the necklace and the ear rings in a small paper bag.
"Thank you so much and have a great evening" The old man said as Allen went to meet up with Road again.

Road POV

As Allen was on his way towards the jewelry stall Road was walking around looking for something to buy for him. As she was walking down the many different stalls that where there she saw a quite beautiful lighter, she walked up to the stall and picked up the ligher and began inspecting it. The lighter was a zippo lighter was of silver and had some engravings on it.
"Aren't you a little young to use that?"
Road looked up a little to see a middle aged man standing on the other side with a big smile.
"Ah well yes, but it's not for me it's a gift"
"Ah okey, that makes sense" the man said and smiled "Well that will be.."
The man wasn't able to finish before Road interrupted him "Yeah yeah, here will this do?" Road said and handed the man two pounds.
The man got a bit shocked but he simply nodded and took the money Road began walking again when she had payed.
Road walked around a little bit more but couldn't find anything else that she wanted to give Allen, after a little bit more looking around she finally gave up and got a bit sad and began walking back to where they were supposed to meet up again.

When Road had found her way back she saw Allen sitting on a bench waiting for her, she was a bit sad still that she wasn't able to find anything else but the lighter but decided to cheer up and make the most of tonight. When Allen finally saw Road in the crowd he stood up and began walking up to her and hugged her when he got close enough. When they let go of each other Allen took a hold of Roads hand and began pulling her a little bit.
"Road let's go and have a ride in the ferris wheel and when we get back home we can give each other the gifts we bought okey?"
"Okey" Road said with a smile as they made their way through the crowds to the ferris wheel.
When they got to the ferris wheel they realized how much bigger it was then it had seemed, and to Allen's surprise the ferris wheel ride was both free and there wasn't many people going for the ride. It was probably because it still wasn't all that late but he really didn't really care.
As they got on the ferris wheel and began going higher and higher they got a full view of how large the festival actually was. AS they where reaching the top both of them where looking out trying to all the beauty in and Allen thought this might be a good time to try and be a bit romantic and he grabbed a hold of Road and pulled her close and then kissing her deeply and for long time.

The rest of the night they spent by walking through all the different stalls, sadly they never got to meet James but neither of them really minded it much anyways. They where at the festival for about three hours but as all good things it had to come to an end.
When they began walking home they noticed how there wasn't much people left as most of them had probably already made their way home so it didn't take long until they got to a place where they could open a door without anyone seeing. The door led straight to their room
"So Road how about we trade our gifts right away?"
Road just nodded, Allen smiled and took out the bag with the jewelry from his pocket and handed it to Road with a smile.
Road took the bag and slowly opened it her mind was wandering of what it might be, when she was the necklace and earrings she let out a small gasp in awe.
"Do you like them?" Allen said smiling a little bit
"I.. Love them" Road said with a small tear running down her cheek.
Road put her hand down her pocket and hoped that the lighter would be enough for Allen thought the gift he had given him made her think otherwise but she still took out of her pocket and handed it to Allen.
Allen took up the lighter and began inspecting it carefully looking at the engravings on the sides of the lighter, Road began getting a bit nervous over the fact that he might not have liked it but when he began smiling her thoughts quickly changed.
"So.. Do you like it?"
"I love it. Though I don't smoke but I'm sure I can find a use for it" Allen said with smile that slowly turned to be more sadistic, which Road really liked to see.

After they had exchanged the gifts they began kissing and slowly undressing each other they weren't being too gentle so they ended up stumbling and falling down in the bed, but they both refused to stop so they continued to kiss whilst rolling around in the bed trying to get their clothes off.
After a little while they had both gotten their clothes off and Allen was on top of Road kissing her whilst giving her some foreplay, before he put it in and began thrusting gently inside her.
Road began moaning lightly as Allen's breathing became heavier as their lips connected from time to time only separating to catch their breaths. Allen began thrusting harder and deeper but still kept his slow pace. Allen began quickening the pace and Road's moans got louder as Allen got closer to his climax so did Road. Road began almost screaming as she dug her nails down in Allen's back as she hit her climax.
Allen was close after as his arms gave out on him and he fell on top of Road who put her arms around him as they where both breathing heavily.
"I love you" Road whispered in Allen's ear who rose up from the sound of his lovers voice came into his ear.
Allen put his head in front of Road's and slowly kissed her and said "I love you too" between the breaths they both had to take.
After a while of kissing he rolled over and laid flat on his back and pulled Road on top of him and put his arms around her before putting his head back and trying to sleep.

Allen quickly dozed off, Road however didn't fall asleep so fast as she spent a long time of the night just staring up at Allen thinking of how lucky and afraid she was, she felt lucky to have found him but afraid that she might lose him tomorrow. After a little while of thinking on it all Road came to the conclusion that there was no point in over thinking on it and she had to trust Allen and his powers and decided to try and get some sleep, which it didn't take long for her to do as she fell asleep almost instantly.

Okey so I want to apologize for the delay of this chapter, I was moving and me and my family went to our vacation house (this was the weekend after and the next one after the last chapter was published) so all that made it hard for me to have the want to write anything. I am really sorry for the delay. Some good news though I've started to take up this fanfic in school so every week during my English class I have about 45 minutes to write on this one so I will get something done, I will try and get something done on my spare time as well I can't promise anything though.
